Chris at the Bolton store has been really helpful when we’ve come in to choose a new sofa. He’s helped amended the sizes so we can make the most of the made to measure that’s available.

Visited the Middlebrook, Bolton store recently to look at sofas.

There was no real welcome or acknowledgement when we entered the showroom, and although there were staff on the shop floor, no one came over to offer assistance while we were browsing. We were left to walk around on our own, which made the experience feel quite disengaged compared to what you would normally expect in a furniture showroom.

We did find a few sofas we liked towards the back of the store, so spent some time looking around, but overall the customer experience could definitely be improved in terms of engagement and support.

One point of feedback is around the television in the showroom. A news channel was being displayed during our visit, which felt unsuitable for a retail environment where customers are trying to relax and make purchasing decisions. We changed it to something more neutral, however a member of staff later switched it back again. When we mentioned it, another staff member commented, “yes, he likes that channel,” which came across as dismissive and unprofessional in the context of a customer experience.

Unfortunately, due to the overall experience, we have decided to take our business elsewhere.

Overall, the store has good products on display, but the customer service approach and in-store environment could be improved to make it feel more welcoming and comfortable for shoppers.

Chris at the Bolton store had a mountain of knowledge for each and every sofa that really helped us put together a style and a package we fell in love with. 10/10

Chris is an absolute legend, very informative and helpful. We got a great deal and the warrenty agreement is better than all the other stores. Cant wait for it to arrive! Thank you

Gary F was very welcoming, knowledgable and honest and made our experience really easy all in all. If we ever need another sofa, we’ll certainly be back!

I ordered and paid in full for two sofas in November 2025. It’s June 2026 and my Sofas are nowhere to be seen. Zero out of ten for customer service. Have called 6 times and emailed repeatedly and all they say is it will be then end of Feb then the end of March then the end of April then the end of May. Guess what they said when I last called… it will be the end of June. They won’t let me speak to a manager when I ring. I asked for a total refund and was told that only head office can offer a refund. No answer at head office. Cowboys!

Gary F and Max are brilliant and very pleasant answering all my enquiries. Looking forward to finalise the deals with them and the Warrington branch!

Had a good experience in store today as max was very helpful. Explained everything in detail for us. Couldn’t do enough for us. Sofa is ordered 😁

Great store. Good choice of stock, very good prices. Friendly staff, we dealt with chris who was clearly knowledgeable and very helpful.

Worst company I have ever dealt with, no after sales team, delivered a couch with broken foot missing buttons whole in material waited over 4 months for new one that still wasn’t wat we had arranged on phone, can’t make contact as they don’t answer phone in the shop or head office, it goes to answer phone for a Tesco mobile number as all the lines all full with other complaints , 6 months diwn line still have couch with wrong feet! Stay clear of this unprofessional company spend money with a reputable shop,

I recently visited this store in middlebrook retail a member of staff (Chris Burton) introduced himself and then left me to browse. When I was ready he took a lot of time and patience as I was after made to measure furniture and I explained it might be a couple of weeks before my money comes through and I would need to check measurements he still took the time with me and can’t wait to see him again to place my order 😃
