If I could give less than one star I would. This company gets you for a $1 vehicle search. You then canceled after that. And then a few months later you realize that it wasn't canceled and they're charging you $29.95 and then you try to contact them. And they never answer the phone number that they have for 24/7 doesn't do anything. Texting to chat. Doesn't go anywhere they say they will cancel it for you, and that doesn't work because the next month is still getting charged again. So after trying to email them about four or five times with no reply. I finally went to the bank and filed a claim. The bank in two days returned my funds and is probably going to go against them to reclaim the money. Stay away from this company, well it's not really a company. It's a scam. Good luck

Same as for all people here, got scammed with subscription and took a while to remove it. You need to call them or send an email to remove subscription. The worst system I have seen ever

I needed a VIN history ONCE and I have been billed $29.95 a month for almost a year. I have tried contacting them to turn this SCAM off but no one replies!

This is as scam please don’t pay the $1 they end up charging you a subscription you never applied for i call customer service once i seen them charge the 1st time they said they will cancel
The subscription and issued my refund that was on January 7 they never canceled and they charge my card again on February 7. I called again to cancel and to ask for my refund again. They told me they were not giving me my refund 

I'm not even sure how they subscribed me. I only noticed because my credit union blocked the charge and locked my card. I called their customer support and they said they couldn't find any record of me using my email or searching for the last 4 digits of my debit card. She couldn't figure out how to cancel the subscription. So, if they keep trying to charge me, it will lock my card every time.

Its a Scam. They charged $29.95 luckily my bank declined it

This website is a scam. They offer a $1 report, but it’s empty. They also keep your information for a subscription that you never authorized. Moreover, they don’t comply with their refund or cancellation policies, making it hard to get both.

Absolute scam, it says it's $1 dollar to do find a report on a vehicle and then without notice sets up a monthly subscription of $29.45. Stay far away.

Horrible company. Last year i used their website and mistakenly subscribed to it. I forgot about it. Then got charged for few months until i found out and cancelled. I asked for refund explained i never used their product. But no refund. Beside i found out it is a very product provides inaccurate information, mischarges customers by advertising wrong information,never listens to customers who run their company. So high risk product to use because of very low reputation. I think we have better products to use

Vin History is an absolute scam. I never knowingly signed up for any subscription or recurring service, yet I was charged multiple times without my consent. When I contacted customer service to dispute the charges and request a refund, I was flat-out denied. The representative I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns or explaining the charges clearly, she became argumentative and ultimately hung up on me.

This company relies on deceptive practices and makes it nearly impossible to resolve billing issues once they have your payment information. There was no accountability, no attempt to help, and zero customer service integrity. Being charged for something you never agreed to and then being treated poorly for questioning it is unacceptable.

I strongly advise others to steer clear of Vin History. Read the fine print, monitor your bank statements closely, and avoid doing business with a company that handles disputes this unprofessionally.

Scams you into a $30/mo subscription when you go to get your $1 vin report. Doesn’t give you any useful vin info, charges your card more than once. I will never be using this site again.

DO NOT TRY THIS OUT! Would give this company 0 stars if possible. The report is not like Carfax at all, plus for thorough details you had to keep adding a $1 charge. Went to cancel at the end of the week, only to get a charge for the next month, that I am now disputing with my credit card company. They denied the payment (fortunately) but now I have to look at rerouting so many payments based off of this card

Had the same experience of everyone else, paid $1 for trial and got charged 29.99 the past 5 months and didn't catch it till now, even tho I canceled the day after I saw the first charge. No can't even get into their site. Called my bank and they said they can stop payment but if the charge it again under a different company name my bank can't stop it!!!

Fraud!! they got my information from another company!!

I originally had done business with this fraudulent company in January 2023. I was able to cancel my “contract” February 1, 2023.
All of a sudden, September 2025 through October 2025 I was charged five times for $29.95. Five charges like clockwork for $29.95 for five weeks in a row all occurring at midnight or a few minutes after. This is $150!!! Serious $.

I disputed this with my credit card company and got the charges reversed.

HOWEVER, then, VinHistoryUSA sent fake documents to the credit card company and now all the charges have been reinstated. The documents are just screenshots showing that I supposedly purchased from them and shows that they emailed reports to me and that they know my address and have an IPA address showing it was me making the purchases.
I never did receive any emails from them and I checked my junk email. But the fact that VinhistoryUSA sent a document saying they emailed me a report is enough for my credit card company to think that I purchased something.

I never requested anything from this company since 2023. I know to stay as far away from them as possible.
I’m not even doing anything related to VIN number research as well.
I had my credit card number changed, but the bank has reinstated all the charges on my new number.
I cannot get my credit card company to take my word versus the scammers.
I don’t know what to do because I definitely did not request any information from this company or any other Vin # information company.

I have not received the report I paid for. I contacted them many times and I got no answer. I believe it is a scam website.

On November 2, 2023 I requested a vin report for free, put in the needed information including credit card information for the 7 day free trial. I received the report on the email and promptly forgot about the free trial. I canceled it on 11/14/2023 and never used the company again. Fast forward to 09/07/2025 this corrupt company charge my credit card once a week, with the same vehicle and vin! I didn't catch it until about a month later and disputed the charges. The credit card reached out to vinhistory and they said it was all legitimate charges, which is total BS! I have not used their corrupt company since 11/02/2023. I called Vinhistoryusa.com and they hung up the phone on me 3 times then blocked my number. If you need a vehicle history report just use Carfax, DO NOT EVER USE VINHISTORYUSA.COM they are corrupt and will use your credit card information even years later if they can.

Very shady business practice of automatically charging you a subscription fee of $29.95 after 7 days which was not clearly stated when I signed up for my report for $1.00. When I got the charge on my credit card 7 days later I got on a chat session immediately and was told my subscription would be canceled and they would review the refund request and send me an e-mail with the decision which I never did receive (the email or the refund). Today I received notification that I was once again charged $29.95 so they did not cancel my subscription as they said they would. I called them this time and I did just receive an e-mail that the subscription has been canceled and it appears as though the $29.95 fee was reversed this time. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

The same complaint as everyone else. It’s supposed to be one dollar and then they fraudulently charged $29.95. Called to get it refund and canceled. The refund never happened and I got charged again this month.
