I bought a history for a single car but then got billed 29.95 for a monthly membership every month until I noticed 3 months later. Called to cancel and got an email confirmation. Then a few days later charged 29.95 again. Typical fraud. And the report is nowhere near carfax report.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. I requested information about a VIN number from them and never received it. When I tried to cancel my subscription, I found that they were unreachable by phone or email and never responded to my inquiries. I even opened a claim with PayPal, but unfortunately, PayPal couldn’t help either.

This is a fraudulent scam site- Takes money when you have canceled on the same day as you signed up on the free trail. Unable to contact- wont let you cancel membership through unsubscribe- says contact them. Do that and generated reply say click unsubscribe- have you running round in circles. speak to live chat, they say they have canceled it for you. Then money comes out of your account. Numerous emails with same generated reply. Live chat again on their website- they say they will expedite it as urgent and someone will email me- still no reply days later. Check website again and it shows membership is active. Still can not cancel it. Cant use live chat????? Cant see where card details are located to remove. Final resort- cancel my card and get a new one. Biggest scam page ever. How much is this company stealing from people. It needs to be shut down

I signed up to get one car history report, and began trying to cancel on the 3rd day of the free 7-day trial period. On the 8th day I noticed the full membership charge to my account. When I called to resolve this I was informed I had only cancelled one of my accounts. Supposedly the second time I looked at the same report counted as a full second sign up and account. Very deceptive and misleading. Customer service also refused to refund the full subscription charge, and told me I was at fault. It probably would have been cheaper to just pay for the carfax report.

I purchased a VIN report for $1. The report was no better than a free report. I was later told via email (in really small print at the bottom) that I was subscribed and would be billed at $30/mo. There was a cancelation link in the email which I clicked, but then the web page told me "unable to process your request, please contact customer support". I contacted customer support about this and they replied "If you would like to cancel your subscription, please use the cancellation/unsubscribe link in your initial email. If you have any other questions or need other assistance at this time, let us know." So I tried using the cancelation link again and it still didn't work. I told them this again, and again I got and I have been charged $30 5 months in a row and not sure how to stop the charges!!!

Terrible everything. They literally show pictures of the car and tell you the engine, that’s it. Then they hang up every time you call to cancel subscription. STAY FAR AWAY.

Company is charging my account $29.95 monthly after advertising that their services are $1. This is not clearly disclosed beforehand and there is no legitimate reason for them doing so. This is a vin search company. Why would anyone need a monthly subscription for this.

I could tell right away that it was a phishing scheme and they just wanted more info my email should have been enough but when I refused to give anymore info they ran. the 1 dollar anyways and sent a report with 0 info to my email they are crooks. The worst part is I didn't even click on them to begin with I clicked on kelly blue book they somehow hijacked the link

Can I make it 0!? The prior reviews say it all. You get lured in, then are charged the $29 for a terrible service. There is no refund and no recourse with paypal as they seem to side with these scammers now. I dumped paypal after being a customer for 20+ years over this and Hondapartsnow false returns.

I signed up for a 7 day free trial and paid $1.00 for a vehicle history report. They say you can cancel anytime in the 7 day period and not be charged further. They subscribe you for $29.95 a month if you don't cancel within 7 days. I tried to cancel in four days but the number I was told to call was invalid. I then emailed support, which was given as another way to cancel. I was told I had to select the "cancel" button on my original email. I never got an original email but I had an account online that did not have a "cancel" button. There was a chat option on my account so I tried that. The chat bot told me they could not cancel through chat. They asked if I had a service ticket number. I did not. They said they would send me one and that I should wait for a reply in my email. I received the service ticket number in my email that same evening and replied to that. No response. On my account I noticed a different phone number than the one I was given when I signed up for the free trial. I tried that number and it was also invalid. I emailed again to no avail. They did not cancel my free trial and then proceeded to charge me $29.95 for the month on my subscription. I notified PayPal (who I paid through) by filing a dispute. I included all email correspondence, the chat transcript, their free trial agreement, and their cancellation agreement in an attached file to PayPal. Vin History sent something showing they cancelled my subscription so PayPal closed the case in their favor! I appealed the decision and begged them to please review the attached file that contained proof of my cancellation prior to the charges. Vin History sent PayPal a page in their agreement that shows that the subscription costs $29.95/month as if I agreed to that! They didn't show their cancellation agreement or their free trial agreement. I emailed Vin History again and got no response. Again, PayPal did not review my file with proof and dates and ruled in their favor! I had to call PayPal, insist on speaking with someone in the dispute department, and explain the situation. The dispute department said they reviewed my file and ruled in my favor and I would see a refund within 7 business days. I checked my account to confirm what she told me and it shows the case is still open, they have reached out to the vendor and expect a response by December 31st! That's over four months down the road! I could've disputed these charges with my bank and received a refund by now. This company - Vin History USA is a total scam and they need to be shut down.

