The sales / Admin & Fitters were all 5 star. We received an extremely fair price no haggling necessary unlike some bigger companies that start way over price.
Received updates along the process of the shutters being made and fitting arranged and completed within the estimated time and most importantly the shutters look great.

Great experience with Totally Shutters
Very nice company to deal with throughout. At initial survey Simon was very friendly, honest, helpful in discussing our best options and made no pressure to accept his quote. Following acceptance of their quote the process was managed very smoothly, including email updates on the status of our order. The installation was done very professionally, quickly and no mess left afterwards. And most importantly the shutters look great and are great quality.

I am so happy I literally cried happy tears when they went on. The fitter is a master at his job and the shutters are perfect. The advice we were given as to the split of the shutters was spot on.
They look beautiful close and open smoothly and love the way you can Meave parts of them closed and open just top parts during hot period it was perfect as we had privacy but the top was open with air coming in

Large Lounge window shutters
The whole experience from start to finish. All were punctual for arrival from Simon who came to measure was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to us really well which made the final decision making easier. Then it was over to Michelle in the office, very friendly and helpful as well as sending out our two weekly updates. Today we had Connor in to fit them. He was friendly, professional, tidy and polite and I will def be using this company again for the rest of my house once I’ve finished the decorating and replacing the last of the windows. Thrilled!!

Very professional from the start to finish. Product is absolutely perfect.
Very punctual, pleasant people both in person and on the phone. Despite my parking situation being difficult they dealt with it beautifully.
I do not understand the negative reviews at all.
As soon we paid the deposit I received the receipt via email. As soon as we paid the second instalment we got the confirmation too. The installation process was very smooth. All rubbish was collected.
I would recommend this company highly and I would definitely order again.

Ordering was straightforward as was the measuring which was carried out by their friendly owner.
We were kept regularly updated and booking a fitting date was done very easily once delivery date was confirmed following manufacture.
The fitting was swift and professional.

Unbelievably bad throughout
Pre-installation service was appalling.
The frames are so much smaller than the windows that they use a lot of filler to close the gap. The filler does not hold the shutters' frames firmly so as a result, they rattle.
Flytipping on my property.
After the installer left, I found a massive rubbish bag left behind my car - they did not ask where are the bins or if they can leave them where they left them, just dumped them between a fence and my car. Appalling. (see my picture)
Overall, the quality is on par with much cheaper products - the price is premium but the product isn't and the service is inadequate.

It is somewhat not surprising you have left such a negative review as you proved to be difficult & rude to our staff on the telephone when they had called to arrange installation. You did on several occasions slam the phone down and was extremely rude leaving a member of our staff in tears. However Totally Shutters take reviews seriously and we are very surprised you did not contact us and raise any issues whatsoever. In answer to above:
Shutters are installed with frames and caulking and is essential to close gaps. Caulking does not hold shutters in place they are securely fixed with screws and panels held in with magnets so there is no reason your shutters would rattle.
We do not fly tip whatsoever, we always take away all rubbish so we do apologise if this was accidently left. We can arrange for the fitter to come back and collect this.
Our shutters are made of premium hardwood and very competitively priced and we always do our best to satisfy customers.

Further to your emails below and further to our telephone conversation today, of which you have abruptly hung up the phone on two people at our office, I need to clarify with you the position with regards to the settlement of the outstanding balance of £627.00. You will need to settle this by no later than Thursday 10th November by midday.
Unfortunately, if you do not settle the outstanding balance prior to the installation, your appointment will be cancelled and we will then await for your communication with us, to rearrange another appointment of course, once settlement of the outstanding balance has been received. These are our terms and are clearly stated in our T&C’s, also they were on the quote which was sent to you on 5 August and also on our Invoice which was sent to the 8th August. You were therefore fully aware of our Terms & Conditions with regards to the outstanding balance payment.
I can also see that you have been fully updated on the stages of your shutters which are our genetic emails which we send out to customers. You were also updated with regards to your payment of deposit, confirming we had received the same. I therefore fail to see any communication with you that has been misleading in any way whatsoever.
We will therefore await receipt of payment, failure to do so will only delay your shutter installation.
Simon telephoned you today at around 2:30pm, when he left a voice message kindly asking whether you had yet made the outstanding balance payment for the fitting of your shutters, which was scheduled for tomorrow. He had asked you to confirm payment to be made by 4:00pm today. Unfortunately, we have not received the outstanding balance and we have therefore now had to cancel the appointment for tomorrow.
Please feel free to contact us to make the final payment of the outstanding balance due, and we will then be able to rearrange the fitting of your shutters.

During our home rennovation, we have dealt with lots of different companies, and Totally Shutters was by far the easiest to deal with. From start to finish, they were helpful and professional.
I shopped around and they were by far the most competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you're looking for plantation shutters. 5-star service throughout.

Worst company ever!!
Worst company ever!!
Placed an order in February for some shutters and was sent the invoice and asked to pay 50% deposit, which I did.
I then received a confirmation of the deposit and an email a few weeks later to say that my order was in production.
For the last 4 months I’ve been communicating with them and had regular updates and was told last week that my order had arrived at their warehouse and was ready to be installed- obviously after waiting for 4 months this was great news and we had booked the fitting in for next week!
I have just received a phone call to say that actually the deposit had not gone through and there was no order being installed, but instead of doing the right thing and actually apologising, they basically said it was my fault for not paying the deposit!!
I’ve literally been waiting and having regular updates for 4 months!!!
Sort out your admin and get a team that’s not so incapable!!!!!

We invite the customers to either pay by bank transfer or to contact the office to make payment by card. You unfortunately did not do neither. You were indeed made aware that we do not place an order unless we have received a deposit. This information is clearly stated on our quotes and invoices sent out. Back in February, you asked us if we could send you a pro forma invoice and upon receipt you would pay the deposit. Please see the email below informing you that the email sent to you was a generated email sent by mistake and also requesting the deposit (we have hidden part of your email address for your privacy):-

We never heard back from you, and you did not contact us to pay the 50% deposit and to place your order. When our invoices/pro forma invoices are raised, our CRM database system will then go on to generate scheduled emails sent out to customers. These emails will notify customers that their shutters are in the process of being made, etc. This is the reason why you mistakenly got these emails which we can only apologise for these being sent to you. This was an oversight on our part, but equally you had a responsibility too, which was paying your deposit to enable the order process. You were indeed mistakenly told that your order was due in. Unfortunately, this error was made by a new member of staff as we also had another customer with the same surname as yours and who had placed his order back in February 2021. I did try to explain all this to Alex over the telephone but unfortunately, he would not give me the opportunity to apologise and he became quiet verbally abusive. From a business perspective, we do indeed care and value all our customers, and it would have been good to have the opportunity to try to resolve any problems before posting such negative reviews. We can only apologise for any errors made on our part of this process.

Competitive price, helpful specification meeting and professional, timely installation
Our installation was completed quickly, efficiently and professionally exactly at the time we were to expect it. The price was considerably below that quoted by local competitors, for what appears to be an identical product. Simon's visit to us was also the most useful one as he made good suggestions regarding what to install, and gave an additional suggestion to change the handles on the windows to narrower ones which made the shutters fit into the frames better.
