It does and amazing job of keeping my Husky/Shepherd's teeth clean. She is now 7 and her teeth look great. No tartar or gum problems. She also uses the probiotics as she has a sensitive stomach and this helps to keep her digestive system happy. I have been using these products for several years now.

not sure how long it takes to see improvement
I'm being asked and reminded to please rate the dog dental powder I got about a month ago, but there hasn't been time to find out if is effective or not. I can say ordering and delivery were fine, and my dog does not seem to notice it when added to his wet food. I do hope it helps - he had very bad teeth when I adopted him at 9 years old and had to have several teeth removed. One thing I suggest - make the scoop separate and selectable by size of dog, or just state the dose amount such as 1/4 tsp. As it is set up, it costs more per dose for a small dog.

It does help with the plaque on our dogs' teeth but is not all. Daily tooth brushing is needed. The cap regularly leaks during shipping and has been a problem.

My dog has been taking the allergy and prebiotic chew for about 9 months now. Before finding these, she was having constant digestive issues that I couldn’t get to the bottom of. After a few months of the daily chew, her GI problems seemingly have disappeared, and she is less itchy generally. I am so grateful I found PetLab!

Pro Bright is not a substitute for…
Pro Bright is not a substitute for brushing as they advertise. I had my dogs teeth cleaned earlier this year and also gave them this powder at the recommended dosage every day. Six months later the Vet says my dog has a lot of plaque built up on her teeth despite me giving her this powder every day. Therefore, DOES NOT WORK. It may slightly improve their breath but that's about it. You still need to brush their teeth. This is NOT a substitute for brushing.

Communication between company and consumer is very good! And while it took a few months, I think the product is actually helping! My dog just had a dental cleaning, and while she did have tarter buildup, she had no gingivitis and her breath is not smelly!!

We appreciate you sharing your experience. When a new element is added to a dog’s daily food, it's common that they may eat less while adjusting. Generally, we've found that in our own dogs, best results are achieved by adding and mixing one scoop of the product to wet food. If you use dry food, simply wet the kibble with water or a little bit of olive oil and then add and mix one scoop.

I do like the detal powder for my two chihuahuas, wish you had this product for cats though. I rated product a four because it has taken longer to see significant results. I have used the product as recommended daily and will continue to do so.
