Just installed the 12,000 BTU solar kit. The kit was excellent. Packaged well, shipped securely. It had nearly everything you need for installation. The instructions are clear, the connections nearly impossible to get wrong (you would have to really work at it to get it wrong). My installation took 2 days, primarily due to hot weather and the task of getting the panels up on my roof. But the units themselves only took a few hour to install. My workshop is now cool (I live in New Mexico and days get hot) - the workshop is 22' x 19' and well insulated. I don't have AC power out there yet so having airconditioning powered by the sun is perfect. I have already recommended this kit to my neighbors whose workshops are in need.

It’s a bit strange to give a 5-star review when you never get the product you order, but Shop Solar Kits deserves it.

Or more specifically, Keri, their Operations Manager does.

Trying to keep a long and twisted story short: I ordered a proprietary cable for my EcoFlow system. When it hadn’t shipped when expected I followed up. Keri quickly sent me an email saying she’d follow up.

Neither of us expected that it would turn into such a fiasco with EcoFlow. From the cable being discontinued, the replacement part number not existing in EcoFlow’s system, verifying with EcoFlow that the new cable fit my generation of product, to finally getting the cable, but not having it fit as promised.

Keri treated me like I was their best customer who had placed a large order. The communication and service was excellent.

We eventually learned that the manufacturer no longer makes a cable to support the system I bought 3 years ago.

Luckily I found one on eBay.

Great customer service. A team member was very helpful in resolving my issue. They were prompt to respond to my inquiry email as well. I would buy from them again.

I was sent the correct part on a timely basis. The only thing I could fault Shop Solar is that they continually charge me city tax. I have repeatedly sent them proof that I do not live in city limits, but I do have a city mailing address.

Working with Maddie on the phone helped make my experience much easier.

I've built a nice a nice solar system based on a few purchases from Shop Solar. I found their video quite helpful with the education that I received. I recommend the them as a company and the place to purchase.

Very trustworthy in every way. It's obvious that they really want to help people benefit from solar power.
Example: An electrical engineer handles their sales. He was extremely generous with his time and patient in explaining my various options. The selection of items was top notch and the prices were very fair. I had a chance to experience their customer service when there were panels damaged during shipping and they were very reassuring and pleasant to deal with. There was one company that was almost as good but I'm sure that I chose the best one. It's rare in life to be completely satisfied by a company but I was, very much so

Purchase and delivery was good, but support after the sale has disappointed me. I am new to solar and requested that the company provide me with assistance on how to set up and connect the portable solar panels to my new solar generator. Almost 2 weeks since this request and no response. I made this purchase with the belief that support would add value to this sale, but that has not proven to be the case.

6/22/26 Update - ShopSolar reached out to me and provided the needed information. I increased the rating to a 4 based on this update. Thanks!

Very good experience dealing with Shopsolar! Mathew and Alex were very patient when I had questions about purchasing a solar system. I had questions about purchasing a proper solar array system for my home. Mathew and Alex took the time to discuss different options, never pressuring me to spend more money, but to fit the best system for my home.
