I needed guidance. I needed feedback. I needed accountability. So, I got a SoundFly coach: Joseph Capalbo. I did more production in those 4 weeks than I ever have. Definitely grew from point A to way beyond point B. Joseph is very personable, encouraging and held me accountable in the best way. Highly recommend him and any SoundFly mentor for anyone looking for music production growth!

I had a 4-week session with my mentor Carter to learn the basics of improvisation. Hands-down one of the BEST experiences I've had. Carter created a custom curriculum tailored to my interests and gave me assignments, feedback, and encouragement that were extremely helpful for developing my musicality. I would highly recommend anyone to join Soundfly and sign up for a mentor session because it will accelerate learning 10x compared to working through the modules on your own.

I just finished another mentoring session with Raven and she was awesome as usual. We did a six week program consisting lyric writing, editing, rewriting, melody creation and demo creation. We tackled four new songs and they are now in a great place for me to finish them up. She constantly challenges me to go outside of my comfort zone. I've learned a lot and am becoming a better songwriter because of her. I'll definitely be working with Raven again on some upcoming projects.

The courses are excellent, but I can't recommend enough the chance to work with an industry professional mentor on your chosen subject. It's light years beyond digging around on YouTube for free content that may or may not have been posted for views rather than actual usefulness. Very happy.

Soundfly is well-known for the one-on-one mentorships but I also want to shout out the subscription plan – access *all* courses at your convenience and on your own timeline. For those of us who are a little more casual about it, this is a great resource. You can still get feedback on your work by sharing in the Slack community – which is a supportive, encouraging, and friendly place. There are always conversations going and I frequently get new ideas and answers just from reading through the threads.

Working with these courses over the past year has brought my music making skills up quite a few levels and I'm immensely pleased with the progress I've made. These folks genuinely want to help you develop as a musician. Looking forward to learning more, new courses are always on the way!

Soundfly has good music courses and personable leadership/staff. My "simple" music is getting more complex through its influence. Some musicians there are now friends and collaborators.

Superb website! Blew me away, as an intermediate guitar player I took their Free course to start and dove in to the blues/improv and was blown away at the quality of the information well presented and explored. I have been recommending to other peers and beginners, the mixing tips in logic and KIMBRA course was more than my moneys worth and blew me away, took so much away from it. The SLACK chat was a great feature as well to have interaction with other producers artists and a great place to meet and discuss your projects. Having FAST interaction and direct from the creators was a great touch that not many places have. 10/10 guys. Will be on here lots.

The whole experience was very tailor-made. Both the head of the courses and the mentor took the time to discuss my expectations before I started. They were very open and flexible in terms of payment and timing of the course. The mentor was very supportive and kind. I could ask him any questions I wanted and every week he dedicated a whole hour to discuss my work. It really is worth its price.

Piano newbie here, but more importantly, a highly intuitive, highly kinesthetic learner who needs a very different type of lesson. I never learned to read music (even though I've sung in choirs forever), I tend to learn by ear, I am not about following a book, and I get bored really easily. My lessons fit all that perfectly. I got weekly sessions that began with the (in advance of the class) question of what I wanted to work on (as opposed to his dictating it). He'd come to the session with a flexible plan, get into it, and was always ready to shift when/if I had a question or need for something more or less. He'd make comments/suggestions on things that mattered to me, and when I said I wasn't concerned about something he'd move on OR explain a different perspective of why it mattered. The classes were rich. After the class he'd send me a summary/review of what was said (and it was well articulated, clear and short), any helpful videos, and he included exercises and variations on those exercises. I like that he was always concerned with keeping things interesting and fun for me. The following week he'd ask (in advance of the class) how it went, what worked, what didn't, and what I wanted from the next class. These are REALLY good lessons! I HIGHLY recommend this for people who need to learn differently.

Hi I had a really great experience with the one on one Soundfly monthly mentorship and would highly recommend it to anyone they wanted to shortcut their learning experiences to do with music production.

My mentor was Rafael. He is a great teacher that works in the field that I want to get into with plenty of experience. He pinpointed exactly what I had to work on and gave me awesome tips on how to achieve it.
I also came away after the sessions with a plan to of how to proceed.

I've had terrific experiences with Soundfly, both in their online courses as well as their mentorship program. The online courses are thorough and well-paced, and the mentor I've worked with has been remarkably engaged and helpful. I'd recommend Soundfly to anyone looking to learn more about music.

I was thrown into a classroom in the middle of the 2018-2019 school year without a curriculum. I was substitute teaching at Springfield Middle School in Battle Creek, MI. I taught a mix of 6th-8th graders all at once, which was quite a challenge! I was assigned "pop culture" as my course-topic. So, on the fly, I had to come up with 9 weeks worth of curriculum for pop culture throughout the decades. I found Soundfly's "The Somewhere Project" during my research and immediately gravitated towards the course. It's an incredible anthology of history and art about the making and significance of West Side Story. I was able to stream all the videos and work through all the steps with my students. I was so grateful for this course considering I had zero time to prepare anything!! I highly recommend this course for high school and middle school students and for educators to use in English, History, Language Arts, Music, Choir, and Art courses. My students found the film to be bizarre (considering it highlights gang violence with ballet, I don't really blame them...!) but I would say this was more a generational misunderstanding if anything. Before long, I had them dancing up and down the halls like The Sharks and The Jets. Thank you so much Soundfly for your incredible work, dedication, and commitment to the field of music.

Soundfly is without doubt one of the greatest online music school communities I have come across. The lessons are in depth, immersive, and professional, it's impossible not to learn anything or be insanely motivated! And the way they build the community and connect with their students shows real genuine care for what they are doing.

I have stayed with them for a long time and taken many courses, and one of the reasons is because I don't feel as if I am just another number to them. They check in often, chat on their community channel, and are always engaged in conversations about music with everyone.
They aim to deliver the highest quality content in their courses and it is clear how deeply they love they what they do.

I was teamed up with Mentor, Joseph after two on- line meetings with Carter as he thought he would be the best match for my musical aspirations. The Soundfly team prides itself on providing an individual program for each and every student and this was true from my experience. My Soundfly experience was great: great course concept (Songwriting for Producers), great mentor (Sirma), great course material/website, great management.

But why was it great? Because the self-paced study supported by a mentor worked very well for me. Sirma was very supportive and understanding but also very competent and challenging. I highly recommend her and Soundlfy. I definitely plan to do more courses with them.
