Products not received and very poor customer communication and service
Placed an order on 9/12/2020 which was well in advance for when I needed the products on Christmas Eve.
Apart from the order confirmation, no other communication about dispatch received so I followed up again in the week leading up to Christmas. It was blamed on the delay with Royal Mail and no tracking provided. I’ve had no other delays with Royal Mail shipments from elsewhere though.
Nearly a month later, I still have not received my order or any further updates. I’ve emailed again a few days ago about this and asking for a refund as I’ve ordered what I needed by Christmas Eve, elsewhere, but Small Eco Steps have not yet responded to my last email.
The communication is terrible and the customer service too. I will not be purchasing from here again.

I am so sorry that you had such a negative experience, and that your parcel has still not arrived. Please know that we have taken your experience on board and will do what we can to make sure other customers aren't disappointed.
I can see that your order was sent using our free postage option, which is Royal Mail Second Class with a signature - the dispatch and delivery is tracked, but we aren't able to see where a parcel is in the network or raise a ticket with Royal Mail until two weeks have passed from its' expected arrival date of 3-5 working days. We advised of this and apologised when you contacted us, and we also offered a free return and refund should it not arrive by Christmas Eve as you had hoped it would.
Royal Mail have done an incredible job in getting unprecedented parcel volumes to customers in the lockdown and pre-Christmas period, but sadly delays to the usual delivery times were widespread and parcel losses have increased. As a company we have tried to make sure we communicate this to customers via our website, social media and order confirmation email, and that we offer a fully tracked priority dispatch option as well.
We aim to respond to all messages and emails and process refunds within 24 hours of receiving them, but at busy times it can take 2-3 days. I appreciate that when it takes closer to 3 days, it can be frustrating. We are training additional staff at present so that we can improve upon these timescales and provide the best experience possible to our customers.
Again, I am very sorry for the disappointment and frustration that you have experienced and hope that you will give us another chance in future; we would be happy to offer a free upgrade to the tracked, priority dispatch option by way of apology.
