Cancelation with no penalty by supervisor not honored
I am writing to formally address a serious issue regarding the cancellation of my membership. When I initially contacted your customer service team, I was informed by a supervisor that I needed to make one final monthly payment to complete the cancellation process due to having already completed a percentage of the membership. However, after numerous calls with various supervisors, agents, and quality assurance representatives, this agreement was repeatedly denied.
I specifically requested to escalate the matter to a higher supervisor six times, but my request was denied by Leisy Rivero from Member Quality Assurance (Ext. 1149). After multiple emails, Ms. Rivero ceased responding and began ignoring my attempts to resolve this matter.
To make matters worse, I am now receiving messages demanding additional payments and threatening legal action. This is unacceptable. I have never used the membership, have already paid for several months, and have been treated disrespectfully throughout this process.
I am requesting the following actions:
Immediate cancellation of my membership.
Complete removal of my personal data from your database.
A confirmation that I will not be charged further or contacted regarding additional payments.
If these actions are not completed promptly, I will be left with no choice but to escalate this matter further through legal channels, media outlets, and social media platforms.
I hope to resolve this amicably and look forward to your prompt response.

TOTAL SCAM COMPANY
TOTAL SCAM COMPANY! BEWARE OF THESE GUYS & ALSO RCI, U-LIFESTYLE COLLECTIONS
THEY LIE, MISLEAD AND TRICK YOU TO BUY THEIR PACKAGES - PLS DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
WE GOT SUCKED INTO THAT HELL HOLE AND WASTED $6K. PLUS EVERY YEAR THEY WANT YOU TO PAY TO KEEP THE MEMBERSHIP ALIVE - AND WE GET SCAMMED AGAIN THINKING OUR MONEY SPENT WOULD BE WASTED IF WE DO NOT CONTINUE OUR MEMBERSHIP.
FIRST OFF, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND DATES THAT WOULD SUIT MOST WORKING CLASS. BLACKOUT DATES, RESTRICTIONS, HECK A LOT OF FEES TO BE PAID EVEN IF YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT'S AVAILABLE. BUT WAIT!!! THE RATES WON'T GET ANY BETTER!
WHATEVER RATES YOU SEE ON THEIR SITE ARE WAY MUCH HIGHER THAN WHAT YOU CAN FIND ON ONLINE TRAVEL SITES OR THRU YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANIES OR ON COSTCO TRAVEL.
THIS IS A BIG SCAM - PARTNERS IN CRIME ARE HYATT. THEY USE HYATT'S LUXURY PROPERTIES IN MEXICO, CARIBBEAN AND DR ETC TO LURE INNOCENT TRAVELERS INTO THEIR SCHEMES WHICH LOOK LUCRATIVE PER THEIR DESCRIPTION - BUT IN REALITY, YOU WILL ONLY END UP WASTING YOUR MONEY!
SIMPLE MATH (WHICH WE DID AFTER REALIZING THIS IS A SCAM)...
HAD WE NOT BROUGHT THEIR ""SO-CALLED LUCRATIVE PACKAGE FILLED WITH BENEFITS"", WE COULD HAVE USED THAT $6K PLUS INTEREST EVERY YEAR TO DO AT LEAST 2 EXPENSIVE HOTEL STAYS FOR 2 WEEKS.
IT'S A SHAME THERE IS NO CHECK ON THESE SCAMSTERS & THEY CONTINUE TO MAKE MILLIONS WITH THEIR SCHEMES
SOMEONE STRONG IN LEGAL ASPECTS MUST INITIATE A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT
It's a scam - Keep your money & just pay for your trips!
We have paid a great deal of money and I feel like we are constantly being lied to. We were told that if we went to Gold status on the day we upgraded, that the Secrets in the Dominican Republic would be 1-1 for us (we would be "grandfathered in"). Apparently that was a lie. 2nd issue - I reserved a few days in Huatulco last year and I immediately got a message that I had booked twice (I never hit anything twice). I went back in and cancelled immediately. Then, when I realized I couldn't get flights to the area I called VU the next morning to help cancel the booking. They were to contact Huatulco to see if they would give back the penalty nights. One was an error & I did cancel both within 12 hours of making the reservations. They penalized me for both reservations even though one was a "technology issue". 3rd issue - amazing that the days we want to use premier nights are NEVER available. I've changed our booking for EVERY vacation we have used the premier nights.
