Excellent Service
The Modern Back is a great company with very helpful staff who are extremely knowledgeable about their products. The modern back helped me select the best chairs for my budget and needs, gave me a great deal, and helped me every step of the of the way.
These chairs were a Christmas gift for my staff. The original delivery date was set for after Christmas due to busy shipping during the holidays. The Modern Back was able to get the chairs delivered within a few days instead of a few weeks which was well before Christmas.
I highly recommend this company.

What a Great Experience!
After spending time in Japan and experiencing a massage chair in my hotel, I knew my family and I would benefit from one. Finding out we had The Modern Back in our city, and we could test out different models and brands made it easy.

Top notch customer service! Tom provided such an experienced touch to the process. Incredibly knowledgeable and was there every step of the way. This is my second massage chair (JP Medics Kumo was first) I included it as part of my home sale so I was on the hunt for another chair. I went with the Osaki Manhattan this time and it sure didn't disappoint. Tom gave me fabulous information about the chair which was critical in my decision. Picking out a massage chair without sitting in it is quite the ominous task but Tom proved to be the missing link. He provided a no pressure support and confidence that was absolutely unmatched. The only place to go to buy a Massage Chair.
So let me start. If you are reading this, it's because you are seriously considering dropping a few dollars on yourself and your well being. I'm 70 years young. I'm a WTC 9-11 Victim and Volunteer with a few medical issues. I had over 85,000 people follow my reviews on Trip Advisor, Open Table, RESY etc. I did construction my whole life, so I hurt.
My friend who knew me said, "Why don't you treat yourself to a massage chair? So I did my research as I always do. In NYC where I live and adjacent New Jersey, there was not one place that had a complete top shelf selection to try. I wanted the very best for me. Long story short, Tom had them all to try in one place!
I'm retired now, so after many conversations with Tom, I went to Sarasota, Florida with my friend to meet Tom and to try them all out. He said, "You aren't the first to come down". I see why. After I met Tom and explained what I wanted, he pointed me in a few directions. Tom took us through many of the options and features. Too many to list. He, of course, sized us both up and had us try as many chairs as many times as we wanted. My friend is 100lbs. We both agreed on the Osaki OS Pro Duo Max over the AI Vivo. My friend said, "Her massage chair does not come close to these!" After about 2 months of every day use, certain areas of my body became pain free. I was also more flexible and friends thought I looked better. Maybe because they wanted to use it?
I found, after two months of constant use, this massage chair really did it all. I can best say, it's infinitely adjustable for most people. It even asks you your shoe size so the rollers are hitting your feet exactly where you need it and it's not just one with roller. You truly get massaged in 4D as if 5-6 masseuses are working on your body all-at-once! Hand massage, in my opinion doesn't come close! It can't. I said to Tom, "Between these two machines, does this one do everything that the other did and way more? He said, "Yes". That was it.
So with Tom's help, he gave a great price, warranty, cover which may never be used, cleaner and white glove set up as well. This all completed about two weeks later.
I did delay total judgement on my machine as this is a pricey investment and I wanted you to know exactly what I found out. Awesome! My Duo-Max is Awesome! I don't think a masseuse can come close. You have to try these new 4D machines to fully understand how close this is to a human-massage if not way better. What it does is unimaginable till you experience it. Go!
As I live in another State, there was no tax. It nearly paid for the trip/ vacation. I am still learning everything that this machine can do. I am completely happy with this purchase and Tom and his wife made the purchase a pleasure.
My suggestion: Don't delay and don't settle, get honest advice, great price and try all the brands you can. I picked Osaki, the largest sellers in America-for good reason. Before dropping big bucks, give Tom a call. Do one stop shopping. He will do you right. Enjoy your almost "free" vacation when you go down. Say, "Mitch sent you". Let me know how you did. You will have never felt better and better.

We rented a home up north for the summer and it had a massage chair in the home. We love the massage chair so much that when we got back to Sarasota, we started looking for a nice massage chair. Looked at some big box stores in the area, but wasn’t happy with delivery or really couldn’t try and demo the massage chairs. Even looked at a couple real small places that had one or two chairs and then we decided to go to Modern Back. Their showroom was awesome and Tom let us demo all the chairs we wanted to demo After five or six chairs we found the one we liked. They are white glove Delivery was awesome. If you’re even thinking about getting a massage chair, you need to go to Modern Back. they are A Plus 🤙

Called Modern Back for a part for an Ultra Comfort recliner I bought two years ago from their now closed Boynton Beach store. Even though they no longer carry the brand, they took care of contacting the manufacturer and arranged for the part to be sent to me. Part was received in a few days at no charge (still under warranty) and all is well. Excellent service from the company, and most specially by Ann-Marie Walls who assisted me with the request. Would buy from them again and recommend that others do so.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there are great people and great companies out there still. One company being The Modern Back. Tom Walls is a great person to do business with. I have been looking at this Daiwa Supreme Hybrid Message Chair for almost 3 years but could not pull the trigger to buy it until about 2 weeks ago. I should have done this 3 years ago and at the time wished I had a person like Tom to talk with. Not only was he and his company polite and professional; they were honest and followed through the sale to make sure that the delivery, the price, and the chair was tomy satisfaction. The delivery and white glove was awesome. The chair is incredible!!! We show it off to our friends, neighbors, physical therapists, and family. All love the different features, levels, and comfort. You literally feel rejuvenated after each message. I fall asleep in the chair during the massage at times. If you need any recommendations, I will personally send you to Tom Walls at The Modern Back.

We have purchased two chairs from Tom Walls at Modern Back and could not be more pleased with the service and products. My husband practically lived in his Osaki Titan chair the last year and a half. It has been life changing. He just upgraded to the Luraco i9 Max and it truly is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of massage chairs and is already helping improve his health conditions. Tom made the entire process so easy and was incredibly helpful in guiding us to the right chair for his needs and arranging white glove installation. I could not recommend Modern Back more highly.

We had a private appointment and were able to take our time. The best way to compare massage chairs is to try them one after another. You can do that at The Modern Back. One chair might be great for one person, but not work for another. Tom took the time to let us try all the chairs that interested us. The one we decided on, I tried out twice. There was no pressure. They have competitive pricing too....including with the membership big box stores.
