I have step for all of my children
I have step for all of my children. It makes it so easy when they r with there friends or are out and need money. 10-4-22 my son passed away in a car accident. I couldn’t bare to turn his phone off or close his step account. My youngest son also has a step account. After my son passed away I got my youngest daughter’s phones. I gave my oldest son phone number to my youngest son. And my youngest son old number to one of my daughters. There accounts have Been such a mess casue I wasn’t able to deal with losing my sons account. So today 2-23-25 I finally decided to get it all taken care so my youngest daughter could get added to my account. I thought it would take forever to get fixed but it didn’t. It was so simple. The customer service representative was so understanding and respectful when I explained what was going on. They got it fixed and everything taken care of. My oldest son still had money on his account which I didn’t have access to they gave me access so I could transfer his money before they closed his account. I appreciate the kindness and care the representative showed to me while taking care of this.

Speedy help and very nice 😊
This has been a great way to give our teen money when she goes out with others. She can use Apple Pay. This way she won’t lose cash. Customer service was super helpful with a transaction that needed to be cancelled. Assisted quickly and SUPER friendly.

Absolutely horrendous customer service
Absolutely horrendous customer service. Actually there is no customer service. There is no phone number and they do not call even after numerous calls. I would never ever put my money again with a company who has no desire to solve problems.

What’s not to like?!
Step is an amazing credit building/ banking app. You have a spending & savings account with industry leading interest on your money. The more you use the step card, the more points you get for bonuses and cash back. Transferring money to & from another bank is lightning fast. And it builds your credit, while giving you credit boosting tips! I only had to contact support once when I had a question and they were extremely helpful. I would recommend step to anyone!

Worst customer service I've encountered…
Worst customer service I've encountered in a long time. After the app and contacting through email as they requested, they continue to provide a generic repeated response and no reason or background information regarding their issue. I read up on their accounts for children and teens, but after my experience with their app and customer service, or lack thereof, I feared this company was a scam.

Step is a great family banking app
