Hey Bob,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry for the disappointment - we understand how frustrating this must have been.
When we spoke at the point of order, we did flag potential access issues due to the steep gradient. Deliveries are made on large vehicles (up to 18-ton) and require a flat, stable surface to safely offload 1-ton pallets - otherwise it becomes a real health and safety risk for the driver on the day.
Your material comes direct from our quarry in Wales and is moved to a local third-party depot ahead of delivery. Before releasing the order, we checked with multiple couriers, and all advised the delivery wasn’t safe due to the slope and access. Rather than risk a failed delivery, we held the order to avoid further inconvenience.
Hiab/crane vehicles are specialist services not included in standard third-party pallet networks and would require separate arrangements at additional cost - something we also explored at the time.
We always do everything we can to make deliveries work, but with multiple couriers advising against it, we have to follow their guidance to avoid further issues and costs.
I understand you’ve now been fully refunded.

The product was good but the delivery was advised from 9.30 then updated to after 1.30 but actually arrived finally at 3pm. Better advice system required or talk with driver?

Hello Iain, many thanks for your comments. We are sorry that the delivery arrival time was much late than the original time quoted. The system we use provides live updates, so the original time is the planned time but any situation such as a traffic incident or delays at earlier drops will cause adjustments to the ETAs. We would however expect the delay time to be shorter than that you experienced and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Many thanks

All good, but …..
All good. However, the two hour window provided first thing in the morning was then pushed back by two hours which buggered up the plan for the day. Same thing happened with my previous order. May be better to give a 4 hour window and not have to change it.
