Very friendly and helpful throughout the reservation process, we dealt with Millie throughout the reservation process and nothing was too much trouble for her. Beth helped with the sale process and was also helpful and kept us up to date throughout the sales process.

Although moving home is an incredibly stressful process, Sue @ Cromwell Gardens made the whole process so much easier. Friendly, helpful and always there to help, even on her days off.

Sue was very helpful explaining everything in fine detail couldn’t of done eney more to help me choose my beautiful new home thank you to all the salespeople at castle Locke and Yorkshire

We first contacted Space regarding Alders development but after communicating for a while realised we were talking about different properties, wasn't easy with the remote sales team. We went to meet Claire from initial meeting was super friendly and really helpful the Ellerwood development is also better located and more central. We were able to get this moving and having already gathered information for the other site so from initial visit to completion it was 6 weeks but our timescale. Efficient service and guidance all way through. Big thanks to Claire and the support team.

Amazing from start to finish ......

After aa previous purchase having to be halted I went to see sue at space homes and i'm so glad I did.
What a credit to the company, she has helped me from start to finish and explained everything in depth. She has helped me purchase a house I was worried was out of my reach as i'm self employed everything is 10x more difficult that a standard house purchase. Sue has been nothing but patient, helpful, informative and kind and I cant thank her enough. Nothing has been too much of an ask and communication has always been fabulous. I would highly recommend space homes and the Cromwell gardens development. Huge thank you to sue who has been so helpful and kept me updated every step of the way.

Sue Guppy at Space Homes was fantastic to deal with from the start. Sue has been really helpful throughout the purchase of the property, explaining the process and generally just being a really plain talking, no nonsense sales person who is really likeable and feels like I’ve made a friend although I’m sure she’ll be glad to see the back of me 🤣.

Bethany Doyle our sales officer was great, she always replied to emails and didn't need chasing. She was very professional.

We have had a fantastic experience with the Cromwell Gardens development so far. We originally booked an appointment with Sue to view a two bed property, she was super informative and absolutely lovely. So lovely in fact that we have ended up reserving the three bed she suggested we view! We can’t wait to move in and Sue has made the experience of buying our first home a wonderful one. We can’t thank/ recommend Sue enough!

Our experience with Space Homes has been absolutely brilliant!

Excellent communication from the minute we enquired about our recently purchased property. Starting with Leanne & Millie, latterly Beth.

A solicitor was recommended to us who is familiar with shared ownership properties. The process has taken 5 weeks from viewing the property to completion.

Beth has reassured us every step of the way, always responsive to any questions we have raised and always a speedy response from all members of the team.

We are currently in the process of moving in and so far highly delighted with our choice of home.

Based on our experience we would definitely recommend Space Homes.

The quality of the homes is okay. There were a lot of snags which I would have struggled to get corrected had it not been for having a relative good at DIY!
The shared ownership scheme is fantastic for those who cannot immediately afford to buy outright but want to own their own home.

However, purchasing a property from Space Homes has turned into a council estate nightmare.
Old furniture and scrap metal cars dumped in front gardens, weeds left to grow out of control, back gardens used as junkyards. Select residents of the rental properties do not look after them properly and it lets the whole site down. This is antisocial behaviour. It isn’t fair on those who have bought their properties and take good care and pride in their presentation. I fear I will not be able to sell my property when the time comes (probably sooner than I would have liked due to this). Who wants to buy a house on a council estate?
Over the 2 years since the building work was completed, no one has been to sweep to the roads or pull any weeds, despite us all paying a monthly fee for site maintenance. The roads are covered in dirt and debris, and the weeds are so bad they are pulling up the paving bricks.
I have complained about this on numerous occasions to Space Homes and Yorkshire Housing, sending photos as evidence, and nothing has been done. It could devalue the owned/part-owned properties if the site is continued to be neglected and no action is taken.

If I had my time again, I wouldn’t buy from Space Homes. I would advise anyone to purchase from a full ownership developer. Whilst all larger developers have to have some social housing, they usually have the owned/part-owned properties in the main of the site, and the social housing is separate i.e. at the back of the site/on the outskirts. Space Homes have chosen a layout whereby social housing is dotted all around the site, so some are immediately as you turn into the street, and due to lack of care from the owners they are a real eyesore. Space Homes claim that those in the rentals are checked to make sure the properties are being looked after. This clearly does not happen.

I bought a shared ownership property on Highfield Manor Huddersfield. There have been some snagging issues, thats to be expected but Harron have been less than helpful. The communication and support I’ve had from Ellie (Suter) in the Customer Aftercare Team has been first class. Her patience and persistence has resolved all my issues. Thank you Ellie, you’re a credit to Space Homes. Good luck with your next chapter.

We’ve been to see Sue Lowe at Castle Locke Knaresborough a couple of times now to view different properties and she is great! Always working with a smile on her face and always has the answers to your questions.

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful, first of all when thinking of buying, shared they make you use ALL of you money that you have to purchase the biggest share you can afford… which guess what? Leaves you with nothinggggg to make yourself a home after all of this, no money for starting out if you didn't already have furniture ect and carpets.
Secondly ive been in over a year and a half, i have waited over 8 months for ky toilets flooring to he sealed
But now its passed a year they dont care. Ive also had an EMERGENCY which should have been cocered but guess what, they've also fobed me off with that also new leading to actual home damage and black mold, leaking into the kitchen from upstairs and guess who's now going to have to lay for that. I am fuming and sick of this disgraceful of a so called organisation/ company. They do nothing for anyone, only to grab your money at the beginning. They also refuse to look into outdoor issues even though its damaging the outer building.
Ill ne glad when i can eventually move from this hell hole avoid at all costs!

If you can get a mortgage for a outright buy, please do it! This has been hell

Excellent team and especially Sue Lowe has been very helpful when we reserved our new home at their West Park development.

While the sales team were spot on, the aftercare is a real problem , so please be careful .
a) Customer service is appalling .
b) Turnaround time to fix a problem after it is reported is 28 days .. and the contractors do a bodge job , so please report back if your are not happy with the job.
c) Make sure all issues are fixed with in the warranty period, else they will wash off their hands, I am still chasing them to fix 2 major issues since we have moved in to the property .
Please guys make sure every defect is reported on an email with pictures and chase them until it is sorted.
