Felt very welcome and comfortable at Dr Newmans clinic. I had about 4 appointments all together and each one the staff Doctors nurses and the reception staff where all so nice helpful and polite. I have had thread vein treatment and what an amazing result. I'm now looking forward to next summer where I won't feel embarrassed to wear shorts.

Great results from sclerotherapy. Lovely, friendly customer service. The cost a bit much at £399 for a 25min treatment.

I had 4 sessions of thread vein treatments on my face at the sheffield clinic and omg I wish I'd had the bottle to have had it done years ago!!..I would have never put the bins out without concealer because I was so conscious of the way I looked but now bring it on!!..I go face naked most days!!..the staff are lovely and very professional and put you at ease. Ladies and gents if you feel like I did then get yourself booked in for a consultation you won't regret it.

I was dissatisfied with my results after receiving vein wave treatment which was completed in Nov 2023. I attended the Glasgow clinic with Dr Kyle. I agreed to 2/3 sessions , advised by Dr Kyle ( I had the 3). I have been left with a small scar on my right cheek and although my thread veins show some improvement , it was not the outcome I expected or paid for. I did have a further consultation with Dr Kyle at his clinic and he agreed that it had not been as successful as he’d hoped and acknowledged I had been left with a small scar but was perplexed as to how it had occurred. I was then offered to try a cream which would help and told would be sent in the post and never received. I asked for my consent form to be sent to me via email as I had never received it. When I received it the recommended sessions had been changed to 3/4 sessions. This email was sent from out with the company.

Very apprehensive when I started this journey, fear of the unknown but now my treatment has finished there was no need to be. Staff were friendly and very professional, everything was explained and I was given the opportunity to ask questions if I needed to. After each treatment I was sent post operative instructions, what to expect and what to do. I would recommend this clinic if anyone is thinking of thread vein treatment of the legs.

Dr Kerr was also friendly and highly professional. I had thread veins removed and it was relatively painless. He did an amazing job and I’m super happy with results.

I wish I’d done this before. For years I had an unsightly thread vein at the entrance to one of my nostrils and at the bottom of my nasal septum. I was very self-conscious about it and was sure that people were looking at it. Then I started to develop some thread veins on the outside of my nose above my nostrils (above the alar crease – which I think is the technical term for it). I then decided enough was enough and started doing some research. I went with Dr Newman’s Clinic because they appeared on Channel 4’s Embarrasing Bodies. They were very helpful and I was set up with an appointment with Dr Kyle from their Glasgow clinic (he also does their Edinburgh clinic). Dr Kyle was very friendly and told me everything I needed to know. The actual procedure (VeinWave thermocoagulation) for me took about 20 minutes/half an hour (to do thread veins under my nose and on the sides of my nose). It uses an instrument with a small needle-type head to zap the thread veins. Dr Kyle warned me that it would nip a bit during the procedure and especially on the thread veins at the bottom of my nasal septum. He was right, the nips were fine on the outside of my nose but it did nip quite a bit on my nasal septum. It was just about bearable and it did bring tears to my eyes. However, that bit didn’t last long and it was definitely worth it. My nose felt fine afterwards. The first day afterwards was OK. However, the second day it was quite scabby and inflamed. At that point, and for a couple of days afterwards, I must admit that I thought “What have I done”! I bled a bit for a couple of days (which was not helped by the fact that I developed a cold immediately after the appointment). However, being initially scabby and inflamed seems to be quite normal and they warn you about that. They say only use water on your nose for the first day (I think nothing on it initially) and then don’t use harsh soaps or chemicals on it for a week. I actually worked from home most of that week because I was a bit embarrassed to meet people. However, by a week later, I was much improved. It did take a couple of weeks for the scab on my nasal septum to clear but now I am very happy. It sounds like most people need two or more appointments (perhaps because they are having a larger area treated) but I just needed one. I’m three weeks in and it is still looking good – the unsightly thread veins are gone. I think it will stay that way. If more veins appear in the future, I will use Dr Newman’s again. I can say that this procedure has worked for me anyway.

Delighted with the result. My large spidery vein and the smaller very annoying ones much less prominent after 1 treatment, 2nd one finished them off!

Friendly and attentive staff

The doctor was fine and lovely, was told the 3 sessions was enough to get rid of the viens on my nose.

All the sessions was completed over 3 months, 1 month after and they are there just like before.

Feel like it's been such a waste of time and money, as it's just the same as it was before I walked in there, except I'm money down.

Was hoping this would work, what a failure.
