My company signed up for an annual subscription with one user for $111. After our first user had quit, we added another user (the first user didn't show up anywhere and we weren't informed that there would be an additional charge or prompted to uprade the plan). A second charge of $111 appeared on our business credit card from Time Doctor. We contact Time Doctor to explain the situation and request a refund and were told it's against their policy to give refunds?!
As dodgy as it gets, beware!
They Randomly Charge your Card! without even mentioning or any notice. and the big there there no refund policy at all. Very Disappointing services!
They just charge your card without approval. It's absolutely crazy!! Customer support was no help at all. I just made an account to check it out and BOOM charged. Bad way of doing business.
I purchased a Basic plan for 4 users, they charged me the premium for 5 users.

As someone who uses this app to work, this really hurts my productivity as I feel watched all the time, also it's tricky and even dangerous they get so much visibility into my accounts, passwords and internal communications. Not at all a tool you'd want in your business. Micromanaging and malware are not the way to keep your employees happy and productive.
I would give zero stars if possible.
They switched from Time Doctor to Time Doctor 2, and called the original Time Doctor Classic. They have removed the original from google and going to timedocotor.com and signing in there takes you to timedoctor 2. So in effect making it impossible to cancel your membership. They have charged me time doctor 1 and 2 for over a year and and are refusing a refund.
The industry norm is update the same website and not charge your customers twice. The software itself was OK but had a lot of bugs. For example, Id set the screen log for set intervals and nothing would be recorded.
Overall, I am not impressed. I suggest you stay away unless you want to be overcharged with a less than average software.
I have all the bank statements and evidence of their scammery.
Whilst the support team is helpful, the ease with which you can be overcharged is astounding.
Switching laptops cost me over £100 in "new" annual licenses for an existing user. I also got charged an annual fee for my 13-year-old daughter even though all she did was sign into a laptop on her own profile - I didn't have to authorise the debit at all.
Getting a refund is incredibly difficult and the support team tend to tell you that you have been "educated" because they've sent a link to a help article, which only makes sense to technicians!
Indeed even when trying to resolve my duplicate profiles the support team phrased their response as "I guess you need to delete"... they're guessing, yet I've been "educated" and therefore have to suck up another annual charge!
In theory it's a great system. In reality it has huge flaws that end up costing you a small fortune and takes hours to resolve with their support team.
My recommendation would be - stick to something simpler like Toggl!
They've refused a refund and given me "credit" but given I would never renew my subscription, they've effectively raided my bank account and kept the money!
We had a little issue with TimeDoctor: we had forgotten to cancel our trial period, and they charged us for 19 consecutive months while we were not using our contract at Time Doctor. Fortunately, after explaining our situation to their support desk, they agreed to reimburse us in full, which is more than correct from them. Thank you to the support department for its attention to its customers.
Overcharged. Then when I try to cancel, they gave me this message, "Your cancellation request was sent to our support team on undefined. They'll be in touch to let you know when the cancellation is completed.
You can re-submit for cancellation after 7 days."
I am somewhat disappointed with the service. It is very difficult to backup old users and then remove them from Time Doctor. Technical support is not very good. This seems to be a deliberate policy so that you accumulate more and more users and end up paying more money to Time Doctor! Other companies have much better systems in place so that you know how much you will be charged. To try and stop payments you have to email them.
I am a TD users for many years....and moved from TD 1 to TD 2 on the promise of new features and a sexier set up. But wow - what a shock & disappointment. Really killed me - as now I have to make a decision if I move my whole team back to TD 1 or elsewhere...the time spent moving my whole team, checking this platform out and trying to get my head around it - I am gutted. We have multiple accounts and pay a few thousand a year in monthly bills. In review of TD 2 - integrations - yes there - we need Teamwork, when we test it - it does not work the same or have the same features as TD 1 version. It is not TD - but Teamwork who do this - but wow..a kick when we move over. Secondly - we cannot switch off mobile in TD2 - the features and options are awful in my option compared to TD1. This is super painful - I have to manually remind and tell my team they cannot use this and now answer constant questions as to why we cannot use the app, as team members "accidently" use or or have to use it for a few weeks as their laptop is broken, etc. An option to switch it off? Personally I think the app loads very slow as well. Just my opinion..but I guess I am already down on it. The main reason we moved - it integrates into Wise - amazing for payroll. I go to the platform to export my payroll and of course it only exports in select currencies - not all the currencies that Wise offer...boom - I pay in local currencies - not USD and of course the ones I need are not available. What an absolute farce. I gave 2 stars as TD 1 was solid for me - but wow I have lost so much time on the half baked TD 2 - sorry to write this, as TD 1 has been amazing for us. I appreciate the new platform is being built out - but I am very upset tonight on all of these things...hopefully in the years ahead it gets there. If considering TD - dont go with 2 - go with 1...its good.
This is a scam company. They sealed money through creating a fake users. They have charged $10 per user. but I haver found this month they have charged extra $40 without our consent after creating fake users. This is a clear scam. I am processing with my solicitor to complaints to the relevant department. If they created millions fake users, they can easily sealed $10 million.

Their pricing page says the basic plan is $7/month for a single user. I tried it out, thought it was OK, and went to the billing page to enter my details as I couldn't access my data for the trial period without doing so. $30.44 a month is what it says will be billed if I go ahead, with my account as the sole user. Sorry - I don't think so.
Update - the issue was that I had accidentally created 2 users, and the pricing reflected the part of the month my account had been on a standard version trial. Support were able to credit the pro-rata bit and set my billing to $20 for 2 users. I should be able to cancel one going forward, so happy to increase my score.
Amazing. It is expensive but has improved productivity on a level well beyond the cost of the service.
Had an awesome experience with Time Doctor during my virtual days. Easy to use and never encountered any glitches. Kudos to the creator!
If you are a freelancer and want to add a client who can see your time logs they want to charge you $20/mo for that. After I realized this I cancelled my account. They "received my request" to cancel the account exactly 14 days ago and sent confirmation email, but they still went ahead and charged my card today. Extremely deceptive company with which I do not want to have anything to do with.

Good app and useful for time tracking. I used a few different apps and this was the best. I stopped using it as I just trusted everyone and forgot I had the team.
They started charging me as my account rolled into paid after end of the trial. as I wasn't using it I asked for them to cancel and refund me which they did. Amazing as I really didn't expect them to. If only all companies were like this!!!
Interesting tool. Will review again once I have used them a bit more
