We had a thoroughly positive experience from beginning to end with Sundowner. We wanted our holiday to Costa Rica to be all things to all people in our family - to include adventure, gorgeous wildlife, wonderful beaches, comfortable eco-friendly accommodation AND come in on budget! Lucy and the team at Sundowner could not have done better and we were thrilled with our holiday from beginning to end. Our hire car was even delivered to the restaurant where we were having lunch! Thank you to everyone at Sundowner for the holiday of a lifetime for us!

Sundowner Holidays constructed the perfect family trip for the 6 members of our family spanning 3 generations. The trip was perfect in every detail and cleverly combined adventure, challenge, education and relaxation which provided something for everyone every day.
Our family holiday to South Africa was unforgettable; offering safe, comfortable accommodation, punctual transfers, knowledgeable and friendly local guides and a huge range of experiences from quad bikes and boat trips to sunrise safaris and nighttime star gazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sundowner Holidays and thank them for a truly wonderful trip.

I booked to go to Borneo with this company and can say I had an excellent service from start to finish. The holiday was amazing from start to finish i would recommend this travel company everything was perfect.

James organised our holiday to Costa Rica. Actually he organised our failed (due to lockdown) trip to Vietnam and the ease that was organised then cancelled was amazing.

However, this was the best family holiday we have ever had. Tailored to what we wanted in beautiful and perfect accommodation that suited us. Every day was an adventure and honestly trying to find a highlight is impossible. From watching giant green turtles laying their eggs then walking back into the sea, to being woken up by howler monkeys to zip lining through the rainforest and kayaking with crocodiles. From learning to surf to lying beside the pool. And the thunderstorms!! Oh and morning yoga to the sounds of the rainforest. The holiday was amazing. However, James spent the time listening to what we wanted and used his experience there to give us the best possible holiday for both us and our children. We would never have been able to organise this without him. It really was his experience that helped us. We really feel we got a feel for Costa Rica. If you are sitting on the fence just do it!! If you aren’t and you have booked already - I’m so jealous.

Jo and Lucy were absolutely amazing at putting together our holiday to Borneo, originally a great holiday to Sri Lanka was organised which looked stunning , but at very short notice we were advised that we could not travel and Lucy and Jo worked very quickly to re arrange our holiday with a Borneo trip , it was so fantastic they organised a great mixture or being with wildlife and then some relaxing time , my 17/20 children absolutely loved it too, they use great people to make sure everything runs so smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for better guides I highly recommended Sundowner as a company they listen to what you would like and then put together an incredible package. Thank You so much will definitely be using them again.

Well we are home and a little sad our wonderful holiday is over. Our thanks go out to Miss Jo Shuttleworth & her knowledgeable team.
Firstly over the last few years and because of Covid, SUNDOWNER HOLIDAYS have been so helpful and nothing was too much trouble in making this holiday a reality. ( Team Thanks as well) you have put together a fabulous personal itinerary for my family, and I would rate this as one of our all time favourites to Malasysia.
It was everything the itinerary promised and much more. We have never met so many friendly people throughout our vacation.
The places we stayed at were superb, and the food choices offered catered for all diets.
The guides were excellent & knowledgeable, and yes we did see the Big 5, plus the Sun Bear.
That’s it, 5 ⭐️ for this Borneo Adventure.
The additional Mt Kinabalu Mountain climb, booked through Amazing Borneo Adventures was tough, but if you want a challenge, and something a little different from Jungle Safaris and Beach then the 2 day, 1 night package, is recommended. The weather was kind and we did summit.

Sundowner helped plan our honeymoon to costa rica. We had a very friendly woman called Lucy who organised it all. She lsitened to everything we wanted to experience and our capabilities and then designed a fantastic itineray. We had an absoluetly amazing time!

Its obviously been very trying times over the past two years but Jo, Hannah and Lucy have worked tirelessly to create for us our dream holiday, changing from Sri Lanka to Borneo at the last minute. Once we actually got away everything ran like clockwork and all of the team on location were just as helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to use Sundowners again.

Lucy was so helpful and attentive whilst planning our honeymoon to Costa Rica. Everything which she organised for us was just perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sundowner.

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Lucy organised us the most amazing trip, we can’t fault anything. All the hotels were incredible as were the activities that were booked for us. All our transport and transfer around the country turned up exactly as planned and were all great. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Sundowner again.

Just returned from a wonderful 2-week holiday in Sri Lanka. James at Sundowner put together an excellent itinerary, taking in the must-see sights and some great hotels. Everything ran like clockwork and our driver/guide, Dan, was knowledgable, helpful and a great bloke! We would love to go back there again (after we've ticked off a few more bucket-list locations!) and would highly recommend Sundowner Holidays.

