No regard for student wellbeing during…
No regard for student wellbeing during a worldwide pandemic.
Incredibly rude and blunt correspondence on all fronts regardless of which department/member of staff, constantly spoken down to.
Unbalanced and entirely unfair treatment of students across different accommodation buildings even though the company represents a whole being.
Students were given an offer to 'win a holiday' or 'enter a prize draw' in response to a global pandemic which not only attempts to make light of an incredibly serious situation but belittles the students.
No care for students' wellbeing at all.
I don't even need to have lived there yet to know this. My partner stayed in Belaton House this academic year and they treated him awfully. Still a building site when moving in and for many months after (first year of the building's operation). Looks fancy but all cheaply made - furniture would constantly be breaking and the walls are paper thin. Reception were actually rarely there to take in parcels for their students so there was almost never any staff there to assist when needed. The fire alarms would constantly go off for 10 seconds at random times of the day (staff knew nothing of this) and there were different fire drills at least 3 times a week at the most unethical times.
I'm already stuck in my contract for September 2020 at Crescent Place (I booked this in February, prior to the pandemic being as it is now). They do not let students from this year out of their contracts, and so far, are not doing that for new people living there either. Only today, some 3 months after booking, they emailed me to let me know that the window in my room doesn't open. But of course, "if I'd like to upgrade..." that's an extra £40 per month, just to be able to open a window. I would suggest that this is possibly against the law as nowhere on the site is it even stated that this room type doesn't have an opening window. Due to the pandemic, I want to take a gap year so I can do my third year properly! But I can't, because I'm still trapped in this awful contract. They don't care, you're better off at Unite Students, from what I've heard.
The way they are treating their clients…
The way they are treating their clients is disgusting
They are always talking about supporting their clients but they care only about the profit
Due a pandemic they send us an email in which they demand the whole amount they are not helping their clients at all
worst company DO NOT LIVE WITH THEM
worst company DO NOT LIVE WITH THEM. they preach mental health but when needed they are the worst
Disguting how they treat their clients…
Disguting how they treat their clients due to Covid-19
Terrible terrible company
Terrible terrible company. Only concern is making money, didn’t hold up the services agreed in the contract yet expect students to keep paying them. Shocking response to the coronavirus pandemic, have offered no help and focused only on maximising profits, going as far as to blackmail students with ultimatums and threats of paying late fees or rent that is just not affordable in this pandemic. Do not book with these people.
the money making company
Should be called the money making company... not about students at all! People have been told to go home and have therefore been left unable to utilise the shockingly expensive services!! Having lived there 7 months I’ve already paid them £3000... more than enough to cover everything used. I am a key worker student, both a student nurse and a social care worker, working so hard during this pandemic to help others, unable to live in my accommodation yet my worry from looking after and keeping patients safe is not top due to the worries about money due to 2 accommodations currently as back home. The law is stopping me from living there so this should be considered and if all other companies can help their students why can’t this one. Not to add the lack of support in response to our problems. Even in offering money off now they’re only giving 100% if you rebook with them for next year. They can go do one
Cash hungry unsympathetic landlord
This company cares about nothing except money and will intimidate and manipulate to get your cash.
Having being told to go home by Plymouth University, I packed up my belongings and moved out of my room and informed the building. I was then told that I ‘chose to leave’ so was still liable to pay rent. I replied saying as the UK is in lock down it would be illegal for me to travel to the building to live there, to which they told me to travel illegally and that there would be no implications.
They have been nothing but ruthless throughout the entire situation, demanding proof that people’s mothers have cancer, proof of death certificates, medical records and embassy letters and ignoring any question as to why they need this information.
Despite how horribly they handled things, the room was unbearably small, with a desk chair in the room I struggled to squeeze past. (Bearing in mind this single room costs the same as a 2 bedroom house per week in a small town, £150 per week).
Sound proofing was terrible and I was kept awake most nights.
Would never in a million years stay here again or recommend this company to anyone.
STAY AWAY
Shocking company!
The worst company ever, offering to "refund" half the rent we are meant to pay for not living there for the next 3 months, the amount meant to pay (£1000.54) is to hold our belongings not to even return for half of the next term, despite having moved everything out, I'm psychically paying for absolute 0 reason.
Announcing your are extending time to think about our "offers" to the 31st of may yet only publishing this on your facebook group not emailing it or updating peoples offer screen to where it still says due on the 5th of may, Very sly company that tries to squeeze as much money out of all students!
Get your act together and treat people fairly, other accommodations under the student housing company have been given the green light to not pay a penny whether you are in a studio or flat we deserve equality not being handicapped.
Greed, Greed, Greed.....Total disregard for students....Unhelpful advice.....Ridiculous options
Firstly, I want to give a shout out to the staff that work at Belaton who have been good, with the exception of their customer services team who have been dealing with the COVID-19 situation. The handling of enquiries and responses have been woefully inadequate to the point of complete disregard to the students. Rather than reacting with compassion to this global pandemic, TSHC, have decided to take the path of short term profiteering and greed.
