i used thrift+ because, to be honest, i couldn’t be bothered selling my clothes on vinted / depop. i sent off a load of expensive designer stuff which they listed at high prices - cool cos you’d get money for that!

if stuff doesn’t sell within a certain time frame they just reduce the price to below the threshold for you earning anything from it (without telling / asking you).

wish i’d never sent my stuff and just sold it myself on vinted/depop 💔

I have only used thrift so far for the purpose of selling items.
I have lots of heavy bags to deposit in go and so tried to use their home collection service on 28th August.
I was informed via online chat from a AI agent that the courier would not contact me directly; and I was told via email on the day that a courier would come between 1 and 3 pm. I’m not sure how I would know when the courier would come to collect my bags, given that I live on the back of the sixth floor building in a flat?
To address the issue, the online chat only directed me to an email form to reschedule collection, but nothing else to actually rectify the problem.

This is such a great way to declutter.. it makes it so simple and it's a fantastic way to reduce the amount of work you need to put in, especially as a new Mum. Excellent service, especially collecting from home - would do this again!

It has always been quite laborious to browse due to volume of results (and would lose pace if went away and tried to return to search results) but recent changes to the website mean can't filter by selection of brands and can't sort search results.
A recent search using available filters gave over 17 thousand results!
Makes the site unusable for browsing so I'll avoid unless looking for something very specific.

Absolute scam, you send good quality items and then they tell you they can't sell them. The worst part, they charge you to send your stuff back £9.99 minimum for your belogings. Would not recommend at all!

Great to get stuff bagged up and sent to them. Disgusting that they keep 80% of the sale!!!! I wish I knew this before I sent loads of clothes to them. Honestly wish I just chose Vinted to sell!

This concept is genius and executed so well!
The thrift bags to send your clothes are convenient and smart. It’s great to get some money back on clothes you don’t want.

Buying clothes, everything is well checked for quality, well sized and great pricing!

Only place I really need to look for clothes from now on!

Sent in two bags
One bag with 2 pairs of coach ballet pumps in very good condition was informed all items were sent to recycling
Second bag sent in three handbags 2 coach and one dooney and Bourke bag was registered as received and no further updates
So 2 attempts and it appears someone had helped themselves to my items is the only conclusion I can apply in the absence of any other info

Your response below is further evidence of not being helpful - so am I meant to put the bag details on this review? It would be more appropriate to add at a minimum a contact email address and ask for further details - seriously
Just adding it is now 3 September I provided thrift it with the relevant reference numbers and quel surprise no response again…,

I purchased a pair of jeans on the site, labelled by Thrift+ as a size 28. When they arrived I discovered they were actually a size 23, so I returned them. Two weeks later, no refund. When I finally got hold of someone in customer service, who confirmed they had the return and that they had 14 days to refund me in accordance with consumer contracts regulations. 16 days later and still no refund - and customer services have stopped responding to my requests for updates. Thrift+ are ok when they actually work and you receive goods which are as described on the site, but when things go wrong (increasingly often), they are terrible. And apparently don't give much of a care for your consumer rights.

Shocking.

They make it impossible for you to activate a payout.

Spend an extra hour and sell it all on vinted.

very straightforward way to buy secondhand stuff

Thrift+ holds so much stock that I could scroll for days. They often have offers where many items are just £5, I have had some fantastic bargains this way. Garments are always send quickly and as described. It’s an easy way to have sustainable fashion, what’s not to love?!

I ordered some gym clothes which were really good condition and I was very pleased.

Love the concept. I’m clearing out and have some nice items. The prospect of potentially making some money is appealing.

Avoid at all costs! You will lose all your clothes in transit, and there will be no way to get them back.

It's an absolute waste of time, effort, and money for the thrift bag sender, and the customer service is basically non-existent.

I sent 2 bags of my clothes in May. When I encountered a problem with the Evri pickup and sent them a message, it took them 1 month to reply.

After I sorted out the Evri pickup, I realised that the bags were stuck in transit, and Evri told me that the thrift side needed to contact them to sort out the situation. So I sent another message asking them to follow it up.

Again, I did not hear from customer service for another 3 weeks. When I finally got a reply, the only thing the staff recommended was that I wait longer, and when I replied to them with the question of how I could get the clothes back, they never replied to me.

So now it's been 3 months, Evri no longer have my tracking number, and I can not get hold of Thrift customer service either, and my bags are nowhere to be found.

Really sad to say, customer service is awful. After a problem with my order, I emailed, messaged, tried everything possible to ask why I still hadn’t received my order after many weeks from my payment being processed. They state it takes 18 days to respond to messages; this is not good enough. I finally had to go through PayPal to get my money back. When they finally replied long after the 18 days, they simply said there had been a problem with the order and the items were no longer available. Very disappointed, they need to reply to queries in a reasonable time as I was waiting for these items for a holiday. And they obviously sold the items I had already paid for and so they were no longer available. I will not be using again☹️

Disappointing. I have ordered clothes, most ok but some mis-sized and descriptions are limited and poor. However, the area I have most problem with is selling through Thrift+. I sent in 3 bags of clothes, all either brand new or very good condition, most designer labels. Several items were rejected and I have not received any information about items sold. I have received a rejection notice about an Escada skirt. This is brand new and still has its tags attached. I queried this but all I got was the tags can be forged. I sent the name of the shop where the skirt was purchased but they want the receipt. The skirt was bought several years ago and I don't have this.
It's been a poor experience and I won't use Thrift+ again.

Following the response. It's not a small fee to return, and another Escada item was accepted without receipt or original tags.
