AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!. Numerous messages unanswered regarding a returned item where delivery was attempted twice following which they refused to collect item from Royal Mail. Item was returned to me again they ignored my requests to return item at their expense. Advice from trading standards/consumer was followed. Instigated a bank charge which I received which was then challenged by the business, with threats to take me to court when I challenged the sanity of their behaviour. I have now reported them to trading standards. Enough is enough. Trustpilot shows overwhelming bad reviews, hopefully something can be done to stop this reoccurring again and again.

I received my wicker basket on unpacking it and looking over it I noticed that a small bit of wicker was lose, checking this over further I could tell it was not the best quality.

I emailed the white lighthouse company explaining my concerns and sending a picture of the fault.

Received an email back advising me that after examining the photo they could not see any fault with my product that I purchased, if not happy I could return for a full refund.

The return policy states that I would have to cover the cost of returning, I should not have to pay for a refund return on a faulty good that was sent out.

I will not use this company again or recommend customer service takes ages for them to reply to your email can not call them to discuss as my concerns you have.

If I could leave zero stars I would avoid this company at all costs they don’t send goods and do not respond to emails absolute scam. Ended up raising dispute with bank and am in process of reporting to trading standards. How companies like this continue to trade with zero customer service is beyond me! Please don’t use them!

I do not like having to leave a negative review but sadly like so many others on this site, where this company is concerned I find myself having to.
I ordered an item which was delivered quickly but unfortunately the item did not match the quality of the photos on the website so I arranged a return within a matter of days . The return was via courier and was quite expensive. The couriers delivered the item and received a signature as proof of delivery.
However several weeks later and despite numerous emails, all ignored, failed attempts at calling, all you get is a recorded message telling you to email them! I have still not received my refund.
I suspect this company uses this MO assuming that customers will eventually just get fed up and go away. But there are laws in place to protect consumers in situations like this and like some other reviewers on here, it has become a matter of principle. I will use the courts if necessary to recover what I am owed. This behaviour seems to be a regular occurrence judging by the reviews, which amounts to a scam.
I would advise people to avoid this company, which is a great shame as I prefer to buy from independent traders and small businesses.

Disgusted at this level of service.Heard nothing about my order after waiting nearly a month ,they responded to my email to say the item would be sent when back in stock the following week.I replied to say that was fine but really they shouldn’t have taken my order for an out of stock item or certainly not without advising me it wasn’t yet available ! Instead of an email back I just get bank notification of a refund so they literally cancelled my order I’d been waiting all this time for and didn’t even email me nor reply to
My email querying! Will never use this company again

I am not one to leave reviews, but the experience I had with this company was dreadful. I ordered a console table and was sent the wrong one, mistakes happen, but the company were a nightmare to contact to arrange collection of the item. They then sent the correct item which arrived damaged. It took weeks to get a response to arrange delivery and a refund was only issued when persistently chased. Avoid!

Shocking after sales customer service.
Returned some of my order, chasing for 3 weeks for refund.Paid £10 for return delivery through Evri.
Now opened case with PayPal.
Would NOT recommend.

Another fabulous experience shopping with this company.....this is my fourth order and once again I have nothing but good things to say. This purchase consisted of a marble chopping board, and a framed picture, both excellent value and superb quality. My order arrived very well wrapped and these fragile items were well protected. 1st class. The only negative is that I wished my house was bigger so I could keep on purchasing.

Ordered on 12 Feb – never received the item.

First parcel was “returned” by Evri with no delivery attempt. They resent it, and the exact same thing happened again. After that, they stopped replying to my emails completely.

I’ve had to go through my bank to get my money back.

If you’re in the same situation: don’t keep chasing them endlessly. Raise a “goods not received” dispute with your bank and provide your emails and tracking.

Something is clearly not right here based on recent reviews. Avoid.

Appalling customer service. I placed 2 separate orders within a couple of days of each other - after two weeks I heard nothing so sent various emails asking for updates. Didn't receive a single reply to any of them! I tried calling, but it's an answerphone and you cant leave a message. After a few weeks eventually one of my orders turned up, but I received notification that I was being refunded for the other - no explanation given at all. Such a shame as the products look great, but not responding to customers is a surefire way to lose business.

Avoid this company at all cost! Scam company, do not answer emails of calls and so many customer like myself receive damaged goods. Total scam! How they are allowed to operate is beyond me

Good value well made furniture with responsive customer service (particularly Peter). Will definitely buy again from here.

I ordered a lamp from online retailer The White Lighthouse Company, based in Ireland. The lamp arrived in a crumpled box and when I opened it the shade was also crumpled and broken and there was a large crack in the base. Neither had been protectively packaged.
I have tried to contact the company that sold me the lamp and they sent me a response email containing a link for an Evri return that does not work. They have no phone number and they have not responded to further email correspondence so I feel they have 'scammed' me out of my money.
This is a disreputable company that has no idea how to package breakables, has no customer services / after care service and I notice has a lot of reviews similar to this one!

My first order of the small Farmington Rattan Storage Trunk hadn’t arrived after 2 weeks so I contacted customer service. Unlike other customers I couldn’t fault them. They sent out a replacement straight away and it arrived a few days later carefully packaged and in perfect condition. I am really pleased with the quality of the storage bench and think it was good value for money.

DO NOT use this company. I ordered a console table. It was poor quality, looked nothing like it was supposed to and badly damaged. When you return it you have to take to the post office and pay for the return, which they are supposed to reimburse you for. You will only get a refund when you ask, then a refund is issued but the postage is only part paid. No emails are answered. A dreadful experience with an appalling company.

I've ordered 5 items from this company on seperate occasions and each one has arrived perfectly,i love this shop,there are some unique items that you cant buy in shops,i love the New England look its so fresh & inviting.5 stars from me,i cant fault this company.

Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with this business. I ordered two items…… one did arrive with a slightly damaged packaging & one item missing!! I did contact the company to which they did reply once and unfortunately now have chosen to ignore my emails.

Basically I am out of pocket financially and have yet to receive my lost item. I do appreciate items get misplaced regularly…. However, I feel this is something that a company should tackle with the chosen courier and the customer should not be penalised for the loss.

I cannot recommend ordering from this company. I was sent the incorrect order. The goods received were nice, but not what I had ordered. Despite numerous emails (to the address given), asking how to rectify the problem, I have yet to receive a reply from them. The customer phone line has a recorded message requesting you to email and you are unable to speak with anyone in person, or leave a message.
Feeling totally exasperated, I left messages on Facebook and Instagram, requesting somebody to contact me. I did not receive a response and now I have appeared to have been blocked from their FB page as I can no longer access it. I have contacted my credit card company to intervene through the appropriate channels.
The customer service from this company is non existent.

Had a bit of misunderstanding on my part on my first order were very understanding after my horrible email I sent reordered what I wanted was delivered quickly in perfect condition well packaged as it was a fragile item so take the other reviews with a pinch of salt highly recommended.

Outstanding service, fast delivery great communication and the quality of the product is 5 star. Would highly recommend shopping with them again.
