This company is pretending to sell unthrottled LTE plans but like 20 gbytes into the month your rates go down to dsl speeds and they pretend like they are working on the problem.

started out great but didn’t last, deceitful
I started out great with high speed for s couple of months then it didn’t work at all. They told me it was something on AT&T’s side. It took a month to get a new SIM card. This was in September of 2021. I’ve only at .5 mbps since September. I have all the emails with support saying the engineers are working on it. I’ve taken dozens of pics of my Speedtest and proof for them that the hotspot(purchased from Skymobile) was set correctly with a custom APN. Like a fool I kept paying them on the promise they would credit me when they got it solved. 6 months later it’s still not fixed and they credited me for 1 month with a snarky reply from Ricki Steiberg their billing specialist. I have now gone onto eBay and purchased another plan or less money that is running at 70 Mbps with no issues. Sky mobile is a third-party vendor that is being fully throttled by AT&T. I gave them every opportunity to make this right and I was very respectful With my correspondence. They on the other hand were disrespectful And deceitful. They say they don’t have contracts and I could cancel at any time. Does that mean I should have cancelled at the first sign of trouble instead of working with their tech team for a resolution? Notice their response doesn’t deny the Fact that my service was down for 6 months and they still couldn’t fix it and are not interested in making it right. Use their service at your own risk.

My experience with SkyMobile has been frustrating. We received our box and had 4 days of GREAT service. When we hit 30gb of data, our service went away. When SkyMobile tech support was emailed, they were very polite. After 5 days of requesting updates and no internet, I asked to cancel my service. SkyMobile made NO attempt to return us to service. They were very prompt in sending us a label to return our device. Ugh.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. No phone number, they respond sporadically in the middle of the night via email with surface level emails that won’t answer your questions.
Our internet has been out completely for two months and they have charged us for both months. After asking for an actual refund, no one will respond.
UPDATE:
They responded to this review, but never emailed me. They also reference “adjusting my bill” after specifically asking them to cancel and refund our money. Will have another review coming soon.
RESPONSE:
I’ve emailed you 5-6 times to those email addresses below. You guys continue to lie. These are the same email addresses that have been responding to me previously. Now that I want a refund after no service for

Had the red plan for several months. Signal is good but speed is all over the place, and too many dropouts. Support told me to move router near window. Did that, and same. Cancelling, not worth it. Going with Starlink.

Early morning text messages and slow data speeds
Saturday, 2/19/22 at 12:21am, I received a text message letting me know Skymobile had trouble processing my payment. Woke me out of a sound sleep. Later Saturday morning, I entered new payment information.
Sunday, 2/20/22 at 12:21am, I received a second text message letting me know Skymobile had trouble processing my payment. Again, woke me out of a sound sleep. Later Sunday morning, I entered a third payment information.
Monday, 2/21/22 at 12:21am, I received a third text message letting me know Skymobile had trouble processing my payment, again waking me out of a sound sleep.
After sending an email inquiring about the payment trouble, I got a reply back stating payment was posted to my account on 2/20.
Yesterday, I got a notice on my ATT modem that my data limit of 10GB was reached and my data speeds were throttled down to 512kbs.
I sent an email to Skymobile's support email address at 12:06pm inquiring about the slower speeds.
I received an email back at 1:21pm a support ticket was opened about the slower speeds and they would contact me after hearing back from their engineers.
The data speed this morning is still around 512kbs
02/23/2022 @ 13:31 - no response yet and no change in speed.
02/25/2022 @ 05:53 - no change in speed. Last email response was that engineers are still working with AT&T on the issue on 2/23/2022 @ 16:08. Wonder if there are that many problems with other user's download/upload speeds?
02/25/2022 @ 11:19 - response from Skymobile support there is still no update from their engineers on this issue and they will notify me when there is an update.
03/01/2022 @ 22:55 - still no response from Skymobile support.
03/03/2022 @ 22:26 - still no response from SKY mobile support. Sent an email to Skymobile's support email requesting a refund and to cancel my account.

Extremely slow speeds
Extremely slow speeds. Decent for basic browsing but definitely no good for any videos (including youtube). Streaming is out of the question entirely. I have been in contact with their support team via the email they provided me months ago and there are no solutions. The service is just slow (maybe 1mb/s on a good day). Service isn't worth more than $20 a month.

We use the Skymobile Red plan for our RV travels. Love the simplicity and get great speeds. Much better than our previous provider. We also love that don't have to physically install anything into or on our RV. Just plug it in and it works.

I just got mine (red plan) today tested it out in my house and the wifi is slower then my cell data im in a dead zone it this doesnt xfinity free wifi is faster. I bought it cuz im a truck driver and wanted to have service while im out. The plan coverage says my area gets 5g

I absolutely LOVE my Sky Mobile
I absolutely LOVE my Sky Mobile wifi router! I ordered the C4R400 Red Plan. I was expecting a thick booklet of instructions, but you just plug it in and turn it on! I live in rural North Texas, and pretty much gave up on ever watching Netflix or On Demand again. But I get it all now, and it hasnt buffered one time. Very very happy with Sky Mobile! THANK YOU!

