Llevo dos semana esperando que revisen mi solicitud y nada que me responden, de verdad no entiendo porque se toman tanto tiempo en analizar la solicitud y en responder.

This is a superb app for finding native speakers of the languages you're studying. There are so many people to text and call. It has useful features which help. My favourite feature is the ability to correct each other's written messages, showing exactly which bits have been corrected. I am learning so much in a language I have not been studying for long. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and I've made many interesting friends.

My account was never approved. I reached out to their support team, but they weren’t helpful at all. They came up with the most ridiculous excuses. If they don’t like you, your country or your race, they will ban you. My friend’s account was banned too.

Shady and disrespectful company.

Wer hier ernsthaft Austausch haben möchte ist an der falschen Adresse. Ich habe mich angemeldet, es kamen gleich super viele Anfragen, die nicht ernst gemeint waren. Es ging ganz schnell darum zu WhatsApp oder Telegram zu wechseln. Zum Glück habe ich meine Nummer nicht rausgegeben aber einer hat schon ziemlich professionell mit gefakten Videos und geklauten Bildern gearbeitet. Es ist so schade, denn eigentlich ist es eine richtig gute Idee. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass es eher als Dating App bzw. zum Ergaunern von Daten genutzt wird.

Tandem is a great platform to connect with people. Talking in other languages. But when it comes down to you actually wanting to use the platform for more then a few text a day, you need to pay. Almost all features are premium. This is a bummer.

depuis 1 ans sur tandem , bannie du jour au lendemain sans aucune raison , alors oui les gens vous bloque pour un rien , tu demandes un message vocaux on te bloque , tu dit bonjour on te bloque. des gens étrange si vous n'êtes pas dans leur sens on vous bloque.... la semaine dernière j'ai voulu me connecter et je vois un bon gros jolie message le support a exclu ton compte j'ai jamais envoyer aucune photo , rien du tout , il suffi que des gens vous signale au piff et le staff vous bloque votre compte je suis surtout furieuse pour les 3 amie que j'avais réussie a me faire depuis 1 ans sans leur demander de discuter autre part ce que j'aurais du faire..... j'ai envoyer un emails au service client et la seule réponse que j'ai eu droit c'est votre compte et bloquer merci de lire le règlement super comme réponse je ne vous conseille pas de prendre un abonnement premium car si vous payer et on vous ban vous avez perdu votre argent , en breff ils ne m'on jamais dit pourquoi j'ai était ban eux même ne le savent pas et je suis sur a 100% ses pour 2 a 3 vieux signalement d'autre membre....c'est le risque a prendre avec ce genre d'app qui sont diriger par des incompétent et bien évidement ses pas drôle si ils bloque pas le téléphone pour pas que vous crée de second compte une honte...

Habe einen sehr netten Kontakt zu einer Französin in Paris, ansonsten nur zweifelhafte Angebote. Komischerweise fast nur von Männern. Ich frage mich, was da schief läuft .

As many others have already mentioned, there are a lot of fakes and scammers here. Several times, I encountered women from various countries who eventually asked me for money.

Ghosting seems to be the norm here. I have never seen it so prevalent on any other app. Even if you have an engaging conversation, often for weeks, the likelihood is quite high that the person, especially female members, suddenly stops responding out of nowhere.

Building real communication sometimes feels almost impossible. With many female members, it feels like you’re having a monologue. It becomes especially absurd when these people state in their profile that they want more than small talk or that messages like "Hi, how are you?" will be ignored, yet they themselves contribute nothing to a deeper conversation. I also find this complaint quite ridiculous. Sure, small talk shouldn’t be the norm, but you have to start the conversation somehow, and for the beginning, it’s not wrong. Often, such users have very empty profiles, so even if you want to avoid small talk, there's no background information to write something original.

Many seem to confuse this with a dating app. I’ve even seen some female members listing in the field "My perfect tandem partner should be..." qualities like "tall" or "handsome."

Other issues that I’ve noticed or that bother me: Users often give false information about their language proficiency. Someone might claim to be fluent or even native in English but then make mistakes in the simplest sentences. If you start correcting all the mistakes in messages, many users quickly become discouraged, even those who are in general good and it just it's minor mistakes you correct. The result is, once again, classic ghosting.

The support here is terrible and seems very arbitrary.

Overall, tandem is a good app for finding casual partners to speak a language. The weak point are the many fake profiles that are there for scams.

İf they have some terms for users and ban for it, they should at least tell the victim.

Sono grata dell'esistenza di quest'app perché ho conosciuto delle persone che ad oggi sono molto importanti nella mia vita. Ovviamente ci sono utenti fastidiosi, ma alla maggior parte interessa semplicemente fare amicizia imparando le lingue
