I'm so sorry to hear the shelf life of your selection was shorter than you expected, and that this has caused disappointment. We always aim to provide a minimum of 3 days for soft and blue cheeses, and 5 days for harder styles such as cheddar.

All of our cheeses are freshly cut to order, and our cheeseboxes are designed to be enjoyed within a few days of arrival, when the cheese is at its absolute best. Rather than vacuum-sealing, we use a special wax paper that’s designed to keep cheese fresh for a few days while allowing it to breathe – which is especially important for the kinds of cheeses we include.

Because our pieces are small (around 120g), they naturally have a shorter shelf life once cut from the whole wheel – but this also means they taste fresher and better when they arrive with you. We've chosen this approach deliberately, as we want the cheese to reach you in the best possible condition.

That being said, we completely understand that it was not in line with your expectations for the delivery, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment it's caused you. We appreciate that lots of our customers order their boxes ahead of time for special occasions, and we are very sorry if this has caused a disruption to your plans.

It's something we are actively working on, as we really value the feedback of our lovely customers - so thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us. Xmas cheese debacle

Tried to set up a subscription last year but couldn't choose vegetarian cheese only so gave up. Got an email regarding Xmas packs so thought I would try again. Talk about nightmare before Christmas! Five different packs on offer so began the laborious task of looking at each pack then trying to find each cheese in the pack to look at vegetarian or not. After not getting much information that way I clicked on the FAQ which didn't help then on the get in touch button which took me to a random page. I have given up again!

I’m very sorry to hear how frustrating your experience was when trying to check which cheeses were vegetarian, and that the “get in touch” link didn’t take you to the right place. That’s absolutely not the experience we want for our customers, especially at this time of year.

You’re absolutely right that we previously offered the option to exclude non-vegetarian cheeses from subscriptions. Much as we’d love to still offer that level of customisation, we’re no longer able to provide bespoke selections. Our monthly boxes are built from a carefully curated, seasonal range - and with only a limited number of artisan vegetarian cheeses available, we found we couldn’t consistently guarantee enough variety or stock to keep a veggie-only box running reliably. Making the tough decision to simplify our range helps us focus on the quality of the cheeses we do offer, but we completely understand that this doesn’t meet the needs of all our veggie customers, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Thank you as well for highlighting the difficulty in finding dietary information on our website. Your feedback is spot on, and our team will be looking into how we can make this much clearer going forward.

First subscription delivery - wonderful!

First delivery of a subscription and it was wonderful! Amazing cheeses, a great range of types and a decent amount to work through together in a few sittings.
I added some crackers and chutney/jams to the first order and they were perfect.
Love the pairings suggestions too so we've definitely upped our cheese game.
Easy to set up and I think a very reasonable price for what seems like a very well thought out service.
Looking forward to the next delivery!
