I visited Iona at TESTme a few months ago after finally accepting that I would have to go back to basics and see if the food I was eating was a contributing factor to my health issues. My suspicions were confirmed on testing as showed intolerances to various food groups. Iona provided me with informative literature to help me get started. Within days of changing my diet, the bloating (which I had long accepted as being normal) had disappeared and now months later, energy levels have improved greatly, I'm sleeping better and residual swelling in my joints from Inflammatory arthritis has subsided. I would highly recommend Iona.

Both my husband and myself have been having food related health issues for the past number of years (probably a lot longer than we realised)
We went to visit Iona at TESTme Health and have never looked back!
Both of us came away with a huge amount of knowledgeable advice about our individual situations and were very well advised on how to approach our eating habits going forward.
The advice we received has been absolutely priceless, both of us, now 9 months on feel so so much better, in our physical bodies, our gut health and energy levels, along with one thing in particular.. My husband had very bad asthma since he was a young child and needed inhalers constantly, he now barely even uses one, this is life changing for him and i no longer hear him wheezing, coughing etc.
He also had huge issues with stomach cramps to the extreme that he had to take a lot of time off work during these spells. This has all stopped, thanks to Iona’s testing and advice.
i had a constant cough, sore joints and a constant sore tummy, this has now all cleared up, i had a feeling what i was eating had a lot to do with it but no idea where to start on getting it sorted out. Again, thanks to Iona’s advice, those issues have cleared up and i now know what to do to keep myself in better health.
Having being tested it can seem like a huge mountain to climb when you start but we were both so determined to get better that we really knuckled down and changed our whole eating habits really, which in turn changed our lifestyles for the better!
There are a lot of different things between the two of us that we should avoid but Iona really explained everything so well, it all made absolute sense so we just got on with it.
We have just re~visited Iona for a little update to see if anything has changed, some things have which is absolutely amazing! Some things will maybe never change but that is ok, we are happy with how we feel now in comparison to before and we know we are far healthier for it.
We cannot recommend Iona enough to anyone who is thinking of going to get checked. HONESTLY those little niggly things your Dr isn’t getting to the bottom of, could be food related, go book a test now!

I went on a return trip to TESTme in Sept24 with my husband as he was having health problems. Hoping Iona can sort him out as she did me!
I went to Iona in June 2023 (over a year ago) suffering from migraines every fortnight which lasted 2-3 days. Having had every avenue explored by the doctor, including a brain scan, being told it is probably my age, etc., a friend then recommended Iona at TESTme Health. As anyone who suffers from migraines knows, one will try anything to stop them. Following the consultation and allergy test with Iona, I immediately went home and changed my diet - no dairy, no eggs and no gluten. To say it has been life-changing is an understatement. I've not had a migraine since - have had the odd headache when I didn't read the labels and consumed something which contained gluten. I am fine with eggs now, having introduced them into my diet after 6mths. I've had dairy these past 4mths but only if I am out in a restaurant. Definitely not gluten as that is the root cause of my migraines from the one or two pitfalls I've had since June 2023. Well worth the trip and money which is why I have my husband attending this month so sort his health problems out too.

I learned so much from Iona and went away feeling so positive and ready to heal my gut and enjoy life. I wish I'd done it sooner.

An extremely worthwhile experience. I received the test by post which was simple to use. The detailed report of my results was very insightful, allowing me to adapt my diet and account for intolerances that I was unaware of. I would strongly recommend Iona and this service to anyone.

I highly recommend going to Iona to help optimise and take back control of your health. Iona is very knowledgeable and passionate about her subject and her enthusiasm to improve self is contagious. After a thorough discussion I decided to have the test and was stunned at the number of foods that my body had at this point in time, intolerant issues with. Iona was so easy to chat to and armed me with loads of information to take home to help navigate the changes in my diet. A few months on and I feel I have more energy, less bloated and generally feeling I am having more good days with my background history of fibromyalgia. It’s not always easy to make such big changes in diet but with Iona only an email away any questions are easily answered.
Highly recommended and so glad I did .

Having competed in the World Hyrox championships in Nice on the weekend and coming home thinking I could have done better and have done better, the late start and the heat in the place didn’t help!. I took time out to read your book. I have been reading bits now and again. This time I read it from start to finish, no interruptions.
I was absolutely shocked with some of the content. As an animal lover I couldn’t watch the second video in the dairy section. I’d given up Pork as once saw a video showing cruelty on a Red tractor labelled farm. Red tractor is supposed to promote good animal husbandry and it was my go-to label. Once I saw the video, no more Pork, I think I could easily be a vegetarian
Having changed from a garage latte to a Black coffee to get away from the milk was a step forward but now knowing it takes away 3 glasses of water, it's got to go. Also, the plastic lid and steam!!. It’s a mine field out there but armed with the knowledge from your test and handbook, I can make changes for the better
I did have a couple of questions but as you said in the book, google will answer them and it did.

Iona was great. I went in requesting a test but she started from the beginning and went through my history to gain a better understanding of my health.
Once she had a good understanding, we went through the different options and came to the conclusion that the test wasn’t for me at this time and gave me recommendations/alternatives and lots of information to take away with me. She then the supplied me with extra info the day after to help me with my next steps.
The test I had originally booked was £95.00 and I appreciate Iona not just carrying out the test and actually spending time to get to know more about me.
I’m very happy with the service I received from Iona and would recommend to anybody looking for some answers about their gut health.

Made a great job of teaching me the principles on micro biome health in an easy to understand fashion. Clean and welcoming office and very easy to speak to staff!

Iona is very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. She explains everything really clearly, and I found the TESTme process very enlightening.

From the moment we walked in we were comfortable and were able to share information about our lifestyle, history and issues we were having. No stone was left unturned!
We left armed with lots of information and a new appreciation for how to look after ourselves, excited to see how the changes we make pan out.

Me and my mam went along together and both found the whole experience worth while! Iona has a huge amount of knowledge and explains things in a way you can totally relate too.
Was surprised by my results but explains why I had so much bloating etc. So making changes to my diet and feeling the effects in a good way.

Struggling for months to get back to health and fitness after a bout of COVID I made an appointment to see Iona. It was very interesting to find out why my immune system was in such a poor state. so with a change in diet and a tweak to my supplement intake I noticed a massive difference in two weeks, within three weeks I was back to my usual self after months of frustration. All I can say is that I can highly recommend the allergy test.

So we went to go see what we were intolerant/allergic too, it was very interesting to see what we were intolerant to and how it was done. The lady that tested me was really nice and was so good at explaining everything even showing diagrams/pictures to help me understand as a 12 year old. Definitely worth spending you money really nice staff and amazing explanations.
