I used sort legal for a remortgage, Keith Chow was the solicitor.
I took a while to respond to the original instruction and even though I took that time I was responded to in a timely manner every step of the way.
I had some questions towards the end of the process and left a VM for the office and Keith got back to me within an hour to answer my queries

I’ve recently gone through the experience of purchasing my first home, and when the time came, my mortgage advisor pointed me in the direction of the Sort Legal team who came highly recommended.

It’s an overwhelming process to say the least, and there was definitely a lot that I wasn’t aware of beforehand, but Holly took the time to talk me through every step and answer every question I had - of which there were many!

My process was far from straight forward, with an original purchase having to be halted due to a less than favourable survey report. However, I was able to find a second property within a couple of months and start the process again with Sort Legal. I requested to keep Holly as my Conveyancer again due to how helpful she was. I really appreciated the little things such as knowing the whole process had no completion and no fee which worried me when I originally had to pull out of the first purchase. And the second one I was able to take advantage of a second time search guarantee as I’d used their services within 6 months and these fees were waived.

The onboarding process was straightforward and easy to access. The portal provided on the system showing the breakdown of the steps was a great tool to see exactly how far along in the process I was. This was very beneficial to me to keep updated on the buying process without having to constantly contact the team.

Holly held my hand throughout the process and I am extremely grateful to her encouragement and support. The purchase was not straightforward with a few hiccups and moments of heightened anxiety on my behalf when the sale almost fell through. However every issue was dealt with prompt and smoothly by Holly making the whole legal side of the process incredibly smooth.

I’d also like to commend Holly for being personable and approachable. Having dealt with solicitors previously who lack a personality it was nice to have a rapport with Holly and to make me feel more at ease during those moments of uncertainty where her reassurance was very much welcomed.

A big thank you to Holly and the team for putting up with my endless emails and for getting me from offer acceptance to completion and having the keys in my hand in less than 6 weeks!

I recently completed my remortgage with Sort Legal. On the legal and technical side, the work was completed efficiently, and they successfully got the paperwork signed off and completed right on schedule.

The only area that could use some improvement is the day-to-day communication. There were times when getting updates required a bit of chasing on my part. However, once the final details were locked in, the team processed everything smoothly.

Overall, a legally sound and efficient service, but a little more proactive communication would make the experience perfect!

If you get assigned Faiza as your paralegal PLEASE for your own Sanity run a mile! She truly has no idea what she is doing, has no customer service skills and clearly no understanding of the re-mortgage process.

She didn't' ask for important documents until after our initial re-mortgage deadline had passed ( Luckily our mortgage advisor was on the ball and had sorted and extension) but she still then missed the extension deadline, told our mortgage advisor she wasn't going to get it done but would tell us she was doing everything she could to get it done on time (She was emailing our mortgage advisor asking for a new deal, which she did not communicate to us).

Every time we would get the requested documents she would then ask for more or different ones, she would say on the phone 'All' of the documents she needed they would be sent over and she would then request others, she truly had no clue what she was doing, at some stages she would ask our mortgage advisor what needed to be done, it was truly a joke.

Her lack of understanding, urgency and organisation cost us over £800 and I am shocked to read reviews that she is still working for the company and doing the same to others!

Please avoid this company at all costs, anyone else would be better!

Broker portal is really helpful to view updates and you can 'escalate' if issues need urgent attention

I would not recommend Sort Legal based on my experience.
Our remortgage was due to complete on 1st July, but the deadline was missed, resulting in additional mortgage payments and unnecessary stress.
Our assigned paralegal, Faiza, was dealing with our case. After the completion was missed, my partner contacted the lender directly to find out what was causing the delay. Within minutes, he was informed that the lender had emailed Faiza on 23rd June requesting information needed to progress the remortgage. That email was not responded to until after we chased the matter ourselves.
As clients, we should not have had to investigate what was holding up our own remortgage. That should have been managed by the legal team.
What has disappointed me even more is the lack of accountability. I have repeatedly asked Faiza for the direct contact details of her manager or someone senior so I could formally escalate my complaint. Those requests have been ignored, and instead I have been told someone would contact me, but that has not happened.
A remortgage is a time-sensitive legal transaction. Missing deadlines has real financial consequences, and in our case it has resulted in additional costs through no fault of our own.
I am extremely disappointed with the service we have received from Sort Legal and sincerely hope they review how cases are managed and how complaints are handled so that other clients do not experience the same situation.

Mahenoor Sarfraz ensured the entire process was as seamless as possible and his communication was timely, clear and professional throughout.

It is with a heavy heart i write this as i am the worlds most positive person and i try to give the benefit of the doubt where i can. However if i cold give no stars here i would. I have just completed my remortgage with Sort Legal and have to say that sadly it has been the most horrific and unprofessional experience of my entire adult life. The service was beyond incompetent. I had to have 3 settlement letters sent. The first letter was for a completely different individual entirely. This must be a serious breach of personal data protection and security. The second had completely the wrong redemption figure and the third attempt was also wrong. When we finally got the correct amount, there was an issue with the mortgage amount being insufficient to cover the revised mortgage (not a legal issue) and the balance i needed to pay was unclear and no bank details for settle the difference was included. The day before my mortgage needed to be renewed i finally got the paperwork in order but despite 4 requests for banking details and clear completion instructions this was not forthcoming. This was the most stressful, frustrating and difficult experience and this from a solicitor who we should be able to trust and have faith in was beyond shocking. Sadly this business was enforced upon us but if anyone else knowing engages with this organisation then do so at your own risk. I personally will do all i can to warn others of the perils of Sort Legal.

We have recently completed a remortgage service with sort legal who have been very user friendly system. We had Dione as our case handler who couldn't have made the process easier, she was responsive, professional and friendly.
Based on our experience with Dione, we would definitely use Sort Legal again.

I used Sort Legal for my remortgage and overall had a good experience. The process was handled efficiently, and everything was completed without any major issues. My conveyancer was knowledgeable and dealt with the legal aspects well. However, communication could have been a little more proactive, as I occasionally had to chase updates. I also felt the service was quite transactional and lacked the personal touch or warmth I was hoping for. That said, the remortgage was completed successfully, and I would be happy to use them again.

We had a great experience with Mahenoor for our remortgage. He helped break things down that we didn’t fully understand and ensured that everything was done in a timely manner. No delays in completion everything went smoothly with no stress! Highly recommend.