Be aware of these people!!!
Be aware of these people!!!! They are scammers. They give misleading sale presentations and lack of full disclosure.. They will tell that they are not timeshare and there’s no annual fees… There are all lies.. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!! ( Like myself)
SCAM ALERT!
Total scam, You wont get your promised incentives, worse than a used car salespersons pitch!!! DO NOT SIGN! Contract in Spanish, they try to get you drunk before signing! Good Vibes! Yeah Mon! Should be illegal, I watched couple after couple going on these tours. We certainly seen the scam for what it is!
worst scam ever!!
worst scam ever!!! 5 day cancelation period, I was still on vacation. When I got the call from them a few weeks later, thats when i find out about all the hidden fees. And now I must pay 50% penalty and I get jack shit in return. So $7000 down the drain. And they pressure you to accept the deal right away or you get nothing. I couldnt even take the day to look everything over. Total BS.
THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO SEND TO MY BANK
THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO SEND TO MY BANK
Dear Starling Dispute Resolution Team,
I am writing to formally dispute charges made by Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC) and request assistance in halting further payments and refunding amounts paid to date.
During our honeymoon in May this year , my wife and I were subjected to an intensive sales pitch by UVC that occupied an entire day of our trip. The representatives assured us of extraordinary travel benefits, including 20 weeks of worldwide holidays for up to eight guests, priced at £300 per booking. Part of our business model in 2025 is to provide training for our clients and we thought being able to do this in an idyllic holiday destination would be ideal.
Despite our hesitation, we were pressured into signing the contract under the influence of complimentary champagne.
Following the signing, we were given only a Spanish version of the contract, (attached to this document) which we could not read or translate at the time. Upon returning home, we reached out to UVC for clarification on our membership benefits and how to book the promised holidays. This resulted in a frustrating runaround; each company referred us to a different company – Universal Vacation Club to RCI and vice versa – with none able to provide clear guidance on how to access the benefits. We had never even heard of RCI before our initial conversation with Universal Vacation Club.
After several failed attempts to get a straightforward explanation, we requested an English translation of the contract and a step-by-step booking guide. While they eventually sent a translated contract, this was sent from yet another company we had never even heard of, Global International INC) they refused to provide the booking guidance. Our last email on October 1st, 2024, (attached) where we warned we would cancel unless we received assistance, we were told in an email (also attached) that one of their representatives would be in touch. That email was received on October 2nd we have yet to receive any response or support from UVC.
Given the misleading nature of UVC’s representations, our inability to utilise the promised benefits, and the obstructive responses from their customer service, I am seeking the following actions.
Immediate cancellation of all further payments to UVC from our business account, which we intended to use for developing travel-based training retreats.
Refund of all payments made to UVC to date, as we believe this contract was obtained through misrepresentation.
Whatever you do DONT SIGN UP FOR THIS…
Whatever you do DONT SIGN UP FOR THIS SCAM!!! Three years and 8,000 later we are still trying to get out of this mess. We have never been able to access or use this "club". It's amazing how they have all these benefits and you can never utilize them. Just about every review on here is the same! Has anyone considered a class action lawsuit???
Hard sale at first resort and endless…
Hard sale at first resort and endless promises. None come to fruition. You're infinitely better off purchasing rack rates through specific resorts or cruise lines than this shell game. Pay enormously upfront and then shown huge cash amounts that you are "allowed" to use less than 7 percent of per year. Stay AWAY!!! They are the biggest sheisters in the industry and they give good groups like Sheraton and Marriott a bad name by association. Horrible customer service, horrible everything!!!!
Joining the Unlimited Vacation Club has…
Joining the Unlimited Vacation Club has completely changed the way I travel. As a member, I’ve had access to some of the most incredible luxury resorts around the world, all at preferred rates. Whether I’m looking for a relaxing wellness retreat, a romantic getaway, or even a family vacation, UVC always offers something special.
The best part is the exclusive benefits—every time I arrive at one of their partner resorts, I feel like I’m getting VIP treatment. From personalized service to top-notch amenities, they really go out of their way to make sure my stay is memorable. The collection of resorts is diverse and constantly evolving, which means I can explore new destinations while still enjoying the same high level of service.
If you love traveling and want to do it in style, Unlimited Vacation Club is definitely worth considering. It’s given me unforgettable experiences and the ability to make memories in some of the world’s most beautiful locations. Highly recommended!
