Great range/ mix of original artwork and limited edition prints

I made contact with Henni to discuss some pieces of art I was interested in.
She was helpful and friendly as well as being well informed and professional.
I made a purchase and through the process Henni kept me informed right up to the delivery day. Would recommend!

I found that the gallery still had a John Waterhouse print that I thought was sold out. Simon's communications throughout were excellent and he offered and managed to get the artist to write a personal dedication on the back. Delivery was prompt and the item exceptionally well packed.

Tonia and the team are great and it felt like every visit was personal and all needs catered for when shopping. Great selection of art and just a fun group of people to have a chat with. No pressure.

Whenever I have visited Startle, Holt or Thornham, the welcome from Henni or Tonia has been very friendly and knowledgeable.

I called Startle on Saturday morning to enquire about the availability of an artwork. They checked it was available in their sister gallery, confirmed it was available & I paid for it in full. 3 days later and they have reneged on the order & are in the process of refunding the money. They claim that someone walked into their other gallery and bought it just before my phone call, despite having checked it was available with the gallery for me.

This seems unlikely to me & I feel let down, gazumped to a better offer. The limited edition is now sold out & I lost 3 days of opportunity to source it elsewhere before each of the pieces went. I feel badly let down & would never do business with them again. Sadly, not to be trusted.

The staff at the gallery are very pleasant and helpful. They know what we like.

Tonia found the perfect piece of art for my new home - she’s even amazing at matching me to the right artwork. Not only did the piece by Lhouette have real meaning, but I was then lucky enough to meet the artist himself at the Holt gallery too. The piece was then delivered by Simon (the gallery owner) who gave loads of advice on hanging systems and layout. Simply a great gallery and amazing people.
