Disappointing durability and terrible after-sales support
I bought a pair of Venum Training Camp 4.0 boxing gloves in November 2025 for my 11-year-old son to use for kickboxing.
Venum’s product description states that these gloves are suitable for boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai with “regular use (3-4 times per week)”. My son's use has been for kickboxing training, typically no more than around four hours per week.
After around ten months of use, the Velcro fastening on one glove deteriorated to the point where it no longer holds the glove securely closed. In my view, the gloves otherwise remain in very good condition, as shown in the photographs I provided to Venum.
I raised the problem with Venum and supplied photographs and a video showing the condition of the gloves and the issue with the fastening.
Venum told me that, following review by their Quality Department, they had assessed the issue as being related to the use of the gloves rather than a manufacturing or quality defect. They declined to offer a repair, replacement or refund.
What I've found particularly disappointing is that, despite asking more than once, I haven't been given an explanation of what specific aspect of the gloves' use Venum believes caused the failure, or how their use differed from the regular use described on Venum's own product page.
I'm leaving this review so that anyone considering these gloves for regular kickboxing training has the benefit of my experience with both the durability of the fastening and Venum's response when I raised the problem.