Fellow students have written to various MP's highlighting our plight at TSHC, and although they cannot directly intervene, they share the sense of frustration and hope the company will do the right thing. That right thing would be to release the students from their accommodation contracts without penalty. Currently the universities are closed with nearly all of us having had our courses suspended. Under government guidelines we are isolating back with our families. Elsewhere in the UK, university students have been released from their accommodation contracts but not at TSHC. All that TSHC can do is come up with alternative schemes that still require some form of payment or commitment to rent next year. And when they do offer these alternatives schemes they do not respond to clarification questions.
Organisation at TSHC can be best described as shambolic!
If you are considering going to Bournemouth University, or another University town where TSHC have accommodation, I would advise you give TSHC a wide berth.
Unscrupulous and uncaring company!
Bad customer service during the…
Bad customer service during the Pandemic and no communication whatsoever.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!! they will take every penny you have and not care about you at all!!! this is the last time I will live there never again!!
Wack
According to all known laws
of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
because bees don't care
what humans think is impossible.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow!
Let's shake it up a little.
Barry! Breakfast is ready!
Ooming!
Hang on a second.
Hello?
- Barry?
- Adam?
- Oan you believe this is happening?
- I can't. I'll pick you up.
Looking sharp.
Use the stairs. Your father
paid good money for those.
Sorry. I'm excited.
Here's the graduate.
We're very proud of you, son.
A perfect report card, all B's.
Very proud.
Ma! I got a thing going here.
- You got lint on your fuzz.
- Ow! That's me!
- Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000.
- Bye!
Barry, I told you,
stop flying in the house!
- Hey, Adam.
- Hey, Barry.
- Is that fuzz gel?
- A little. Special day, graduation.
Never thought I'd make it.
Three days grade school,
three days high school.
Those were awkward.
Three days college. I'm glad I took
a day and hitchhiked around the hive.
You did come back different.
- Hi, Barry.
- Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.
- Hear about Frankie?
- Yeah.
- You going to the funeral?
- No, I'm not going.
Everybody knows,
sting someone, you die.
Don't waste it on a squirrel.
Such a hothead.
I guess he could have
just gotten out of the way.
I love this incorporating
an amusement park into our day.
That's why we don't need vacations.
Boy, quite a bit of pomp...
under the circumstances.
- Well, Adam, today we are men.
- We are!
- Bee-men.
- Amen!
Hallelujah!
Students, faculty, distinguished bees,
please welcome Dean Buzzwell.
Welcome, New Hive Oity
graduating class of...
...9:15.
That concludes our ceremonies.
And begins your career
at Honex Industries!
Will we pick ourjob today?
I heard it's just orientation.
Heads up! Here we go.
Keep your hands and antennas
inside the tram at all times.
- Wonder what it'll be like?
- A little scary.
Welcome to Honex,
a division of Honesco
and a part of the Hexagon Group.
This is it!
Wow.
Wow.
We know that you, as a bee,
have worked your whole life
to get to the point where you
can work for your whole life.
Honey begins when our valiant Pollen
Jocks bring the nectar to the hive.
Our top-secret formula
is automatically color-corrected,
scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured
into this soothing sweet syrup
with its distinctive
golden glow you know as...
Honey!
- That girl was hot.
- She's my cousin!
- She is?
- Yes, we're all cousins.
- Right. You're right.
- At Honex, we constantly strive
to improve every aspect
of bee existence.
These bees are stress-testing
a new helmet technology.
- What do you think he makes?
- Not enough.
Here we have our latest advancement,
the Krelman.
- What does that do?
- Oatches that little strand of honey
that hangs after you pour it.
Saves us millions.
Oan anyone work on the Krelman?
Of course. Most bee jobs are
small ones. But bees know
that every small job,
if it's done well, means a lot.
But choose carefully
because you'll stay in the job
you pick for the rest of your life.
The same job the rest of your life?
I didn't know that.
What's the difference?
You'll be happy to know that bees,
as a species, haven't had one day off
in 27 million years.
So you'll just work us to death?
We'll sure try.
Wow! That blew my mind!
"What's the difference?"
How can you say that?
One job forever?
That's an insane choice to have to make.
I'm relieved. Now we only have
to make one decision in life.
But, Adam, how could they
never have told us that?
Why would you question anything?
would give no stars if I could
they preach about 'well-being' and 'mental-health awareness' but fail to terminate their tenants from their contracts, forcing them to pay £1000+ for an empty room and ignoring all communications. is that caring about mental health and well-being? do they not realise the stress this is causing for many? it is actually laughable
LET ME OFF MY RENT YOU GREEDY CRETINS.
DONT STAY THERE
The room was not up to the £130 a week we paid. Mold under our bed which wasn’t spotted until we moved out so was causing me to have asthma. Broken toilet seat for 3 months without getting fixed. Broken shower they couldn’t fix, nor did they offer us somewhere else to stay. Gym and washing machines out of use many times. Please don’t stay there.
The most money minded company I've ever…
The most money minded company I've ever faced.
Terrible at supporting the students
My Son was a Tennent in Plymouth
My Son was a Tennent in Plymouth. These guys customer service levels are awful. They do not care two figs about students except where it involves extracting cash from them.
Refuse refunds
Even with the whole Covid 19 situation, they refuse to give us students the refund we deserve for overpaying months in advance when we aren’t living there!
