Avoid
Came to view my car after bidding for it on “Motorway” and my experience as a seller was very concerning. The behaviour of the dealer was unprofessional, pressurising, and they made claims about non existent damage that were not raised by the reputable buyer I later sold the car to (a local trader). I chose not to proceed with the sale with this business due to their conduct.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO MOTOWORKS REPLY:
Thank you for your response, but I need to correct several points.
Your inspection did not “discover” anything that was not already disclosed. The issues you refer to were not present on the vehicle, and the video provided to Motorway shows only glare from the sun, reflections of the person taking the video and my other car. I also have photographs taken before and after your visit showing none of the defects described.
The car was later sold to Arnold Clark, who carried out extensive checks and raised no concerns about paintwork, dents, or previous repairs. The HPI is also clear.
My review was never about the sale outcome though, it was actually about your conduct at my home. The pressure tactics, attitude, condescending and patronising language, and the comment you made about pressuring an elderly lady into accepting less money were what caused me to refuse the sale and ask you to leave.
I stand by my review and my description of my car on the motorway platform and I believe it is important for others, especially potential vulnerable sellers, to be aware of my experience.
