When I first enquired about units, Lewis was very helpful, he took the time to explain the unit sizes to me and went the extra mile to show me one I was most interested in.

Since obtaining a unit, he has continued to show great customer service by answering my questions.

The location is ideal for me and signing up was very straightforward. Gaining access also straightforward, the follow up call to check my move in day went as planned, also a lovely touch on top.

Farid provides excellent service. Really knowledgeable person, explained everything from A to Z!

The storage is neat and organised. The staff we met on two occasions were very helpful. The manager on duty was very understanding and helped us out when one of the lifts was not working. He is a Sierra Leone man, but I can't remember his name.

Very helpful support at the storage centre by the Shurgard person working there.

All was great however the storage unit is closed too early. Also no lift, I'm lucky I'm young and healthy but this is a bit of a nightmare. Also my storage unit was hard to find, no real directions for it once you go in the building. App is good. Location is cool. Overall Would be 5 stars if they had a lift & close later.

Extremely incompetent and have charged me £200 for two extra months despite me giving adequate notice as PER their policy and now refusing to give me refunds. Do not use them, rude management there and will steal your money.

Everything was fine. But we had a really hard time finding our container. It would have been nice if there were signs inside the building.

Customer service was good, and the storage is so clean,safe and organised.

I would have given five stars to one-off the staff named DEMON but because of my experience with the lift that got stocked I have to four stars. DEMON has a great customer served andnhe made me forget about my first time terrifying experience.

Good customer service, all very easy to sort out. Can talk to actual humans on the phone, which is brilliant.

I signed up online and when I arrived I realized the storage locker I was assigned didn’t exist. I checked the maps and walked around the entire premises and couldn’t find it. I called support, but it was after 6pm and no was available to answer.

Having moved from Big Yellow to Shurgard, I'm very disappointed in the difference in quality. My fault for not viewing the Shurgard unit before moving in (it was the closest to where I needed it to be) but it is like a prison! Where Big Yellow is slick, clean, modern, spacious - with radio playing and a big car park, this is the opposite end of the scale. Admittedly they're extending at the moment so the tiny car park was full of builders' cars, but it was very awkward to park in there - never mind if I was trying to unload anything. The lifts are proper warehouse lifts with the two sets of doors to PULL closed yourself - not what i was expecting. And the units don't have roofs?! Just a wide mesh across the top - so dust and dirt can easily fall into your unit from the main roof above and dirty your stored items. I definitely wouldn't be storing personal stuff there - at least it's just work stuff that is mostly in boxes. I guess this is why they are so much cheaper than other sites for certain size units - though still incredibly expensive for others (price is based on demand, not pre-set!).