I took a vacation to Cabo San Lucas
I took a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from May 11-18 with some friends to celebrate by cousin’s birthday. My one friend rented a car and got a discount if he attended this presentation about a vacation club. So I went with him and another friend to the presentation. The presentation was impressive, but pricey and my friend wasn’t interested. They said we could all equally invest and have equal access to the website to schedule vacations, that we could use our own email and password to access the website. Since they promised that each of us would be equal owners and have equal access to the website, we decided to invest in this vacation club. One of us had to be the primary owner and the other 2 would be secondary or co-owners. The primary owner would have access to the account after 12 days and then the secondary owners could be added. They told us they couldn’t give us a copy of the contract. Also, we would not have access to the website for 12 days, but we only had 5 days to cancel.
Everything they told us was a complete lie, only 2 people could get access to the website. We found out who our account manager was and reached out to him but he never returned our calls. We finally got in touch with his supervisor, who was supposed to do a conference call with the 3 of us because he wanted to hear our complaints. We told him we just wanted to cancel and get our money back. He never made the scheduled call to us and our calls to him went unanswered so we decided to pursue legal action to get our money back
To bad you have to give one star
To bad you have to give one star, I would go negative if I could. I purchased a vacation package in Los Cabos and realized it was not as I had been promised. I rescinded during my stay and was told all would be taken care of. I am still fighting with them. Such a unethical and dishonest company. Avoid at all costs.
Got taken by a talented sales group at…
Got taken by a talented sales group at a Secrets resort. They demo'd amazing savings and amazing resorts at high cost that I immediately balked at. When they presented a less expensive level of membership, I became interested, but they failed to tell me that the lesser membership level meant far less in the way of saving, availability, resorts, etc. Also they failed to send me a copy of my contract, and notify me that I had 5 days to back out 100%. Only after the 5 days did my online registration information appear and I could explore what my membership level actually gave me the power to reserve. I was and am sorely disappointed. I guess I can get some value out of what I've invested, but I won't be seeing the 15 years of 50% discounts that I really thought I might well have signed up for. More like 15 years of 25% discounts on the least desirable rooms during the least desirable seasons. Full price otherwise.
Kudos to the sales team, they did a great job. I am not easily swayed (or so I thought), but I fell for it hook/line/sinker.
So buyer beware. Based on online forums and discussions, if you bought the full, most expensive level membership, and you travel 3-4x year, and you're super flexible about timing of travel, this could work well. But anything short of that, and troubles begin...
We were members
We were members, they say that if an event happens in your life that makes it hard or impossible to pay, you have the ability to freeze payments. That is not true at all, my wife got stage four lung cancer which she eventually beat. They would not work with us at all, in fact they harassed us with multiple daily phone calls and emails, collecting thousands of dollars for the UVC, which we were unable to take advantage of because of bills for cancer treatments, and medications.
We were finally able to stop the payments after a few years, and booked a vacation via Apple not using the club obviously, we then go through another presentation to get the free coupons to be used for spa or whatever, present them with our previous experience and amount money they collected already. At first they claimed they didnt own UVC during the time period we had our issues but that proved to be incorrect and they did in fact own UVC during the majority of that time. You think a reputable company would apply that amount to a new contract; but you would be wrong they more or less gave us the middle finger, offering us hotel stays, and then blaming our experience on the location we made the contract with as lying to us
BY far the WORST Club to Ever Join
BY far the WORST Club to Ever Join. Way too many restrictions, customers service has no clue to what the contracts say or how you can use your time that you already paid for. DO NOT JOIN THIS, they do nothing for their members !!!!! The discount they "SAY" they give you is a BULL because you can book cheaper thru a travel agent or get the same price, Save you money!
Had a great experience when staying at…
Had a great experience when staying at the resort in Punta de Mita . Food was excellent as was the spa where we spent a whole afternoon. If you are just looking to relax then this is the place for an all inclusive. It is not on the cheaper end of the scale for all inclusibes but that reflects in the quality you get.
Total Scam
Total Scam. I quote "UVC and World of Hyatt are partners, they're like one and the same. If you find a lower price online, I will beat it by 25%." Turns out that's not true, only applies to two Hyatt locations. To get out of the agreement, they make you pay 50% of the total cost which can be tens of thousands of dollars. They will not honor the terms as explained by their representatives. They will reinterpret the terms later to scam you out of your money and you will get no benefits. Fraudulent organization
