Unfortunately this site seems to be going really bad....it used to be great but not anymore.
Last 3 purchases ....
1, ordered a pair of boots size 4, when they arrived one was a size 6 and the other a size 4 and took over a month to return and get a refund.
2, ordered a pair of size 4 sneakers they arrived and were a size 6 so ended up giving them to the charity shop.
3, ordered a jumper as I'd given up on ordering shoes.. the jumper arrived and had 3 holes in it....not fit for the charity shop and too painful a process to return so it got binned.
I've given up on this site and have gone back to charity shops.
Don't bother....shop elsewhere

One order, placed 20 days ago still not delivered, another order returned 10 days ago, no refund, no communication. They have an automated mail saying we'll be in touch within 18 days! Customer service is shockung.

Excellent for buying waste of time for selling. I suspect they will sustain themselves anyway because there are always secondhand clothes to be disposed of. But I would never ever sell on there as a means to make any money. If it’s less effort than taking things to a charity shop, then fine.

At first I thought this was a great service but they only listed half the items, which makes no sense at all as they listed half of a suit for example when it came as a set and everything was in the same condition.

Then there is no way to get hold of them apart from email and they were unresponsive.

It's basically theft in disguise. Avoid at all costs. Better to just donate or use vinted.

Do not use, just had notification that they are selling a £250 play suit with labels I sent them for £16.00. I would rather give it away, I’ve asked them to return to me asap!

I use Thrift+ all the time, great website.

This site is a scam. They sell your clothes for 10£ and give you 50p in return. It is better to use vinted for this re-sale. And they never come back to you!!! I requested all my items to be sent back to me when I saw the sam and never heard back. Unbelievable scam. I hope the guy who set it up and sold will have enough money for his medicine. To steal in such an awful manner - you need to be not a good person.

A documented timeline

-5 March 2026: I received the 1st email advising of a processing delay on 1 of my 3 bags, TP-701069-32 ('Bag 32').
-28 March 2026: 2nd delay email came. Thrift+ promised to notify me when processing was complete and give me 5 days to review and approve prices and items. This was the last communication I received about Bag 32. To this day, my dashboard still shows it as 'Received', and not 'Complete'.
-24–25 June 2026: I requested the return of my property via chat and email, then contacted corporate email addresses. No human response. Only automated replies from 'Fin'. I escalated to Resolver. Again, no human response. No return process or shop closure was initiated, despite my repeated requests.
-22 July 2026: Nearly a month after my request to return my property, a POPFLEX jumpsuit of mine sold despite the request for shop closure and return of my property.
-3 August 2026: I filed a small claim through HM Courts & Tribunals for losses I could support with evidence, including purchase receipts and photographs of myself wearing the property entrusted to Thrift+. Thrift+ admitted the claim in full and paid the amount claimed. This covered only the losses I could prove, not the full contents of the unaccounted-for bag or items still on my shop, which I had hoped to recover.

'Communication' and 'Customer Service'

I was referred to 'Victoria', whose proclamations focused on criticising the brands and alleged condition of my property rather than explaining its whereabouts. Furthermore, her explanations changed, and she gave conflicting dates for when Bag 32 had supposedly been processed. 'Victoria' only communicated through a relay email address, which apparently did not receive my responses.

In further unprompted emails, she claimed to have closed my shop and delisted all remaining items on 13 July, despite the documented sale on 22 July. She also claimed to have emailed me on 13 July. I never received that email.

I escalated to Jonathan of CTR Group, who had previously offered to mediate. On 10–11 September, I provided evidence of the communication breakdown and 'Victoria's' changing explanations. Jonathan supplied the list of remaining items to return and said he would investigate Thrift+'s position on Bag 32.

On 11 October, after a month without an update, I followed up. Jonathan asked whether I had received the return items. I said I had not. On 13 October, 3 items arrived on my doorstep without correspondence or shipping notification. I confirmed receipt to Jonathan and again asked for the promised outcome on Bag 32.

No further communication received.

My experience:
Thrift+ advertises a hassle-free way to declutter your wardrobe and earn pocket money. I believed in their advertised process and entrusted them with my wardrobe, expecting a streamlined process and some extra cash. Instead, I received just under £30 for the few items that were not rejected or unaccounted for.

A substantial portion of my property remains unaccounted for. I repeatedly tried to get it back, but the advertised return service was not in fact available. I was willing to pay return shipping in June. Nobody responded, provided shipping options, initiated a return or explained how to arrange one. A return service customers cannot actually access is no service at all.

I ultimately had to resort to court proceedings to recover the losses I could prove. Only 3 items were eventually returned, nearly 4 months after I first requested the return of my property.

