We have used First Mile for years and they have taken all of the hassle out of our refuse collection. Their system is very straightforward: you buy bags from them and the cost of the bags includes collection. The driver who does the collections is 10 out 10. He is very friendly and if we've forgotten to put our bags out he gives us a knock to ask if we have anything to go. They also deal with our confidential waste and recently we needed to dispose of old computers and they dealt with everything for us. Highly recommended.

They are brilliant, I love the many different recycling options, and for buisnesses, they make is really easy. The drivers are really friendly and helpful and it is a cost effective way of dealing with your rubbish, I cannot recommend the enough! And the staff working on the phones are great too - nothing is too much trouble.

We’ve been using First Mile for our recycling and waste collection at our Stratford (London) office, and the service has been excellent. We’ve never had any issues — collections are reliable and well managed. They’ve also been more cost-effective than the council service, which made switching an easy decision.

In addition, we use their confidential document destruction service, which has been just as dependable. Everything is handled professionally, and we always receive the necessary confirmation paperwork required by our regulators. Overall, a very reliable, efficient, and good-value service that we’re happy to recommend.

Efficient, worthy service, rapid response, never leave a mess. If your business is not already recylcing using First Mile, you should certaily give them a try.

We find First Mile offer greater cost effectiveness than comparable companies for waste disposal. Ordering is easy and deliveries of waste bags is quick. Using them has become a regular part of our operation. Customer service is great over the phone if you have an issue.

After an abymsal experience with the customer service team via email, I was overjoyed with the service I received from Andrei! He was friendly, super helpful and explained everything very clearly to me. He was also able to resolve two issues that I had been dealing with for a week, in about 30minutes! We recently appointed First Mile after relocating in October. Compared to the previous recycling company we had who shall remain nameless these guys are a breath of fresh air! Efficient, reliable & professional.

This company used to be really efficiently run and we had no problems. I don't know if they have expanded or sold out but we now have missed collections, no follow up from customer services, no response about ongoing issues, collecting out of specified times so we get residents complaining and an online reporting system where you can't see your history of issues. Its so boring and disappointing having to chase them all the time for non-collections - and then they still charge us!!

There is ongoing noise disturbance caused by First Mile waste collections at unsociable hours from Waypoint Way, London, E16 2TP. Most recently, a collection took place at 3am today (Sunday), causing significant disruption to residents.

I have raised this issue multiple times via your X (Twitter) page, yet no action has been taken and the problem continues.

Myself and other residents are now forced to escalate this by submitting an official complaint to Newham Council, as it appears First Mile is not taking residents’ concerns seriously. A previous contractor, Veolia, behaved in a similar manner and ultimately lost their contract.

I have attempted to upload photos of First Mile vehicles and evidence of the multiple contacts I have already made, but your website repeatedly shows an error and does not allow uploads.

This issue remains unresolved and continues to cause unnecessary disruption to local residents.

Julian was incredibly helpful in arranging a New Year’s Day collection at such late notice. Truly outstanding service!
