I highly recommend working with Jennifer at Sri Lanka Escapes to assist with your holiday planning and travel needs. From the very beginning, Jennifer went above and beyond. I was able to share exactly what kind of trip I wanted, a busy itinerary where we could see and fit in as much as possible and she delivered perfectly.

Everything was organised seamlessly, right down to the flights, which gave me complete peace of mind. Having Perashan as our guide throughout the entire journey was invaluable. As a single mum travelling overseas for the first time with my three children, I felt safe, secure, and well looked after every step of the way.

My children absolutely loved the whole experience. One of our most memorable days was being pampered with massages (especially for myself and my daughter), followed by a beautiful lunch where we learned how to prepare a traditional Sri Lankan meal. The food was outstanding – incredibly fresh and full of flavour.

The elephant bath organised for my son’s birthday is something we will cherish for a lifetime, followed by the most epic elephant safari. Visiting temples, waterfalls, and iconic sights meant every day was jam-packed, creating the perfect balance of an active, cultural, and relaxing holiday.

My children, aged 10–14, and I enjoyed every moment thoroughly. This experience will be incredibly hard to beat, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sri Lanka Escapes to anyone considering a trip to Sri Lanka.

After researching many travel companies that offered trips to Sri Lanka, I found Jennifer at Sri Lanka Escapes. She provided me exceptional service from the first phone call to after the trip. Nothing was too much trouble.

The trip she arranged was an 11 day safari and cultural tour that was tailored to avoid the monsoonal weather.

We had an itinerary for each day, but it was also very flexible - if we wanted to stay a little longer in one place or not see something, our guide accommodated our preferences.

We had our own guide/driver Prashan and a minivan. Prashan was very patient and affable and a wonderful driver - the traffic in Sri Lanka is unbelievable!!. He went out of his way each day to find items of local food or culture for us to taste or experience.

The wildlife we saw at the 2 safari parks was incredible and we were lucky enough to see 2 leopards on day 2 of the tour, as well as other exotic animals and birds. And of course wild elephants!

Buddhist culture, Ayurvedic massages, spice and herb gardens, silk, fresh seafood on the beach, mountains and tea plantations, traditional dancing, sapphires, city tours and animals. Beautiful accommodation away from the town centres. Food spicy or mild and western if you preferred. Lots of vegetarian options. And Lion Brand beer!

11 days was enough to give us a taste of what Sri Lanka has to offer, albeit we did a lot of driving during that time. Maybe 14 days would have been better??

One of the other highlights was the generosity and kindness of the Sri Lankan people.

2 weeks after the trip, Sri Lanka was devastated by a cyclone. I do hope the country can recover quickly.

If you want an experience that gives you a taste of the exotic, then consider Sri Lanka and of course this will help their economy.

We had Amila as our driver and I have to say he was the most patient, most caring and most respectful driver ever.
He took us to so many beautiful places and met all our requisites even when we were a bit difficult.
Amila is a true gentleman and we could not have asked for a better driver.
Very professional and we will definitely recommended him.

Our last trip was in January 2015. It was fabulous meeting with family members, touring Trinco, Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy etc.

The concept, Serendipity is often associated with scientific and technological breakthroughs, where accidental discoveries led to new insights or inventions. Many significant discoveries in history were serendipitous, including penicillin, Post-it notes, Popsicles, and the microwave oven, arising from unforeseen circumstances that were then recognized and capitalized upon.

Add to that:
Serendip. The names Serendip, Seren-dip, Sarandib or Sarandīp are Persian and Arab or Hindustani names for Sri Lanka suggested to have been derived from the words Sinhala-dvipa (Sinhala Isle, dvipa or dipa means Island), or Suvarna-dvipa meaning "golden-isle"

Had not considered Sri Lanka until I sent a chance email. After giving me a lot of information on this country, I was hooked and wanted to go. Jennifer made herself available any time I had a query and was quick with answers and added more information she thought relevant.
We were then sent a detailed itinerary, some hints to help us travel and some guides on tipping and other matters we had not thought of.
We are now coming to the end of our amazing and fabulous trip. Everything was so well prepared and catered for from our pick up at the airport, our tours and accommodation. Ruwan, our driver and guide was just the best. He introduced us to many things we had not come across before. Could not have asked for better.
We left our hearts in Ella however everything we did in Sri Lanka was more than we could ask for.

🙏 Ayubowan 🙏 We had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰...from the buddas, monks, elephants 🐘, monkeys 🐒, lots of Currys 🍛....to the magnificent views, the countryside was spectacular and the people.... they are soo generous, gentle and beautiful. Thank you Jennifer from Sri Lanka Escapes who organized our private tour holiday. She went over and above to make our holiday the BEST EVER. And to TJ our guide/driver...number 1 in our books. Definitely put this country on your bucket list. The Maldives 🇲🇻 = the photos don't do it justice... a must to experience.

Booking our trip to Sri Lanka was straight forward with our special requests and needs included in the itinerary.Jennifer was most helpful and gave good advice.We were able to incorporate attending the Test Cricket as well as satisfy my desire to see some birdlife in Sri Lanka.
Our driver and guide Ruwan in Sri Lanka was informative, kind and attentive. Our accommodation was excellent.The safari to Yala National Park was disappointing as the tracks are rough, There are too many vehicles trying to get to the point where animals can be viewed .Bundala National Park offered a much better experience.
We were able to meet many local people and experience and appreciate the Buddhist beliefs.

Sri Lanka Escapes is the perfect company for a stress free tour with our own private tour guide/driver. The tour takes in so much of what this island paradise offers from wildlife, local culture, mountains and beaches, it has it all. A big thank you to Jennifer for organising the trip and to TJ our wonderful guide and driver whose local knowledge made the trip so memorable.
