We have one disappointment which is the landscaping firm S & D landscapes of Wakefield, employed by the builder to lay the front garden .
Some of the gardeners working with this firm do a fine job but the ones who worked on our front area left it in a mess!
.Despite our best efforts it can’t be improved as they had not prepared the soil beneath the turf laid .
It’s just been thrown on top of rubble/ bricks and large clods of mud.

Let’s these two developers who are fine organisations down .

I would not recommend Space Homes based on my experience.

I recently discovered mould in my garage directly beneath the en suite shower. Space Homes have refused to investigate or repair it because they say my defect period ended one year after the property was built (mid-June), rather than one year after I moved in. This is despite me previously reporting defective shower and bath sealing, so this appears to be a direct consequence of an issue that was raised during the defect period.

Before the defect period expired, they arranged a final inspection of the property, yet they didn't inspect the garage, which is where this problem has now come to light.

I also raised concerns about paving flags that move with the slightest pressure and appear to have been laid to a poor standard. Not only was this refused for repair, but I also had one of their workers argue with me outside my home about the issue, which was completely unprofessional.
Overall, I have been left feeling that genuine concerns are dismissed once the defect period has ended, even where they appear to relate to issues reported beforehand. Customer service has been disappointing throughout, and based on my experience I would encourage anyone considering buying from Space Homes to think carefully before doing so.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 – Really happy with my new home, just let down by the turf

Overall, my experience with Space Homes has been really good. The buying process took a little longer than expected, but I actually found the house before it was officially signed off, so I knew exactly what I was getting — and I was excited from day one.

The internals of the house are faultless. The layout, finish, and overall build quality inside are genuinely impressive. Everything feels solid, modern, and well put together. I’ve had to log a few defects since moving in, but every single one was sorted quickly and without any hassle, which I really appreciated.

The only real disappointment has been the grass. For a home at this price point, and compared to the surrounding houses, the turf just doesn’t match the standard of the rest of the property. It feels like corners were cut when it was laid — patchy in places, thin in others, and not what you’d expect from a brand-new build. I understand wear and tear happens, but this was from day one, and it’s the only thing that doesn’t live up to the otherwise high standard.

Aside from the turf, I’m genuinely very happy with my home. The space, the finish, the comfort, and the overall quality inside are brilliant. If the grass had matched the rest of the build, it would have been a perfect experience

Space have been great and were really understanding of my circumstances. I found them very flexible, especially Millie, she was really accommodating with all my extra questions and requests.

Back in November we decided to uproot from our home in Manchester and move back to Yorkshire. Space Homes have made our experience seamless - a huge mention to Claire, she's been an integral part of our journey, keeping us informed every step of the way which when you're moving home is honestly all you want. We absolutely love our new house & can't wait to start making it into our home - thank you Claire & The Space Homes team

Space Homes have been fantastic throughout the buying and shared ownership process. Katherine and Malina have been incredibly responsive, answering all my queries promptly. Since moving in, any snags have been resolved quickly and efficiently, which has been brilliant.

We just completed on our house at Broad Oak Farm. Our application and experience were not 100% straightforward for personal reasons, and the team were so supportive through the whole process. Beth and Sammie were such a pleasure to work with during this process, and I really felt like they were rooting for us. Julie, who took us through our first viewing of multiple plots, and then did a house demo with us, was also lovely and patient as we asked to see multiple homes our first time on the development. Our initial experience with the team was definitely one of the reasons we wanted to get a home on this development. We're also in love with our new home and so exited to start our new home ownership adventure!

Beth from Space Homes really made the purchasing of my property a dream! Nothing was too much to ask and no question about the process was too silly. She put me incredibly at ease throughout and I would definitely recommend Space Homes.

I have been in my property for 5 weeks now and I absolutely love it! It is finally starting to feel like a home for myself and my little girl. The whole process with space homes was so easy and straight forward.

Beth Hardy was there throughout to answer all of my questions and providing an easy process and Katherine Howard finalised the completion and handed me my keys. I must say these ladies were thorough and there for me every step of the way, no questions went unanswered. You should both be proud of yourselves as you do a great job and provide your customers with care and support.

I am still awaiting for a few snags to be done, although I have had the major resolved and this was done very quickly and effectively through Yorkshire Housing/Strata.

I have recently purchased a plot at Broad Oak Farm and the process was so quick and easy! I have to say that Bethany, Sammy, Julie and Malina have been so so helpful. My emails and enquiries were answered prompt and always kept me updated with the process.

Julie did my completion and went through everything thoroughly. All the ladies I dealt with were extremely friendly and professional.

From enquiring 2 years ago when I saw houses being built exactly where I wanted to live, to receiving our keys last week, we’re so happy and grateful to be in our beautiful new home.
Bethany and Sammy have been angels, rapid responses to emails, so helpful and kind.
