Toro Lawn Mower is worthless
Toro Lawnmower 21462 lasted less than 1 year (9/28/2023 purchase date). After several attempts it starts and then dies within 1 minute. I only used it to mow an average size residential lawn and it was not mistreated. Only used about 15 times over a 1-year period.
Authorized Dealer was obtuse/equivocating in their support for warranty. I will never buy another product from Toro again.

I have owned Toro mowers since 1982 and have always been pleased with the build quality. I’m heart broken that my latest Personal Pace mower is junk. I’m very particular with my equipment and look after it meticulously. This mower is two years old and the deck is rusting already.
Guess it’s the sign of the times. Very disappointed that I spent $700 on a mower that is imploding after 2 seasons.
Bye bye Toro. I’ve bought my last mower from you.

I bought a Toro self propelled at the end of last summer and used it 2 and it was great. I got it out to use this year and wouldn’t start . I changed plug and it finally start but I smoked the neighborhood with all the smoke coming out and it finally cut off. Biggest waste of $600 . Should have stuck with snapper , going to put this Toro beside the road for trash pickup!
First time owning a Toro
June 2021 I purchased a Toro pacesetter self-propelled push mower. While I've had the mower there are certain things about the mower, that make it a more difficult mower to own.
1. There is no oil drain plug. Give me one good reason there isn't!
2. Lack of a clutch for the self-propelled mower when you're pushing it, which makes it more difficult to push.
3. No side discharge option
4. I'm always having to get it serviced to make it run better.
My electric leaf blower switch went bad…
My electric leaf blower switch went bad under warranty. I spoke twice with a very nice service rep at Toro and was given three local service locations. First one only works on gas engines. Second one would repair but will charge and not honor warranty. Third one, no one answered the phone during work hours which is suspect. I found another service location on their site. Dealer said they wanted nothing to do with the company.
Out of frustration, I took my original receipt and the defective unit back to Ace Hardware and got a replacement under warranty. We apparently cannot get repairs under warranty. Calling the Toro company was an exercise in futility.
60V Battery Replacement a Breeze
I had a 60V battery go bad and didn't realize it had a 3 year warranty. I wrong a bad review about the bad battery. Toro responded and let me know how I could get the battery replaced, for free. My battery was replaced quickly, once I found a local Toro dealer (Haltom Equipment). They took care of everything and the battery was replaced with a brand new battery. I couldn't be happier with my Toro experience. I had my original receipt and proof that my purchase was within the 3 year warranty. Their return system worked for me!
Fantastic customer care
We have a lot of rough grass to cut, bought a Toro 2 years ago - fantastic. This year the rear deflector baffle failed and local suppliers could not source a replacement. I contacted Toro customer care and asked where I could purchase a replacement, at the same time I expressed surprise that the part had failed after on 2 years of use. Toro replied within hours, asked for my postal address and sent a replacement part free of charge. Fantastic customer care.
Toro products are trash.
Toro products are cheap junk! A scam! My lawnmower broke for no reason and they still wouldn't give me a warranty! Avoid and buy from any other company!

A Toro leaf blower which stopped working the third time I turned it on.
I purchased a Toro leaf blower which stopped working the third time I used it. Toro advised me to take the receipt back to Home Depot and have them sign off and confirm I bought the tool there. When I told Toro Home Depot refused to have a manager to sign the receipt, they then advised me to take the blower to a Toro repair business.
That business said it would cost more to repair the blower than I had paid for it. They told me these machines very commonly break down, and steered me to an Echo brand as the best, should I want to replace the Toro leaf blower.
So, I paid nearly $70 to blow leaves twice. If you want a leaf blower, the lesson I learned is to spend more on a better product.

bought 50 inch ZTR, opened Toro credit - paid off with first statement. Per Toro the payment was a few days late and they have been charging me late fees ever since. Customer service states policy is policy and if they lose a customer , " perfect , no problem" was the response.

I have 2 30''Toro personal pace mowers but one working and at $999.00 was due able but at $1599.00 no friken way.These mowers ware out in less than 1 year like cables break, tires bald, very cheap brackets on raising and lowering mower height once they break its useless. Don't buy if you plan to use every day!!

Bought a Toro 30 inch timemaster completely junk oil burner from day one. Bought from independent dealer mower tore down into pieces I’m without a mower at this point. All I want is my mower replace absolutely impossible with Toros customer service.

Toro seem to have a strong Planned Obsolescence strategy
Purchased a 51594 leaf blower which went well for a few years, but has now stopped working due to the poor design of the power cord attachment. I contacted Toro to try and order a spare part (I can't imagine I'm the only person to experience this due to how these devices are typically used, putting continuous pressure on the point that the power cable is attached to the unit) to receive the response that no spare parts are available and that the only option is to purchase a brand new unit. Will not be buying Toro again.
Toro shipped wrong part but made me pay shipping both ways.
I have a 10 year old Toro super mulcher mower with which I've been pleased. It is slowly falling apart piece by piece. Getting replacement parts from Toro has been a challenge. Most frustrating was when I could not locate the part online and used a Toro representative who selected and shipped the part she said I needed. It not only did not fit my mower, but Toro made me pay for shipping both ways and ignored my request for shipping reimbursement.

Avoid if you can !! Bought a couple of trimmers for my garden - both battery operated - had them for just over a couple of yeas but i only used them few times .Tried to use it recently and the battery seems to be dead as it will not charge - and I can not buy replacement as they no longer making them ??? Well I cant buy it anywhere and I tried to contact them for some answers - 1 week now and no answer .You would expect quality and decent customer service - well .. not with Toro .
