The Elite Prep UK Reviews

Dan Leonte is a great tutor. He helped me achieve good grades in inferential statistics, a subject which i’ve always struggled with. Specifically we worked on Anova Models and other Parametric and Non Parametric tests. Thank you Dan for taking the time to help me with every detail. 100% recommended

Having pursued my son to consider tutoring for additional support for vector calculus Maths degree year 2 resit, I came across Elite Prep UK. (EP)
Contacted EP via website with my situation: specific subject matter, a reluctant son with knocked confidence and looming exam! Dan called me same morning and explained the straightforward process and put my mind at rest with regard to my son’s concerns.
The next day my son received a CV of the suggested tutor and within a couple of days the tutor contacted my son to discuss son’s needs, format and arrange first online session.
Managed to fit in 4 sessions pre resit. Son was very much at ease with process, progress and outcome of sessions. He was also able to send questions about things needed assistance with to tutor in advance of session. He also explained to me that tutor would ask him how he’d attempt past paper questions, advise him of where he was going wrong as well as addressing unknown issues of interpreting some of his past paper exam questions.
After just four sessions son had more confidence in his ability to tackle exam.
We will not hesitate to contact EP again should their support be required and would definitely recommend them. And just to add, the price/hr was very fair and worth every penny. Payment also very easy.

I was really struggling in my University level maths/physics unit due to a severe lack of understanding from my lectures. I was 3 weeks away from my exam when I started my sessions with these guys and I saw an immediate improvement and was able to pass my exam and graduate! Excellent service with a very focused and personalised approach, especially with such a specialised subject. I couldn't recommend theae guys more

I was tutored by Owen Futter for my Numerical Methods/Stochastic Processes in Finance course and had a fantastic experience. Not only was he able to teach complex material in a very simple and easy-to-understand way, his organisation was also excellent. He created clear plans of what material would be covered in each lesson (which he specifically tailored for the lead up to the exam), he created relevant exercises for me to complete in-between lessons, and he created shared files (outside of lesson time) which I found very helpful. Would highly recommend his services.

We contacted Elite prep as a last resort to help my son for Biology IB. He had been tutored during the year and even attended revision courses but these hadn't really made much impact on his grades. Awaiting his final results still but his confidence and knowledge in the subject went up massively when Cerys tutored him. Massive thanks to Elite prep in helping us find the best tutor for him again and for Cerys for doing her magic with him.

Dan is a truly exceptional tutor. Dan helped to bridge the vast gap between my A-level knowledge/understanding of maths and masters level financial mathematics. Dan tutored me on discrete time and continuous time mathematics: stochastics, black-scholes, heston model, brownian motion, martingales, Ito's lemma, risk-neutral pricing, binomial trees, matrix algebra, etc. Having a non-quantitative background, Dan took me back to the very basics and helped reinforce fundamental concepts such as chain rule, quotient rule, basic intergration, etc which were considered prerequisite knowledge for my course. Incredibly helpful, friendly, engaging, non-judgemental, always very quick to respond to questions, no concept was too complicated or too simple for him. Amazing tutor, could not reccomend him more.

Yuan is a great tutor, very knowledgeable and great at explaining difficult advanced-level statistics concepts.

Dan is a very thoughtful and respectful tutor who puts a lot of time and thought into the sessions.
Constantly checking up on my academic progress.
Always being very patient and encouraging me to speak up during the session. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a tutor!
The topics that we have covered: year 3 Statistics, Data science and Mathematical Finance.

Andrada was great at helping my daughter through her GCSE maths. She was patient and great with explaining the syllabus. My daughter’s confidence increased a lot so thank you for your guidance and tuition.

Had an amazing tutor, Marc, that helped me study for my Real analysis exam in my second year of uni. He really knew what he was talking about and explained everything to me, making me think for myself whenever possible. Great price would recommend.

I am a 2nd Year University student doing an MEng in Bioengineering and was really struggling with my Statistics and Programming modules until I started lessons with Dan. He is always professional and very well-prepared during lessons, but also kind and patient, going above and beyond to help with any questions I had outside sessions. Dan is great at breaking down difficult concepts and finding new ways to approach things I couldn’t understand, sending me extra materials that explained topics much better than my university did. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with University-Level Mathematics or Python as I don’t believe I could have achieved what I did in these modules without his help!

I worked with Andrew for my first year Analysis exam. I was honestly struggling with the concepts so we went through the fundamentals and work our way through the course. We didn't have much time at all for my exam at all however I was able to pass the exam.

Elite prep provided a wide range of excellent, high level tutors covering all my second year maths modules including Complex Analysis, Analysis in Many Variables, Mathematical Physics, Markov Chains, Special Relativity, Algebra, Topology and Elementary Number Theory.

I worked with Dan Leonte, Peiran Wu, Francesco Pedulla and Mike and I would recommend them all highly. They are all working in academia at high level universities and are extremely knowledgeable about their area of maths.

Wonderful, fun, and an enjoyable experience - great with all forms of probability theory + measure theory at degree level. Works well with notes and questions.

My tutor is Yuan Li, he’s a math wizard. Really helped me a lot regarding stochastic calculus.

I am an A-Level Maths and Further Maths student who at first was struggling to extend my knowledge of the course to the level required for Oxbridge entrance exams/interviews, and here Dan was invaluable in getting me succeed in answering these more challenging questions.

After the application process, we have had regular sessions to refine my skills for the A-Level exams, and Dan is very dedicated, always preparing lots of materials before the session to make the session more productive, and mailing me interesting info on certain topics after as well. Dan's ability to break down tricky concepts so that I can begin to understand the ideas much more clearly, which has been key to much of my exam success this year.

On top of this, Dan is very punctual and friendly, which makes our sessions enjoyable and eye-opening. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone studying A-Level (Further)Maths or is looking to apply to Oxbridge, and if won't think twice about who to contact if I need any help with my university studies in Maths.

Ioana has been a great help in Maths, particularly in complex numbers and trigonometry, where I really struggled. She was patient and very keen to improve my grades. Highly recommend!

Perfect Experience! My mentor really helps me a lot with measure theory.

I am a second year student and I was struggling a lot with statistics in my courses, so I decided to contact The Elite Prep. The process was very smooth, and I was truly surprised to see myself understand very complicated concepts, which before I couldn't understand at all. I recommend The Elite Prep to anyone preparing for exams or just trying to better understand their university courses.

Dan really helped me out in some of my university courses that I was struggling to understand. I fully recommend him.
