SolarQuotes Reviews

Three quotes provided in a timely manner, each company quoting were diligent in understanding our particular requirements - we then selected the best option from the tailored quotes provided

I was looking for battery for my home. When i came across solar quotes and with there help I was able to get a good battery that run smoothly

Solar quotes have very useful tools which helped me to choose solar system for my home. Thank you

Requested three quotes, and received these quickly. All three had excellent reputations, based on my research beyond solar quotes. Given how many places out there are cowboys and have some awful one star reviews, I was impressed to be given quotes from places with consistently high reviews.

The installers that contacted me were prompt, professional and provided in depth information about what they recommend and return on investment.

The worst part was turning two of them down.

Thank you solarquotes

Disappointed that some quotes require a deposit before doing an on site inspection . Find this inappropriate . Have been disappointed overall with process & have decided to put the move on hold . Seems to be populated by potential shonks .

Two of the three companies got in touch. We didn’t bother chasing the third recommendation as we were happy with one of the companies quotes and follow up. We went with Venergy for solar upgrade panels, 10kw inverter and 19.2kw battery. We are looking to purchase an EV and update our pool heating to a heat pump so hoping for a very low energy bill, if any, in the future

Good idea, probably needs a little more monitoring of the site. Can be clunky to use. As a concept brilliant and much needed. It has been very helpful, we now face the choice between two Recommended supplier/installers, hard to split them but we may not have got this far without SolarQuotes. Thanks Finn.

To begin with the good...its definitely not another click and dump site. They were fast to respond and the questionnaire was well thought out and easy to use. They also put in some thought to ensure the referred companies were relevant to my bespoke needs, letting me know early that it may take a little longer than usual, so comms from 'SQ' were great.

(See edit below) On the downside, it only provides a referral where the companies contact you, and some took way too long to make initial contact. I had already committed to a other which I found myself (not through SQ) before two responded. It also would have been great if there was system to help screen out quotes that were obviously too high, taking advantage of the surge in orders.

Bottom line, I think the companies they refer are well screened as quality providers suited to your needs but don't assume quality recommendations translate to quality service or best value solution for you. And don't be in a rush, you will still need to do your own research to compare.

EDIT 26/01/26: I must apologise to Solar Quotes, but am also happy to report, that I made a big mistake. The supplier I went with was indeed one of the ones referred to me by Solar Quotes. Review edited from 3 starts to 5 stars.

The two quotes provided similar advice and prices but Adelaide Solar Safe was much friendlier and made me feel like nothing was too much. With the other I got the impression they were annoyed with additional questions. Solar Safe also came out to our home and it was much better to speak in person and visit the site. They also updated the quote to reduce cost when there was a price change which seemed more honest and genuine in helping us to secure the best deal

This is a highly resourcefully place to gain knowledge of all things solar. What can often be daunting to get your head around was clearly explained and I always felt that I was getting an honest appraisal. I liked the clarity, wit and humour as well as the ease of navigation to various topics. Any tech nerd, such as myself, will be very satisfied at the level of detail presented. Highly recommended.

Efficient and found an extremely professional installer. Still waiting on the installation but all is good.

Asking for quotes from reputable installers was easy. Lots of information including reviews, news and videos to help customers to understand the products and costs involved. Regular follow-up from SolarQuotes to make sure everything is taken care of, very helpful.

Was quite confused but the companies who responded explained the situation easily

Did aa advertised-put me into contact with recommended local installers. The educational resources on the website are also excellent.

Need to know anything about Solar, this is the place that will answer all your questions. I now have the information i need to make the right decision on reducing power costs and charging my EV for free.

Quick response and 3 quotes received. Accepted a quote and install is in a few weeks time. Finn Peacock at Solar Quotes, thanks for your service and making this process so much easier to understand and choose.

Whilst I didn't proceed with the recommended installers, im glad i contacted them as they provided great advice and is a credit to the Solar Quotes service.

I was introduced to 2 companies by SolarQuotes for battery storage. Variety Solar turned up to be very efficient, helpful and understanding. My quotations were handled by Jordan. The 2nd. company don't appear to be as interested.

As a newbie to this process Finn asked questions and provided me with great information to help me make my decisions.

Very happy with the communication and customer service. Even though i was looking for quotes over the Xmas/New Year period, the team worked hard to get me a couple. I appreciate their efforts because obviously most suppliers would be on their hols too!
