Booking really easy. Affordable, reasonable and competitive pricing. Everything was clearly explained ahead of the process. Took 1.5 hours in total and they found 50 Snags, 47 of which are being rectified by our property developer. They said our house was in excellent condition as with worser properties you can find 100-250 snags. So glad we paid for the service as we would not have found even a quarter of the things he noticed, so worth the money! Would definitely recommend if you are buying a new build.

Snag my new home provides excellent experience for me with their professional service, they also provides me a quick and detailed report.

I paid £425 for a full snagging inspection of my 4-bedroom house by Waseem from Snag My New Home, but the service was very disappointing.

Many key areas promised on their website were missed — including the loft and electrical plugs. I found over 15 snags myself after the inspection, such as scratches, missing clips, kitchen cabinet misalignment, and a noisy French door, none of which were reported.

When I raised concerns, customer service blamed “human error” and referred to their terms and conditions. Waseem called me back but refused to acknowledge the missed areas, arguing instead over the small issues he did find. His tone was unprofessional, and he even used foul language during the conversation.

He claimed a thermal scan only works in winter and said he’d find problems manually but never checked the loft where we later found damage.

The inspection took only about 1.5 hours, which seems rushed for a house this size. I’m doubtful about their equipment and thoroughness.

I was only refunded £150 and now have to pay another company to properly complete the snagging. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Snag My New Home.

Very easy to book and professional survey, with a clear report (pictures help too).

I booked our appointment with ease via the website and within a few minutes, I received a WhatsApp and email confirming my booking.

On the day of inspection itself, customer care reached out again to confirm that our surveyor was stuck in traffic so would be slightly delayed and they provided a new eta. I thoroughly appreciated the transparency!

Waseem came to my property and did a thorough inspection. He stayed for approximately two hours, inspecting every inch of the property. Before leaving, he told me the number of snags he had identified and reassured me that there were no structural snags identified.

I was due to receive the report by 10pm the next day, but it arrived the following morning. I reached out to customer care to check the status of the report and they confirmed that I would receive it within the hour and I did. I appreciate that life happens and so the slight delay in receiving the report hasn’t affected my impression of the company, hence the 5 stars. The report was detailed with imagery and supporting text, clearly outlining and indicating the snagging issue visible.

The transparency of communication has been excellent. I have found them to be very responsive and polite via WhatsApp.

Less than one hour service charged 350 pounds. Misleading by a single flat fee for pre and post investigations. Customer service is awful. No respect at all even using the word “your brain needs to get checked”,”you need to learn English”. Unbelievable

We recently had a snagging survey done for our 3-bed new build flat, hoping for peace of mind in case we missed anything. The website advertised that the survey would take around 4 hours, but the visit lasted barely 45 minutes.

Several obvious issues were missed, such as visible gaps in the flooring, which we later had to identify ourselves. This is exactly what we expected the surveyor to catch. The final report listed a number of snags, but only a handful were significant — and those were ones we had already spotted on our own.

Overall, if you have even basic DIY knowledge, the service didn’t feel worthwhile in our case. It may provide a long list of small cosmetic items, but don’t expect it to catch the bigger or more obvious issues.

I wasn't in town, and told by building people that they use app only.
I don't hate apps, but they missed so many things like sink pipe leaks, even loose door handles.
The report is very looks focused. It did find out something i don't, but reveals nothing on functional side.

From the second we enquired we were very impressed how quick and efficient snag my new home were, we booked in and had support threw WhatsApp from the get go, on arrival waseem was very friendly and asked us if we had any concerns or things we would like to ask which we thought was a nice touch, he was also very knowledgeable and made the process easy I would definitely recommend for further reference thanks waseem and team

Unfortunately the first appointment we had booked the snagger who came out refused to snag the property because it was ‘not finished’ - however judging by the pictures we were sent, and the fact we moved in to a completely finished home less than 48 hours after the appointment, I think he was being a bit dramatic to refuse to snag. This lead to wasted time and effort for both us and the snagger which in my opinion could have been avoided. I don’t believe any issues were picked up in the second appointment that couldn’t have been picked here.

Note they charge 50% to rebook an appointment - it’s in their T&C’s to be fair, but we were lucky our developer covered this cost so just beware if you are asking them to snag a home that isn’t completely 100% perfectly finished.

With that said, the second snagger who came to the property, Elijah, was excellent. We are very happy with the service he provided, he walked me through some of the main issues and why they could be a problem, and sent a detailed report a few days later. He also let us know that he needed to change the appointment time slightly so we knew to expect him at a new time and weren’t waiting around.

The communication over WhatsApp was also very convenient throughout the process.

I would recommend this company if you can guarantee your property is 100% finished and cleaned by time they go round to snag.

Very good service

Having been advised to get a Snagger as buying a new build I was given the details of Snag My New Home. The Man that came was very nice and polite. So worth the money and have since recommended him to my cousin who is moving a few doors down. Sorry cannot remember his name but such an experienced chap.
