Referrald Provided
I requested quotes on supply and installation of a solar battery. Two referrals were raised from reputable installers and quotes were provided promptly. Unfortunately, after considering the quotes, I decided not to proceed as the outlay would take too long to recoup. However, the part that SolarQuotes played was excellent.

HEC made a home visit which I requested he pointed out we needed to upgrade our switch board at a little extra cost, so I was very pleased they took the time to come to our place.
I asked export energy to come to our place to check it out, but they were very reluctant so gave a quote over the phone they wouldn't have none that the switchboard had to be upgraded .I like a one on one consultation but they wound not do that so I am getting HEG to do the work.

Received quotes quickly
Received quotes through very quickly. All suppliers I communicated with seemed reputable. Great communications from SolarQuotes. Only feedback I would have is that the quotes I did receive were jammed pack with data and it was rather overwhelming - but that's from the retailer not SolarQuotes.

Cuts through the noise
Couldn't be simpler. Great service. Cut through the noise. Without it, I think I'd still be paralysed by the sheer number or options and lack of confidence about their credentials. Instead, I have selected a supplier, decided on the system, and am I in the process of planning the installation.

Good responses. Top marks to Stinson Air and Solar SW
All three companies quoted relatively promptly. Stinson Air and Solar was the most responsive and actually came to site to inspect and discuss before tailoring their quotes for our site. Top marks to them.

Very helpful support with install problems
Solar quotes is a very useful resource not only for the non biased info they provide but also for the support they provide.
Anthony from solar quotes provided a lot of detailed advice and was super helpful sorting out a few issues we had with our solar/battery installer post install.
Highly recommend getting your quotes through them.

Didn't deliver
Yes it's busy pre-May 1 battery rebate transition, but was looking for quotes (not before May 1) in WA on three phase new solar + battery. Not a difficult site. Was first told it's a busy time so I would only get 2 quotes, then it was 1 by email (received, with ongoing hard sell). When I asked about other quotes I was referred to a generic website of installers.

Hi Andrew,
Sorry we couldn’t deliver the experience you were expecting. The WA battery rebate transition before May 1 has created an unusually high level of demand, but you are right we still should have communicated more clearly and managed your expectations better around quote availability.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to identify your enquiry from just the first name provided in the review. If you’re happy to, please contact me directly at ned@solarquotes.com.au and I’ll personally look into what happened and see if there’s anything more I can do to help.
Thanks,

Hi Marty,
Thanks for the feedback, and sorry the installer recommendation process fell short for you. During the recent surge in demand we’ve had cases where fewer installers than normal were available in some areas, but we understand that’s frustrating when you were expecting multiple contacts and didn’t hear back.
Always glad to hear the website and newsletter useful.
We weren’t able to locate your enquiry from the first name on the review alone, so if you’d like us to investigate further, please send me an email at ned@solarquotes.com.au and I’ll look into what happened. Would love to follow up with the 2 installers who did not contact you and ensure their customer service improves.
Thanks,
Ned.
One installer was recommended
One installer was recommended, although I expressed a reluctance to install a particular battery brand, the 2 quotes I was given were for this brand. I replied with a couple of simple questions, with no response, and when the stipulated end date for the quote was reached I was still without answers or further communication. So I have since accepted a quote from an installer I found for myself. Disappointed, but still a long time fan of Solar Quotes, the info you provide is fantastic. I also understand that at the moment the market is very busy with battery installations, so installers probably don't care if they miss a couple of jobs.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Sorry to hear that the installer didn’t respond to your questions or take your preferences into account regarding the battery brand. That’s certainly not the level of service we expect from the companies we recommend.
You’re right that the market is very busy at the moment, however, I'll pass this on and follow it up with the installer.
Glad to hear you found a solution that works for you, and we truly appreciate your continued support of Solar Quotes.
All the best with your installation!