What can I say about Sundowner holidays apart from AMAZING. This was our 4 th holiday we have booked with
Sundowner and each one has been exceptional.

We travelled to Kenya Feb 2022 and stayed at Kichwa Tempo in the Masai Mara, our guide was Anne who made each day an adventure. She asked us each day what we wanted to see and her determination and enthusiasm was infectious towards discovering the animals we specified. All the staff were fantastic and we were truly made to feel special and cared for from the moment we arrived. The second part of our holiday was at Dinai beach staying at Waterlovers. All I can say is WOW, the hotel was beautiful, the staff were attentive and nothing was to much trouble. The beach was naturally beautiful, clean, safe and amazing snorkelling on the reef.
Once again James and your team you have pulled it out of the bag, always sensitive to our needs. We always set James and the team a challenge to beat the last holiday and they certainly came through this time . Can’t wait for next adventure. Thank you all once again.

Our holiday to Kenya was amazing , we all voted it our best ever trip
The Safari at Kichwa Tempo in the Masai Mara was everything we could have wished for, our guide Anne was excellent and great fun and all the staff looked after us so well.
Our beach stay at Waterlovers at Dinai beach was also wonderful.
The beach was the best we’ve ever been on , clean , safe , clear water and a reef to snorkel on .
The hotel itself was small and intimate and beautifully decorated with wood carvings and furniture etc , we loved it !
Again, the staff were really lovely and couldn’t have been more charming and helpful throughout our stay .
Thank you to James and his team at Sundowner for arranging this wonderful trip and to all the hard working staff at the two resorts who made sure we had such a great time .

We booked our holiday to Costa Rica this Feb with sundowner holidays,Lucy was brilliant she organised everything for us,the itinerary,and the accommodation was excellent,it was just the right mix of tours and beach/pool time for my daughter.we would definitely recommend/use sundowner again when we next go on holiday

Just returned from 16 days Sri Lanka organised by Jo at sundowners. I have normally travelled independently so his was a new experience for me but Jo listened to our requirements and put together an amazing itinerary. I had concerns about having a driver for 2 weeks but Jo reassured me that it was the way to go we had was worth his weight in gold for his insights into local culture and the environment that he had to offer. The trip was everything we hoped for an much more besides. Can't recommend this company highly enough. Thank you for an amazing time :)

We received great service from James. The trip was tailored perfectly, it was exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed our trip immensely and we are looking forward to returning to Costa Rica. We have just come back from a customised trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives organised by Jo at sundowner and I must say it’s probably the best holiday we have ever been on. Our stay at 5 different locations was fantastic in high quality boutique hotels and a week at Oblu at helengeli in the Maldives was idyllic. We stayed at gal oya national park, Jim’s farm villas, and Ashburnham tea estate. We loved all three with food and hospitality exceptional.

We knew Sri Lanka had such variety to offer. The question was, what would be sensible to pack into our 17 days? The incredible Lucy worked with us to deliver an itinerary and set of hotels that made this the holiday of a lifetime. Her attention to detail and ability to understand what we were looking for in our holiday gave us wow factor experiences wherever we were. She enabled us to enjoy the huge variety that Sri Lanka has to offer, from history, culture, mountains, game reserves and beaches. Sri Lanka is a stunning country, and if you are looking for something truly memorable and prefer to stay in small boutique hotels rather than major chains, you couldn’t find anyone better than Lucy and Sundowner to organise your holiday for you.

Our experience with Sundowner was good. We had lots of hiccups during the booking process which James made easier for us in terms of finding hotels with the available dates etc.
In the end we didn't get to stay in the resort that we wanted in the Maldives and had to go for a 4* hotel which was a bit of a shame.
Flights were changed a few times during booking which meant we had to book another night - again made easier by James, but meant more money was spent that initially thought - we could have used this money for a better resort in the Maldives (or a direct flight home)!
The places that we stayed in Sri Lanka were lovely - however none of them knew it was our honeymoon and were surprised when we told them. It would have been nice to have the the whole 'honeymoon experience' without having to ask for it!
On our return home, there was a big mix up with the airport hotel that we were told to book into in Male - the hotel was clearly being used as a quarantine hotel and was not a nice experience for the last night of our honeymoon.
Our flight was then delayed meaning we had to miss our connecting flight which meant a 12 hour lay over in Colombo airport - again, a direct flight from Male to Heathrow could have been booked to save the airport hotel disaster and the delays at the airport - a negative way to end an all round good honeymoon.

Really great personal advice and service to tailor our holiday - cant wait to go now!
