Soundfly is a great way to accelerate your learning journey. They really have great comprehensive courses and an excellent One on One mentorship program where you get direct input from an experienced mentor who helps you accomplish your goals.

It's best to have one or two well defined goals vs trying to learn a whole bunch in a month. You get at least 4 weekly sessions - these fly by if you are not focused. Best to go deep than wide. My mentor was awesome Joseph - but I had too many goals I think. I learned alot, but will adjust my goals next time.

Why not 5 stars? I would suggest that the goal outlines and clear success metrics should be discussed even more before starting... my fault, but Soundfly could integrate this into the onboarding process. I'm probably a little unfair to them as every student is different. But 4 1 hour sessions can only do so much - better to get really focused.

Otherwise they are real, honest, professional and nice people... and a great slack community! Honestly try it - great content, community, value for money. It's better than just some monthly video course... its direct, live and specific to your needs, and your learning stage. You will love the progress you make with Soundfly.

Soundfly has been a lifesaver throughout the time of the pandemic. I can’t thank Jeremy Young enough for the courage and entrepreneurship to keep this amazing resource going for musicians out there. We really need the inspiration. Many of us are unemployed and pretty hopeless right now. Sometimes all it takes is reading one of Soundfly's amazing articles to get the motivation and the tools we need to keep making music. In my case, I even received a personal call from Jeremy orienting me on my search for advice on building a music career and producing my own work. He motivated me to continue on my path and connected me to an incredible mentor, Ian Prince, who gave me precious advice on producing my own songs. Jeremy has continued to send me emails asking about my progress and keeping me accountable about my goals, which I really appreciate. I will continue coming back to Soundfly any time I need resources or encouragement. I highly recommend it to all musicians and music fans out there!

The mentor was very receptive to my skill level, skill set, and goals, and provided invaluable advice that I will continue to use. Their online courses are quite informative as well.

I joined for 2 months specifically to do their Intro to Logic Pro X course and found it well worth my time and money. I'd been using Logic for 6 months prior but the course really leveled up my skills.

Martin the teacher did a great job with the material without it ever feeling spoon-fed - in fact just watching him move his way around Logic taught me a ton in and of itself.

Now, I've dropped my membership while I do a pair of courses elsewhere - but I'll be back when I'm done with those as I'm excited by their courses on production, use of chords and beat making.

Soundfly are really marvellous at teaching music theretical and practical stuff. It is good to watch some youtube videos to master music productions but it is much more prolific to be guided by professionals who know what to do.

I elevated my skills as a music producer and songwriter to a noticeable degree in only 4 weeks.
If you are looking for a mentor, or looking to develop your skills soundfly is the place!
I learned so much, and the process of creating a track was waaay demystified. And Not to mention- fun!

I discovered Soundfly while searching for music theory podcasts and subscribed to the service, which itself has been indispensable to me as I learn more about the many aspects of musicianship.

Beyond that, however, was a custom mentorship with Carter, who expertly designed a custom learning plan for me derived from my goals. Even as I wasn't certain what I wanted and moved the goalposts on him midgame, he adapted deftly and adjusted my learning plan.

I have a lot to absorb from the information-rich 4 weeks, but I am certain that I will be looking for another mentorship session with one of their amazing educators in the near future.

I started producing songs last year all by myself, but the quality of my productions was not really good, I didn’t know techniques to make it better and also was very insecure about my own songs and if I was capable to be a good musical producer. After joining this Soundfly mentorship I have learned many techniques and new things that I didn’t know before. During an entire month I focused in this project and I pushed myself to complete the tasks and apply every new knowledge in my track and I’m extremely happy and proud of how much I have evolved during this experience. Thanks to my mentor I have improved my skills so much and now I’m so much more confident about my own ability of creating music.

I had such a wonderful experience with Brandon. He's such a great listener and mentor especially to artists in early stage of their career. My experience was not all about technical understanding of music, but mostly the approach, the workflow and methodology. I learned with Brandon that having the right workflow that fits one's schedule and level is very important. We all wanted to learn everything and learn them fast, but Brandon taught me that we need to focus on one thing at a time to succeed in the long run. The best thing about Soundfly's approach to learning is "let the students open themselves about what they struggle and do not impose specific knowledge on them. I really like this because most music theory/technical knowledge we can find them online now. But what we are missing as self-taught students is the accountability, the feedback, and the approach to learning/career development. And I believe Soundfly's system was created to focus on that need.

I did the one on one mentorship with Brandon and learned so much. Brandon was fantastic and catered the curriculum around vocal production techniques and building a solid foundation with me. Would highly recommend him. And soundfly in general is a great alternative for traditional education at a fraction of the price with great mentors!

The mentorship program was incredibly helpful. I sorely needed it. I've learned a lot of music production from youtube, but at a certain point I could feel myself hitting a plateau and I just really needed to talk through some concepts and bounce ideas with a professional 1-on-1. And personalized feedback on songs just feels amazing. (Joseph is awesome.)

Soundfly has given me the tools to be more focused and streamlined when I mix. Sam is a very encouraging and friendly mentor with a good breadth of mixing knowledge. I will continue to use Soundfly.

The courses are very efficient, covering the topics very directly, without unnecessary exposition, and with lots of examples. They have lots of examples and the "in the studio" mini case studies are extremely useful since they detail practical experiences a professional producer would go through. I worked with one mentor briefly and they were extremely knowledgeable on a vast array of musical styles and theory topics. It provided a great opportunity to ask very specific questions that would be hard to find answers to elsewhere, and get not just an answer but a full discussion that goes as deep at you like.

The mentor program was very helpful in getting me comfortable with using musical software. The mentor was very patient and an excellent teacher. I plan to use this mentorship program soon again.

Needing some guidance, motivation, and direction for my scattered creative life, I reached out to Soundfly for a block of mentor sessions. I worked with Ian Temple over a period of a little over a month, thinking accountability was what I needed to meet my goals. What a got, though, was the inspiration to define my North Star, root out my "why," and in the processes rediscover my joy for creating and for being a human. Ian was great at listening and really understanding what I was getting at, and helping me figure out the actions I needed to take. I am so grateful for this process with Ian and can't wait to work together again!

SoundFly has changed the game when it comes to musical education online. Whether you need help understanding how to compose a song, or maybe your mixes just aren't doing it for you. From start to finish SoundFly is there.

With one-on-one's, I've learned more than I ever have on my own. This is well worth the money and time. After completing two courses, I'm already looking for a third.

The folks and the information from Soundfly courses are great! Got insightful feedback on material I sent them and the courses on harmony and composition continue to inspire. And I have a music degree and have been a musician for decades! Soundfly would be a good investment in your musical career.
