Most of our products are authentic military surplus, sourced from trusted suppliers around the world. We also offer a small number of reproductions, some of which are made in countries like China. This is always clearly stated in the product description. It's also worth noting that even official military organizations sometimes choose to manufacture gear in China for economic reasons.
Regarding the return cost, as mentioned in our Return Policy (located at the bottom of our website), return shipping is the responsibility of the customer—unless the error is on our side. In such cases, we always provide a prepaid return label after being contacted by email.

Returned goods not refunded
I bought a jacket as a Christmas present. They shipped the wrong size and as it was close to Christmas, I chose to return the jacket and request a refund. They have confirmed receipt of the jacket over 14 days ago, but they have not refunded the money.
UPDATE 13/1/2025
They refunded the money for the jacket after I told them I had written a review on Trustpilot. They have not refunded the cost of returning the jacket.

After reviewing our email exchanges, we noticed that we did send you a return label with the shipping costs covered on our side, but unfortunately, it wasn’t used. Had it been used, you wouldn’t have had to pay for the return yourself. We also saw that our team sent a follow-up message that remained unanswered.
That said, we completely acknowledge that we should have caught this earlier and refunded your return costs, since the original error was on our part.

Avoid the online shop
Avoid the online shop. They sent me the wrong size. I tried to reach them by mail, Instagram, Shop app, their website chat, and never got any response. Anyway, I’m just amazed how they ignore their customers. If they are incapable to provide a minimum customer service, they shouldn’t run an online shop.

Mediocre quality
During their sale I bought two jackets and a pair of pants. It took three weeks to arrive while I paid for 2-4days shipping, no communication on the delay from customer service. The items are of a laughably poor quality, the fabrics are thin and cheap made in china, the seams are fraying, it is great wearing for a costume at best, none of the items would last a minute in a battle. Charging over a hundred dollar for this feels like a scam.

Quality and Customer service is poor
I purchased a Large French army work jacket during their holiday sale. When I opened the package, it looked like they didn't even bother folding the item. They just tossed it in with no care.
When it arrived, the color was not as blue and vibrant as what their website shows. It was more darker. I figured with lighting and editing the color won't be as exact so I dealt with it.
I then inspected the jacket. The quality was not that great. Threads were hanging out, there were some worn sections. I actually was going to just eat the cost and just exchange for a larger size as the large was a bit too fitted.
Emailed customer service a couple of times and got no response. I typically don't leave reviews, but after doing a quick google search on them I realized there were more customers who had the same experience that i did.
Learn from our mistakes and shop elsewhere.

As mentioned in the product description, this is not a deadstock piece but a genuine vintage French work jacket—so signs of wear such as loose threads or light distressing can be present. On the topic of color: it's true that these jackets were produced in different factories over different eras, which can cause slight variations in fabric and tone. While we aim to represent each item as accurately as possible in our studio photos, there can occasionally be small differences due to lighting, editing, or batch variations.

It's not a bad shop
It's not a bad shop, it's just a little missold.
Bought a navy jumper and raf tailor pants. Very happy with the jumper, good size, comfortable, and keeps you warm. The tailor pants also do fit.
The issue is with the trousersthat it's not surplus, it's made in China. The actual cut could be considered fine if that was what was actually advertised, but the waist is too low, isn't fully what was expected of surplus, and does really match expectations of what you'd see from other surplus providers.
Other items may be better, but for now, avoid the trousers at very least.

Absolute Disaster – Avoid at All Costs!
This has got to be the most appalling shopping experience I have ever had. From start to finish, Univer Surplus managed to fail in every imaginable way. First, the communication was non-existent. I tried reaching out multiple times through email and their so-called customer support line – and let me tell you, I would have had more luck getting a response from a brick wall. When they finally decided to respond (days later, mind you), their answers were vague, dismissive, and didn’t even address half of my questions. It was like talking to a bot programmed to frustrate customers.
But the real nightmare began when my package arrived. I was expecting high-quality, original deadstock materials as promised. What I got instead were laughable, cheap Chinese knockoffs that looked like they had been dragged through a trash heap. The items were damaged, with torn seams and discoloration that was beyond repair. Calling this “deadstock” is an insult to the term. It was blatantly clear that these goods were the lowest-quality rip-offs, the kind you’d be embarrassed to admit you paid anything for, let alone what Univer Surplus charged.
And speaking of price – the absolute audacity! I found the exact same knockoff items on other sites, priced at a third of what I paid here. It’s infuriating to realize how blatantly this company preys on its customers’ trust, selling shoddy products for outrageous markups. I feel like a fool for falling for it and won’t be making the same mistake again.
Save yourself the frustration, disappointment, and financial loss. Univer Surplus isn’t just a bad retailer – it’s a shameless scam. Avoid them like the plague.

I think there is an intern working in sales
The website said the item was available. I ordered it and a few days later I got a message saying the item was not available. I then decided on something else and was told that the item was back in stock. In the end I got something completely different to what I wanted. I ordered a hat and it was a jacket. I never ordered from the website again and I don't recommend it to anyone!!!!!

bought a jacket and beanie. the beanie was a keeper but the jacket had to be returned. they have received the returned jacket but now there is complete radiosilence.
UPDATE!
I didnt think I would recive my refund but I just did. so instead of giving a really poor review I have changed it. The biggest problem is the lack of communication though.
