Excellent service at The Ivy in Exeter,Sam our waiter was so lovely.

Polite , attentive staff , good depth of menu options and cooked well .
Only slight criticism was that we had put down on the booking that it was our 20th wedding anniversary, but this fell on deaf ears.
I liked the fact that most people had made an effort to dress up .
Not sure how it would be on a weekend- full of instagramming?
We’ll try it on a weekend and leave a second review as a comparison 😉

Visited Ivy Chelsea on Saturday 23 May for breakfast before going to the Chelsea Flower Show. The Ivy breakfast was really delicious with great choices. My daughters and I were served by Sint (Sinchana) who was excellent - the whole experience was very special, fab atmosphere! Thank you , highly recommended.

Had a Lovely Burnch at the Ivy in Guildford with my friends.. We ordered the eggs benedict and absolutley loved it!! The food was really fresh and well prepared. I big thanks to Anthony who made our experience even better with his exceptional customer service. We had an amaizing time and we will be back soon

Beautiful restaurant, great food, great service and the toilets are amazing! The only thing that let's this place down is the mandatory 12.5% service charge! This was my first visit, it was a special occasion. The Ivy, as beautiful as it is, is a very expensive restaurant and I am not wealthy by any means. Whilst I would have left a tip I would never have left 12.5% and I prefer it to be my choice. This will be the reason I don't go back sadly.

We had four nights in York this week, twice we went to The Ivy at York. This was our first visit to any of the Ivy restaurants but it won’t be the last. The food was beyond delicious! The staff are so attentive they make you feel very special indeed. Honestly, worth every penny. Can’t wait to return.

Absolutely appalling experience. Lady at reception yesterday was condescending and downright unprofessional.We were seated in a corner next to the till and dead dusty plants with flies next to us.We asked to be moved 10min into out visit and 2 hours later when our visit ended we were still at the same table but we did receive stank eye looks from some of the staff lm guessing because we expressed how unhappy we were and l didnt make it a secret that l took pics of one of the big flies next to us as well as the dirty and dead trees.Food was ok but the place has tables crammed everywhere and looses its ambience so it was noisy with slow service .An overall terrible experience for what was supposed to be a special night. Its definitely not worth the money you spend We got better food and better service at Clock ear pub .Props however go to the lady that was assisting our table, Caitlin was nice and professional throughout and you could see she was uncomfortable because her superiors were clearly not planning on giving us a proper table

Thank you for the excellent service you gave to myself and my friends, I was really happy with after the service we received from you both and you ensured the we were comfortable.

Robbie was friendly and attentive and welcomed us to the Ivy and gave us a really good service.
Harriet was equally friendly and helpful and ensured that we were looked after and comfortable throughout our visit.

Harriet & Robbie were amazing tonight, there is nowhere in Chester that has better service!

The Ivy Chester , amazing service from Harriet and Robbie , highly recommend this place, These guys were courteous, and funny and made our stay really enjoyable. Well done to the Ivy for employing such engaging staff

We went to the Ivy in Exeter yesterday, the service was first class, the place was packed with a good ambience and the staff were excellent our waitress Libby was lovely and very helpful especially around my sister’s intolerance to chilli. I would recommend this Ivy to anyone who would like a great meal with lovely surroundings.

I tried booking but you have to decide on the type of menu at time of booking. Its for a suprise birthday meal, but I am meant to know what dishes everyone wants. Never met this issue before anywhere. Perhaps there is a touch screen inside to order your food before sitting down.

I went to the Ivy temple row Birmingham, they served me chicken that was pink in the middle and when I questioned this they explained that it was cooked through it was the process it had been through. The level of service for what I paid for two people was poor compared to other people especially as I tried to communicate with the meet and greet to no avail, one waiter even smiled at my guest while serving, he’s very lucky it was the first time I’d been out in years.

Steak was stunning this afternoon.

visited your venue recently and had an upsetting experience that I feel needs to be addressed.

I have mobility difficulties and was struggling at the time. I asked staff for help charging my phone, as I was in a vulnerable position. Rather than feeling supported or reassured, I was repeatedly told I could not use any available sockets, without any attempt to offer an alternative or show understanding of my situation.

This left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable, particularly given my circumstances. I also felt the situation escalated unnecessarily, as I was later told I would not be served.

I fully understand that there may be policies around safety or equipment use. However, I would have expected a more empathetic and accommodating response, especially when a customer is clearly struggling.

I would appreciate a clear explanation of your policies in this situation, and whether staff are trained to support customers with additional needs. I would also like to understand why no reasonable alternative or support was offered.

Firstly the was a surprise birthday present for my partner who had no idea I had planned something special

Upon arrival everyone was nice and pleasant and welcoming as we sat down we were given a very bland and basic menu which was not the one I had see online

When I asked if there was a different menu I was told that no they had changed the menu

We order a starter which was a very dry bruschetta with no dressing or oil and was just bread and tomato’s
The chicken strips was very dry and over cooked and burnt in stale oil

The main course we ordered was lasagne which both portions were burnt and very over cooked in a mircowave as the centre was cold
When the bought out a second plate of this I could not get the fork into the lasagne and sent this back too
I was offered a pasta with spinach and ricotta and I said no multiple times and still it was produced at our table which looked like a bowl of tomato purée

This has totally left a sour taste on a special day

Also i suggest that the female toilets are checked as my partner has said that the venue of such high standards and name the toilet were totally out of toilet paper not very clean. I have seen public toilets cleaner

As I work in the entertainment sector I have been to many high end restaurants with excellent standards this i would defo avoid

It was "restaurant week" in Liverpool. There was a deal of 3 course meal for £35. Including a glass of sparkling wine.
There were five of us celebrating a friends 70th birthday. There was a supplement of £4.95 as one of my friends had Sirloin steak. I also had a bottle of Ivy lager, and another friend had a diet coke.

When the bill came in it was split five ways. It worked out at £57 each.
Apparently there was a £30 service charge.
The food itself was ok, apart from my starter which was crab with avocado salad. It wasn't FRESH crab it was TINNED crab and rather bland.
I wouldn't eat there again. I think £285 for five people was very overpriced.
I didn't complain at the time as i didn't want to spoil the my friends special birthday.

I have just returned from Palma Mallorca, where i ate in some lovely restaurants. Fresh seafood, lamb, fish... all FRESH. There was three of us, and each time the bill came in at between 90 - 110 Euros, and that included wine.
And NO service charge.

The Ivy Chelsea Gardens.
Beautiful soroundings, food did not disappoint. Service was non existent. We got seated, 20 Minutes passed, we had to ask to order drinks. Ordered food, took another took 20 mins to arrive, one of the starters came without the side bread, this came 15 mins later after starter was eaten.
Had to chase up Mains, this took 40
Mins to arrive.

Dreadful service, restaurant was not even busy & appeared to have plenty of staff.

Service has definitely gone down hill sadly

Our table was booked for 5p.m. on Saturday 18th April at the Ivy Leeds but we didn't get to the table until 17.16p.m. as the restaurant was 'running late'. Nobody took our coats when we entered. One coat was taken at the table and we were told someone would come back for the second, but they didn't. We were seated at the table for ten minutes before anyone gave us any attention. It took a further 8 minutes to get a drink - so over half an hour after our booking we managed to relax with a drink. Part of our measure of a good restaurant is the welcome and how soon you are offered a drink. The salmon fishcake course was very dry. It seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. The dish wasn't helped by the poached egg being more hard boiled than poached. We won't be returning any time soon even though we are gold tier members.
