Robbing b*starts
Absolutely disgusted by the way I have been treated by this company. I bought a dress that was stated as being in good condition and when I received it one of the straps was broken and held together with a safety pin! Sent dress back for a refund and waited and waited and waited! Tried contacting on several occasions and then raised a dispute with my bank from lack of communication. Now they are disputing my claim that they never received the dress back even though I have the evidence from Royal Mail that it was delivered to them. Company has really gone down hill since the original owner has left. Feel like they are complete con artists. Will not be dealing with them again! Disgusting behaviour!!!!
And the reply below is a load of b*llocks. Been speaking to Victoria about Half the day and first she denied receiving the return, then when I provided evidence that it was received she then stated that the refund couldn’t be issued due to the bank dispute of which you have disputed that you were not giving the refund. I have now found the same dress back on your site for sale but this time stating the fault even though it is for sale at £5 more than I paid for it.

I absolutely love the Superdry dress I bought and it arrived really fast, in time for me to quickly wash and hang it up to get the creases out (it smelled very clean anyway) and wear it for my birthday. I felt fabulous and it's my fave now! Will definitely keep my eye on the Thrift site for more amazing finds

Shocking to deal with. Sent two bags together full of items. They received one and the other lost and they won't return messages or telll me how to claim . Wish I never sent stuff now as a lot of it was new. Totally dissapointed and very upset

Disgusting
If I could give it minus starts I would. Sent some of my partners designer t shirts. Some sold for £20, I received £2…..then when I asked for the remaining items back, they wanted £2.50 per item the. £3.50 postage on top of that!!!!! Avoid at all costs

Huge price increases
I used to love this site and bought from them every couple of months.
Since they were bought out they’ve changed a lot and most recently they’ve raised prices on existing items. I know this because I have a running wishlist of items I’m interested in - a £17 shirt has jumped to £40, a £30 skirt has jumped to over £100 and a £12 cardigan is now £25. I’m guessing they are about to announce a “sale” - but I won’t be buying from them anymore. Would rather buy from Vinted or EBay

Raised prices before an offer
I recently received a 20% off offer on email, but when I went to check my wish list, every item had suddenly increased in price (some to ridiculous pricing for example a used Karen Miller dress for almost £500, way more that will cost brand new!). It makes the discount completely misleading. I’ve seen a few other reviews mentioning the same. Very disappointing to see how much Thrift+ has changed.

This used to be such a great site but…
This used to be such a great site but recently the ability to sort the results has disappeared and to scroll endlessly through lists of not very well filtered results is soooo time consuming. Also things in my saved list seem to have gone up in price. How is that?
I sent a few bags in some time ago which were not designer but in great condition and brands I have seen on the site only to be told nothing met the standards to sell. I had nominated to give any proceeds to charity so it wasn't like I was gaining so a shame nobody gets any value from the situation.
Not sure if the effort is worth it anymore.

When bags arrive at our warehouse, they enter a queue to be unpacked, quality-checked, authenticated, and photographed before being listed on our site.
Due to high intake volumes, this processing period can take time, and a gap in updates can make it seem like things have gone quiet.
We acknowledge that our communication during this waiting period needs to be better and we are actively improving our automated email notifications so sellers receive clear, regular updates at every stage of the journey.
In the meantime, you can check the live status of your bag at any time by logging into your online account.

Selling Experience
I sent in a bag of clothes to sell in May 2026 and the processing time took about a month which is acceptable to me. However, 2 items were flagged for authentication review as Thrift+ had deemed them to be designer items. For these 2 pieces, till today 6 Aug they are still pending review. I have emailed the customer service twice to follow up, only to be sent the same standard reply that it is under review.
I would recommend sellers to use Thrift+ as a last resort and only if you are prepared to write-off the items you send to them.

I have sold 17 items with no payout
I have sold 17 items, only have 10p in credits.
Receive zero email communication, one item i sent for sale for a new with tags £110 warehouse dress. received no credit or payout. I also can’t find the contact information to query what’s happened. It feels like they have basically took my nice clothes to sell for a profit themselves.

waste of time and effort
As some other reviewers have pointed out, I also sent a bag of items some of which were of excellent quality and unworn, only to have a lot of them rejected with no explanation.
I then paid £9.99 to have them returned to me so that i could donate them to our local hospice charity shop, where they flew off the shelves, thankfully providing much needed funds for the charity.
I have other items still up for sale on the site, weeks later I wait with bated breath......
Never again.

UPDATE:
What an absolute con! Only 1 item accepted for resale amongst more than 12 pieces! This bag had an original value of over £300. I shall continue to provide negative feedback for your “service” on all available media platforms. Disgusting!
Be Warned: I sent my clothes in one of their bags months ago and have proof of delivery. Some lovely pieces but I haven’t heard a word since and I’m not the only one! They may be good to purchase from but they are basically stealing the clothes to sell them!

I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Thrift+.
I sent three bags containing good-quality clothing, including brand new Clarks shoes, a brand new dress with the original tags still attached that cost me £50, another dress that had cost around €100, and other quality items. I expected a fair assessment.
I was then informed that my payout would be only £4.50, meaning I would receive nothing because it is below the £5 minimum payout threshold. This was very surprising given the contents of my bags.
What I found most frustrating is the lack of transparency. I was not given a detailed explanation of why the items were valued so low or why they did not meet the resale standards. I have contacted customer support asking for a breakdown and an explanation.
To make matters worse, customers are given only 6 days to request the return of their items (for a £9.99 fee), yet the automatic reply from customer services says it may take up to 18 working days to receive a response. This means customers may have to decide whether to pay to recover their belongings before receiving any explanation.
I feel the process is unclear and unfair. I expected much better communication and transparency when trusting a company with valuable clothing.

To clarify how our intake works, every item sent to Thrift+ is physically checked against our accepted brand list and strict quality criteria.
We can see these Clarks shoes are now listed and online, sorry for the delay.
But many specific high-street pieces that may be in brand-new condition,but not currently on our accepted brand list, cannot be accepted for resale.
When items are unaccepted, they do not generate seller credits, which can significantly lower your final payout regardless of the item's original retail cost.
You can check individual item rejection reasons at any time by logging into your online account.

Inflating prices during a promotion
I am a regular thrift buyer and often have 50 to 100 items saved for when I want to place a large order. Some of these items have been in my watch list for months so I know the price of the items. Today I have seen the price of over half the saved items go up significantly, probably as there is a promotional spend and save offer on. Some of these increases are 4 or 5 times the previous price. Is this a sign of things to come now that Joe Metcalfe has left. I don't think he would approve of these underhanded tactics.
