Beautiful People, Beautiful Shop, Beautiful Plants
Urban Tropicana is one of those rare places where everything is lovely. The shop is beautiful, the plants are stunning, and the people are genuinely kind.
Every visit starts with good intentions and ends with me leaving with another plant that I absolutely did not need but somehow couldn’t live without. The selection is always fantastic, the plants are healthy and well cared for, and there is always something unusual to tempt you.
A special mention to Steve and Lewis, who are among the loveliest people you could meet. Friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and always happy to share their passion for plants. They make every visit feel like catching up with friends who just happen to be experts at encouraging your plant addiction.
My home is becoming increasingly jungle-like, my bank balance is becoming increasingly concerned, but my happiness levels have never been higher.
If you love plants, beautiful spaces, and genuinely lovely people, Urban Tropicana is an absolute gem. 🌿💚🌵✨

Kim, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review.
Reading this genuinely made our day. We're delighted that you enjoy visiting Urban Tropicana and that you've found so many plants that somehow managed to come home with you! We work hard to create a space that's inspiring, welcoming, and full of healthy, interesting plants, so it's incredibly rewarding to hear that this comes across.
Your kind words about us mean a great deal. Sharing our passion for plants and helping fellow plant lovers grow their collections is one of the best parts of what we do, and we're so pleased that our chats have become part of your visits.
We can only apologise to your bank balance for the ever-expanding jungle at home, but we're thrilled to hear it's bringing you so much happiness!
Thank you again for your support. We look forward to seeing you again soon - and perhaps introducing you to your next “absolutely necessary” plant! 🙂🌿💚

Urban Tropicana: Where Self-Control Goes to Die
I collected my Euphorbia Lactea ‘White Ghost’ from the Urban Tropicana shop and it was worth every penny. The plant is absolutely stunning, healthy, architectural, and looks like something that escaped from a very stylish desert planet. It’s already become the centrepiece of the room.
What really makes Urban Tropicana special, though, is the people. Steve and Lewis were both there when I collected it and they are genuinely two of the loveliest people you could meet. Friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and always happy to chat plants without making you feel rushed or pressured.
The dangerous thing about visiting Urban Tropicana is that you go in for one plant and leave mentally redesigning your entire house around several more. My bank account may have concerns, but my plant collection is thriving.
Fantastic plant, fantastic service, and fantastic people. Highly recommended. 🌵💚🌿

Hi Kim, Wow - what a review! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind words.
We're absolutely delighted that your Euphorbia Lactea ‘White Ghost’ has found its place as the centrepiece of your home. We have to agree, it's a truly spectacular plant and definitely looks like it belongs on a very stylish desert planet! 🌵✨
Your comments about us mean a great deal. Creating a welcoming space where fellow plant lovers can chat, learn, and find something special is exactly what Urban Tropicana is all about.
We're sorry (but not too sorry!) to hear about the impact on your self-control. "Going in for one plant and leaving with plans to redesign the entire house" is a side effect we're very familiar with ourselves! 😄
Thank you again for your support, your humour, and your recommendation. We hope you enjoy your White Ghost for many years to come, and we look forward to seeing you again when the next plant temptation strikes. 💚🌿

Urban Tropicana is hands down the most amazing plant shop! The staff are super friendly and went above and beyond to help my friend and me learn how to properly look after our new plants. As a fellow plant lover, they even surprised me with a little snake plant as a gift! They have everything from exotic and rare finds to easy-to-care-for greenery. If you’re in Chiswick, this is a must-visit.
