Being a first time buyer, the whole process of buying a house and getting a mortgage was completely alien to me. I was given full support from the off, starting from realistic affordability advice when searching for a property to when I found a home and the next steps. They found me the best mortgage deal, gave me all the information I needed to make the decisions which were best for me. Additionally, they completed the mortgage application for me, keeping me fully informed along the way and have went further following the approval to support with the finer details such as life insurance advice and getting me the best deals out there. Couldn’t have done it without James!

After making several attempts to contact our existing mortgage adviser to discuss our remortgage and getting zero response, I was advised to contact Mortgage Genie through a recommendation of a friend. Our initial enquiry was answered almost immediately, with the necessary fact find document provided so we could get the ball rolling ASAP. Every step of the process was clearing communicated to me by 2 members of the team. It felt reassuring knowing 2 people were available to reach out to and contact should I have any questions (which I did on multiple occasions). The customer service was top class, the provider recommended offered a great rate and even though the industry is very busy at the moment, we managed to remortgage ahead of the end of our previous agreement which meant no inflated payments on a higher rate (something I experienced with our previous mortgage adviser, no affiliation to Mortgage Genie). The solicitors the company choose to work with, Optima, also deserve praise for dealing with the request in a timely manner.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for assistance in any matters relating to their mortgage.

We've used Andrew for a remortgage and a house move now. Both times he has been excellent.

Our most recent move was a complex transaction, and Andrew went above and beyond to find us a mortgage that would work for us.

I had a couple of estate agents insist that I speak to their in house mortgage advisors (which I did reluctantly) and neither of them were able to find a suitable mortgage. On top of this they would have charged us a substantial fee for their advice. Unlike them, Andrew went above and beyond, and took the time to explain the situation to various lenders, and found us a lender willing to lend to us.

His communication throughout was great, and he was able to answer any questions very quickly