Bag 32 is still marked 'Received'. I never received the promised 5-day window to review the items or recover my property. Its contents have never been properly or comprehensively accounted for. One piece of photographic 'evidence' supplied by 'Victoria' showed somebody else's clothing.

The lack of communication, the discrepancies in Thrift+'s explanations and the failure to account for my property give me serious doubts about what happened to it, and the integrity of those who handled it. Thrift+ has not provided a satisfactory explanation, and only responded once courts intervened. A company acting in good faith should want to resolve such obvious discrepancies promptly and clearly. Instead, even after Jonathan promised to investigate, I'm left with an empty closet and mountains of questions.

I started this process in January. It is now October. This is the opposite of the hassle-free service advertised.

If you are considering sending Thrift+ your clothes, think carefully about the value of your property. My experience is that once it's gone, it's gone. And a reliable account of what happened to your property? Don't believe everything you see advertised on Instagram.

Thrift+ is the point of NO RETURN.

I sent a bag of children’s branded clothes to thrift and have been really disappointed with the service. One, it has taken over a month for them to process my bag and now I’ve just received an email that some of the items don’t meet their criteria and if I want them back, I have to pay £9.99 to receive them back. I use Vinted all the time and albeit it is a different model, ie as attracted by the ethical aspect to thrift but my experience has fell short given the mission in my opinion

Came across Thrift+ on eBay first but the website has so much more to offer. It feels so good to be able to wear pre loved items especially of the quality and condition of the things from Thrift + and at amazing prices, I can indulge myself without feeling guilty! The website is easy to navigate, selection and payment is straightforward and delivery is quick with items neatly folded and packaged. I don’t hesitate to recommend and give 5 stars.

Have ordered a few times, clothes are as described and some decent prices however, really let down by the returns process / customer service. You pay for a return and would expect a timely refund and a CORRECT refund… unfortunately takes an awfully long time to get any response from the customer service. Still waiting for the right refund amount 3 weeks ish since they received the items back. Such a shame as this could be a great shopping experience if it wasn’t for the let down customer support.

Bags "in transit" for weeks now, I've been told today, it's an 18 day response rate to my urgent email. I had high value pieces in the Thrift Plus bags that are now gone.

Great products. Buying from the preloved section ensures good recycling , no landfill. Good for charities, great for clearing your closet, fabulous unusual and quirky clothes and accessories for me at a price I can afford. Expensive brands at really good prices. Good delivery time. Well wrapped using plastic ziplok bags that I can reuse. My first order I bought gorgeous funky Boden bejewelled pumps, gorgeous silver strappy sandals and a wonderful cross body leather bag by Massimo Dutti for less than £30 including postage. What's not to like. Good for your wardrobe, good for your pocket, good for the environment and good for good causes. Win win. Five star.

I am incredibly frustrated with Thrift+. My account has suddenly become completely inaccessible, and the system acts as though it was deleted, even though I never requested this. I had active store credits/earnings (£40+ cleared payout and £50+ pending) sitting in my account that I can no longer access. To make matters worse, their customer support takes more than a week to respond to urgent issues like this. Taking down an account without warning or explanation while holding a customer's money is completely unacceptable. I need Thrift+ to contact me immediately, restore my access, and reinstate my funds.

UPDATE - well, there is no update… nothing has been resolved, I still don’t have access to my account and I don’t have my funds. I respond to their emails but a new person picks them up and it’s back to square one - it is so frustrating!!!

As a seller it’s a rip off they sold 16 of my items and I got nothing back they sold them for peanuts should have used Vinted avoid avoid avoid as a seller

I sold two items with Thrift and am appalled at the lack of communication. They take your clothing tell you how much they will put them on their website to sell for and that’s it. Oliver Bonas coat put on their website for £88 I got £3.72 Regatta jacket £22 I got £3.30 so the coat made me £0.42 more than the jacket. My grand total for both items was £7.07 they sent me £6.77 so even at payout they still take a cut. I’ve emailed Thrift to ask where all their huge profits are going. My advise if your buying from them fine but if you’re selling items forget it it’s a huge scam and rip off to the seller. I wish I’d done what I usually do and give to charities or organisations that are not for profit. Thrift I would ask that you reply to my email just sent to you regarding where do all the huge profits you are making from sellers go and I look forward to your reply regarding this review on this platform. In the meantime a warning to sellers it’s a scam unless I hear differently, Thrift have the opportunity to tell everyone where the profits go if to a good cause then fantastic be up front with sellers before we use your service. Personally I won’t be using them again, their customer service is appalling. They take your items and basically tell you to piss off
