My food, according to the driver, was delivered to the wrong address. When I advised of the error, he stopped communicating. Never, never ordering from Toast again. Horrible customer service.

Tried to order a pizza on the restaurant website with delivery to my hotel room 2 miles from the restaurant. The $35 pizza including tip, went up to $58 through the Toast delivery app, and then Toast wanted a tip for the delivery driver. I cancelled the order based on general priciple, and drove to pick up the $35 pizza. If I ever get diverted to a Toast App again, it will be too soon. The pizza was outstanding. Can't say the same for the Toast delivery app.

I never received my order, and there is no clear way to get help through the app. There is also no option to request a refund, even though I paid directly through Toast Local.

Any issue customers have is redirected to the restaurant, but the restaurant has no information and cannot assist because they do not control the delivery process.

I placed my order at 1:15 PM and was given a delivery time of 2:58 PM. It is now 4:02 PM, and my order is still sitting at the restaurant waiting to be picked up.

The tracking updates were inaccurate, communication was poor, and there needs to be a direct support/refund option for customers when delivery issues happen.

No customer service for people who use this site to order food. Restaurant says to contact the site we paid through, site allow customers only restaurant staff. I ordered food and the food was never picked up by the driver. We waited an hour after our expected delivery time and the food was still at the restaurant so we had to pick up ourselves after being charged for delivery and a driver tip from toast. The driver’s number goes to VM and there is no other means to contact them. Don’t use this site.

SCAM ALERT: Ordered $35 worth of food from burger spot in town. 5 minutes after I paid online, I got a text saying the delivery driver was on their way. A minute later the order was "cancelled", I couldn't get the restaurant on the phone, and couldn't get in contact with anyone at Local by Toast. What a useless "service" they provide. Hope the BBB shuts them down.

Waited 45 minutes for driver to arrive, with the wrong food, and he spoke no english at all. Toast has no way to request a refund, the restaurant can't refund the $10 driver tip or the delivery charge.

Driver did not speak English, did not answer phone and left pizza delivery on a random wall somewhere instead of the hotel. Sent message that the delivery was complete. Sent photo of pizza on some unknown wall.

I used the Toast platform to order delivery from The Kitchen at Priest Ranch, and it was a complete disaster. Half of my order was missing—including basic essentials like napkins and utensils—yet I was charged the full amount.
The most frustrating part is the absolute lack of accountability. When I reached out to resolve the issue, the restaurant blamed Toast, and Toast told me to contact the restaurant. As a customer, I am stuck in a loop with no way to get a refund for food I never received.
Toast's system clearly doesn't have a reliable way to handle order errors or protect diners from being overcharged for incomplete meals. If you value your money and actually want to eat what you paid for, think twice before using this platform for delivery."

The absolute worse. First and last time I'm using them. They never picked up our order but had updated a message saying order is on its way. They never picked it up. The restuarant owner delivered it herself. I'm asking local by toast to refund the tip and delivery charges. They are still pulling the it's the restuarants fault. No its your fault Toast. You're toast to me. SCAM stay away.

Ordered on the app and was then informed that the restaurant has closed its doors - toast agent unable to help and basically told me there’s nothing they can do to help…unable to cancel the order or process a refund. Shocking flaw in their system

I ordered pizza, Caesar salad and garlic bread. I received all but the salad. I asked the driver and told me “I don’t have, call support”.

I called the pizza place which is a great place and they told me they just started using this third party Toast delivery service and once it’s out of their store it’s out of their hands. They saw my order and that it was all put together and nothin left behind.

I tried contacting Toast but it’s all AI contact and they just put in “tickets”. I doubt anyone will even respond.

I’m waiting for a refund for the item I didn’t receive but who knows if I’ll even get that.

For $8 more I’ll stick with door dash next time.

I placed an order through Local by Toast. I received a text saying the driver was on his way with my order. Five minutes before his anticipated arrival I received another text saying the order was cancelled. The restaurant said they gave the driver my order and then Toast cancelled. I contacted the driver and he said he pressed his brakes too hard and my pizza fell on the floor. The restaurant did not seem to know what to do and Toast has no dedicated customer service line for those who order food from their partners. This is a ridiculous customer service/refund structure/model.

I finally broke down and called the only customer service number on Google which is only for businesses who work with Toast not people who use the Toast app to order from those businesses. After telling me he could not help me I clarified that the business wasn't the problem, the driver was and he hung up on me. They take no accountability for a problem that happens between the restaurant and the deliverylocation. I am out of $50.

The fact that you give them your money and they have no way to directly assist you in resolving the problem is one of the reasons why their competitors continue to attract so much business.

I am a loyal customer and I value a company’s response to problems and concerns. I will NEVER use Local by Toast again.

worst app ever. No customer service. Drivers do not speak English. So when your order is missing items the driver cannot help. My driver just hung up on me and blocked my number. lol

We were visiting from out of town and wanted local pizza. We placed an order from the restaurant at 4:31pm for 8pm pick up. They use Toast.

I immediately got a text that it was a 9pm delivery. I know for a fact I picked 8pm (as I was tempted to do 7:45). Maybe because my laptop was on MST, it switched it?

I couldn't cancel or modify the order.
I called the restaurant at 4:31pm - and she would "take care of me and get it there by 8pm".
That did not happen.
Pizza arrive 50m late and completely cold.

I believe this hassle was all from the initial ordering process with time change. I called the toast company, not asking for anything, but more so they can know the bug in the system to fix it for the future.

She was not helpful at all and said the restaurant needs to call (I also contacted them) but I figured they would appreciate the feedback to fix it.

She was rude and did not want the feedback.
Will not order from Toast participating restaurants in the future.

I tried ordering from the app, the money was taken and the order said it couldn’t be completed. It still hasn’t returned my money and the only thing they have is that damn automated ask help! I’ve repeated the same question 21 times to it and still keeps asking the same thing!

Toast sucks

Both the restaurant and myself were so confused and no one ever went to pick up the order. It took over 2 hours and we ended up picking it up ourselves. Complete travesty.

Do not waste your time on this app or the company there’s no one responsible you can’t get a hold of anyone even the chat is wrong!

The app is not working the off-line on the weekends after seven and you can’t get a hold of anyone. I have to come pick up my own food!

NEVER use this company if you want food!

DO NOT USE THIS APP! If you do not get your food, the customer service representatives will not do anything to help you whatsoever. I placed an order on April 11th 2025 which was not received. I called the restaurant and opened 2 support tickets with Toast to ask 1) where my food was, and 2) for a refund once it was obvious I would not be getting the food I ordered and paid $55 dollars for. Zero response or help and my money has been stolen. Buyer beware and know if anything goes wrong they will steal your money!

Placed an order for curbside pickup and waited half an joyride past yhe ready time. Nothing. I've never had a bad experience with this restaurant whether dining in or ordering take-out. I emailed toast and I got an auto reply stating that I'll be contacted by a rep soon and I should call the restaurant. You want me to WHAT? I ordered from the TOAST platform, THEY can call the restaurant. But really, I'm pretty positive it was toast sending my order to somewhere else or not sending it at all. Either way, I'll get my refund and I'll not be using them again. Peep
