Truthfully, Tutorbird is the best software you can use if you're running a tutoring business. Right now, we manage between 30-50 students depending on time of the year and we have 4 tutors.

All sides of the platform work really well. Tutors have an easy time navigating, and so do parents with a little bit of training from our side.

What I also appreciate is the fact that the platform is quite customizable, and that they periodically release new features (such as lesson package pricing) that add to the value of the platform.

I've had a couple of hiccups here and there with support, but in the end this has always been resolved in a relatively swift manner.

⭐ 1 Star – Payment taken but membership access removed

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with TutorBird.

I made a membership payment on 28 July, which should have covered my account from 28/07 to 27/08. However, after I changed my payment method, my account was automatically unsubscribed. I was not aware that removing PayPal would result in my membership being cancelled.

What I find particularly frustrating is that, despite having already paid for the membership period, TutorBird only offered to extend my access on a free trial until 14 August rather than restoring the paid access I had already purchased until 27 August.

I have also been told that I need to resubscribe using PayPal or a credit card, even though I have already made a payment for the current membership period. I do not want to use a credit card because doing so would put me under unnecessary financial pressure.

I have asked TutorBird to explain what has happened to my payment from 28 July and why I am being asked to make another payment, but this situation has been extremely frustrating.

Most importantly, the loss of access meant that I was unable to use TutorBird for my tutoring work and lost income as a result.

I appreciate that there may have been an automatic system process involved, but I believe customers should be clearly informed that removing a payment method will cancel their membership, and existing paid membership should be honoured.

I hope TutorBird will resolve this properly and recognise the membership period I have already paid for.

As this is Tutor Bird's first review and as I am going to sound SOOOOO enthusiastic, you might think this is a fake review but seriously, Tutor Bird has changed my whole way of working.
Previously I was using spreadsheets for accounts, outlook for scheduling, manually sending emails with lesson links and follow-up notes, manually making Zoom appointments, using OneNote for records and trying to handle a complicated Wordpress website (which is rather expensive too).
Now I have everything in one place and most of the work is automated for me.
It was VERY easy to set up and parents/ students get access to their own portal with everything they need to make appointments, make payments, amend records and more. The website builder is a piece of cake and included in the very reasonable price.
If you have more than a few students in your tutoring business, get Tutor Bird!