Absolutely awful company. Thankfully, right after I signed up for the $1 subscription and paid $4.95 for a more detailed report, I had the foresight to block future transactions from them. I tried to cancel my subscription a day after the trial began, but I was bounced around by them. First, I tried their chat as they provided it as one of the cancellation options, but they provided me with a link to cancel. I tried using the link, but it said “sorry we can’t cancel your subscription. Contact us”. I then emailed them, because that was another cancellation option. I received no response, but then they conveniently tried to charge me the full subscription fee between all of this. Thankfully it was declined. I then followed up on the email I had sent requesting cancellation, but received a rude email saying I should use the link. I told them the link doesn’t work and that’s why I’m contacting them via email, and my bank will not approve any charges from them, so they might as well just go ahead and cancel my account. They never responded. My account is still “active” and they still try to charge me every 2 days. STAY FAR AWAY!

The company is a scam. I never signed up for a subscription and they signed me up for one without my knowledge I was supposed to be charged one dollar for a single report and then they charge me an extra five and then a week later, I’m getting charged $30 under a different business name from them. it’s impossible to get in contact with them since their number is disconnected and they will not let me cancel my subscription that I never signed up for.

They are a huge scam, and trick you into signing up for a subcription when you only wanted a $1 report. When you ask for a cancellation and a refund they keep your $$. Customer service is awful, and their business practices are deceptive.

I "purchased" the opening subscription and was told I could cancel anytime. I didn't get my report and I canceled. However, my $$ acct kept getting charged. I kept cancelling with verification that I canceled, but I kept getting charged. Paypal will now chase my $$. Wish I had read the reviews first. Silly me. Company is not good, down right scam. Don't do it!

Typical scams. Paid 1$ for a report, as advertised, but when I tried to download it they were asking for 29.99$ subscription. Never agreed to that. Nevertheless they still charged me for 29.99$!
I called the phone number they provide. (1-202)
It does not exist! I tried to send them an email.
It does not exist either. I tried another one (1-385).
I talked to somebody, told him to reverse my payment and to cancel my "subscription", he said OK and hung up on me.
This number is a Utah number, they say they are located in California! STAY AWAY FROM THEM

I discovered unauthorized recurring charges to my PayPal account from VinHistoryUSA.com. I never signed up for any subscriptions. I am in the process of disputing the charges and also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I didn't mind paying $1 for a report on a vehicle I purchased in July 2025. After I read the fine print that my debit card will be billed $24.95 at the end of my 7 day trial period ends, I called the customer service number to cancel my account. I checked my bank account and saw two pending charges for 1 from VinHistoryUSA. I called customer service again and I was told the additional $1 charge was to unlock the report. I attempted to read the report for my Nissan Rouge Select 2015 and it was requiring me to start the entire process over. I called customer service a third time to complain about not being able to read the report for my Nissan Rouge 2015 SUV and was told that is because you cancelled your account. I paid $2 for nothing. I decided to cancel my debit card after reading numerous negative reviews from people that are being charged $1 every other day or being charged a monthly fee even though they cancelled their account.

Scammers. A google search for free VIN check brings up VINHISTORYUSA.COM reads ABSOLUTELY FREE VEHICLE REPORT. I spent so much time entering my info that when I was done and it asked for $1, I felt my time was worth more than $1 and paid the $1. The dollar is a scam to get your info. Approximately 10 days later, they charged me $29.95. When I emailed to complain - they won't help you over chat or phone, they said they canceled my account. Now today, they took another $29.95. Do NOT use this site!!!

This is a horrible company to scam your money.It was advertised as a free vehicle vin search. They charge $1 to view the report. Then they charge $29.95 after 7 days and monthly $29.95 recurring charges without letting you know until it was too late.  I ended up paying $60.90.I contacted them and they would not do anything.I would not recommend using this company to do any vehicle information search.