Had this service for just one day and I highly recommend them, i live in a rural area and have no real internet providers that don't cost a kidney for like 150Gbs of data per month and that doesnt last very long with kids and my own personal needs. Thanks SkyMobile you guys are awesome!
Pink plan a waste of money
The service (using their Pink plan (T-Mobile) and Gli.Net router) has never worked reliably. In the 8 months I've paid for the service, I have been able to get about 60 minutes of usable internet. I realize I should have reached out to Skymobile earlier, but even when I did, their recommended change to the router still yielded no functional service. I'm not sure where the issue lies, but the Pink offering of hardware and plans cannot be recommended.

Tech support is slow
I ordered the SIM only package as my wireless modem was acceptable with the Skymobile LLC required equipment list. I received the SIM card on Saturday, July 31st. I replaced the old SIM card and the Skymobile service started working as planned.
This morning around 8:30am, I had no internet service and the modem had a message "Mobile Broadband Disconnected". Moments after seeing that message, I sent a message through Skymobile's website message center that I had a problem and what did I need to do to fix that. I've had no contact yet.
At 10am I sent an email to their tech support center outlining my problem and asking for a solution. Finally, at 11:11 I got a response to factory reset the modem. Will try that to see if that work.
Tech support suggested doing a factory reset via paperclip method.
Around 11:25, just before performing the factory reset, mobile broadband connectivity was restored.
I did the factory reset and the modem appears to be working ok at this time.
As a result, I have upgraded my rating.
Update: On September 1st around 8:30am, my modem quit working giving me a message that “SIM not provisioned MM#2”. I notified tech support via email around 9:38am about the issue. And 9:52am I received an email from tech support notifying me that that they have reached out to their engineers to take a closer look. They told me would get back when they had more information. I was also asked to factory reset my modem. At 3:47pm, I received an email from Tech Support informing me that the engineers have submitted this line for refresh and that it is currently in pending status.
Still waiting for latest update as of Sept 2nd around 11:30.
When the service is working - it works very well. I'm a little disappointed in two outages roughly a month apart.
Update Sept 2nd. Skymobile let me know that AT&T performing network upgrades in my area requiring a new SIM card.
9/8/2021: Received new SIM card. Back up online running normal.
Update: Sept 11, 2021: Internet connectivity slowed down greatly to 0.49; 0.30 and 0.29 Mbps. Checking the modem, I received a message from AT&T that my 10GB data plan was used up and that data usage would be slowed down to 512Kbps until several days later. Surprised there was a 10GB data limit as I am paying for an unlimited plan. Sent an email to Skymobile tech support this afternoon asking for help.

We pay $150 monthly for this internet service and it isn’t even worth a penny of that. The internet speeds are absolutely horrible. For a while now I test it every day, and some days it lags a little, but most days I can’t get at least 1mbps. It’s the worst. When I contact customer service they just recommend you spend more money on more equipment to help the internet. I just feel like if I’m paying $150 a month it should at least work and I shouldn’t have to spend more money on more equipment to make my internet work. But we are gonna try this booster they recommend and see. I don’t have high hopes. Don’t waste your time or money. All they care about is money. Their internet is trash!

Dump these unprofessional people!
I ordered a SIM card from them for AT&T service. SIM card did not work in the NetGear NightHawk M1Modem I purchased new on eBay. Error message said "SIM not installed" even though it was, and was seated properly. After a lot of emailing, since they will not answer their phone, they advised to send it back. I did and also sent the modem back to eBay seller. I then ordered a NetGear NightHawk modem from SkyMobile with SIM already installed, at about $120 more than eBay. They refunded my SIM card payment, then flippantly cancelled my modem order. I ordered it a second time, and they cancelled my order again. After a dozen emails to these inept people, they will not tell me why the orders were cancelled, nor return my emails. Don't waste your time with these unprofessional airheads. Revolt Broadband has the exact same AT&T unlimited data service for $99, $30 less than SkyMobile each month. Do yourself a favor and dump SkyMobile!

They never fulfilled my order
They never fulfilled my order. However they did cancel upon my request. I was promised 1 to 3 day shipment and finally gave up after several weeks. I attempted to communicate, however I would only receive a generic email stating that orders usually shipped within one to three days. I then saw another ad on Facebook for them and politely commented to warn people away. Somehow my comment was deleted.

I submitted an order on February 19th, 2021 for a device in addition to services. I was informed that device orders shipped out in 3-5 business days, but it’s been seven. I called their customer service department, but was only redirected in circles by a bot. I emailed their customer service department and was promised a response in 24 hours, but nothing. I’m a college student and I live in a rural area, so I have no other options outside of slow, satellite internet. If I could cancel, I would. If you have other options, do not use Skymobilellc.
Edit: They responded that they’ve been in email contact with me, but they sent me an email after this review for the first time.
