Looked at there postage rates and thought they were very reasonable so I bought a lot of slot cars to see what it was like. And yes the postage was very good, but however I’m now into my fifth week and no sign of them. I did email them and they responded quickly only to be told they had only just started to pack 3 weeks after the auction

Vectis takes a high commission yet takes far longer than any auction I know to try selling the items. It took them seven months to put my items in an auction and the money for sold items was yet another long wait. They listed a few obvious items as individual lots but did little work on checking out or sorting anything else. The remaining items were carelessly tossed in large boxes where they were largely hidden and easily damaged. They also mislabelled a number of my items. Vectis seems to take on more than they are capable of properly processing and it is the customers who loose out because of that. I will never use them again.

I spent just over £200 on a Wing Nut Wings 1/32nd rare aircraft model which arrived minus a great deal of parts to build it. While I understand looking at every item in the auction would be almost impossible I was very disappointed but to date they have told me I will get a full refund and I have sent it back. I won't be buying any items like this again, far too risky. If you cant see it and check it before a sale DO NOT BUY IT. A lesson learnt but I have to say to date the lady I dealt with has been excellent in re-assuring me I will get my money back which is more than a lot of other people would do. The guy who put this in the auction sale must have known it was minus parts.

Vectis Auctions are my go to auction house, their service is always great, purchases are well packed and communications are great.

The service from Vectis was superb - items were packaged really well, postage costs were very reasonable and they were very good at delaying dispatch of the items since I was on holiday. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I won one lot in one of their recent auctions, this was a long time grail of mine so I was very happy to find it for sale in the UK and was aware of their fees and delivery times, but just to let you know - while they clearly disclose what they charge on their website you still might be caught off-guard with your total, even if you think you've got a good deal.
As example - I won a lot with a final price of £80, buyer's premium including VAT was £21.60 (so 27% on top), shipping a medium item was £19.95 and VAT for delivery is £3.99, so the invoice total was £125.54 (aka 55% on top of my final bid). If I won more medium sized lots shipping for extra ones would be £4 on top of base price of £19.95+VAT, so while it might be slightly more cost efficient if you plan to go big with your purchases you still have to keep in mind the 27% buyer's premium fee.

I also would like to notice I waited 2 weeks for my parcel (I don't live in remote area so this wasn't the reason) - I appreciate it takes time to process hundreds of lots but if they're charging £24 for shipping I feel like they should either lower the price of shipping or process their orders quicker to justify it.
To be fair and transparent my order was sent with Parcelforce 24h delivery and they packed my item as safely as it is possible, so I understand where at least some of my money has gone, but still it's quite a lot.

It was a tough decision to sell my collection, it has taken me 25 years to collect. I absolutely found the right company to auction it for me, Vectis have been amazing in every way, the communication, walking me through each part of the process, they have given me absolute confidence they will treat my collection with respect and Love.
I received updates on each part of the process, received a call to discuss best auction to put my collection in, the gentleman (Peter) cataloguing my collection was so understanding as it was very tough for me to let it go.
They came and collected from my house which was very helpful, I would recommend Vectis to ALL collectors out there looking to sell.

I collected 100s of Barbie dolls but needed sell my collections to make space at home. After watching a TV programme about Vectis, I decided to sell my items with them. They can sell at scale with the correct world wide interested buyers.
Vectis have just sold my first batch of items. The Team of staff helped me through the initial stages of selling with Vectis. They are a very efficient and professional organisation with the feel of a friendly trustworthy business. I enjoyed watching most of the on line sale and thought the two auctioneers did a fantastic job.

My husband and I have been collected so many years my husband more than me we have thousands of items in the house I have toy memorabilia and we needed to condense down we had our 100 boxes what we wanted to sell and deliberated with different ways of selling different auction houses we put a post on a page on Facebook and one of the ladies from vectis contacted me for messenger after having many chats with her she put my husband and I at ease that our collectibles would be handled with care and sold for the best price they could get we arrange for our things to be collected in November and the gentleman who came to collect our items was very courteous and handle that objects with the utmost of care we had an email within a day and letter for the post with all our items listed which we had sent we had little confusion over the commission costs and fees when we rang our call was answered within minutes and we were talk through everything and everything was explained clearly in a polite manor I have had a couple of conversations over messenger and also email and phone and everybody we have spoke to is being polite caring understanding our sales have started and we are on our fifth sale and we are very happy with the service so far and will be using them in the future with out with the collectibles

Brilliant company to do business with . All items I’ve bought this year are in fine condition.
Items packed and have arrived soon after the auction date .
I can recommend them, to any collector.

I am an international buyer that has been regularly buying from Vectis for the past five years. Their postage fees are way above market rates and they constantly charge VAT when it is supposed to be VAT free. I am fed up with constantly having to ask for corrected invoices. This occurs so regularly that I am now wondering whether this is part of their business plan. I will stop dealing with Vectis. There are better traders across the globe. International buyers - please avoid.

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH POSTAGE TIMES A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO AND GAVE A REVIEW TO SAY AS MUCH. OVER THE LAST YEAR I HAVE STARTED TO BUY AGAIN AND WOW!! WHAT A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT!! THE ITEMS ARE STILL TOTALLY AS DESCRIBED AND NOW THEY ARE POSTED OUT WITHIN A WEEK OR TWO!! WELL DONE VECTIS A 100% IMPROVEMENT AND A 100% RECOMMENDATION FROM ME. I WILL KEEP ON BUYING AND SO SHOULD YOU!

Absolute...rubbish do not use...brought four items...there experts said we're near mint condition...when received after paying £50 in fees...and £24 in delivery fees....(Absolute joke) they were pure crap......cob webs...broken boxes..I SPENT .£270 ON A PILE OF CRAP.....THEY ARE SCAMMERS....WHEN I WENT TO COMPLAIN NO ONE INTERESTED...STAY WELL CLEAR...

This has got to be the best auction house I’ve ever used. All staff I’ve spoken to have been super friendly, communication is fantastic and the speed they get the items to you is truly amazing. For example I bought items from two separate auction websites last Thursday and Friday - my items from Vectis have been dispatched and sent and are arriving today ( only 5 days after I won them ) …… but the other auction site im still waiting for the actual new invoice that includes shipping and have been told it could take upto 3 weeks! And that’s just the invoice !
I will continue to use vectis as their service and items they have in their auctions are the best.
