Provided no service or info on my car, then charged me an additional 29.95 for an auto subscription I never ordered. Tried to get a refund they refuse. They need to be shut down. This site is an internet scam, stay away!!! Pam was the scammers rep that refused to help

Horrible service! I emailed customer support at the beginning of the month requesting to cancel the membership. I did not receive a reply. I called them and explained the situation. I asked to cancel the membership and request a refund. They denied the request, saying I did not cancel the membership prior, and I explained that I did, and I have the emails to show. I offered to forward the emails, and rep was not giving me a option to show this, and because they do not see this on their end, it was not valid. Be careful with this scam of a company!

Signed up for the one dollar report, it never sent me an email stating they were going to give me a trial nothing and now seven days later they charged my account $29.95. Luckily, I went through PayPal and PayPal took care of it. I had even emailed Vinhistory four times requesting a confirmation that they weren’t gonna charge me. They never responded.

I payed $1 for a vin search. I wasn't expecting much, being it's a dollar, but man was I wrong.

The $1 is for a 1 week trial, where, for a week, you can do vin searched for $1. Great. Except the vin search I did was for a 2013 Ford Focus ST hatchback, and what came back was a 2014 ford focus sedan. NO OTHER INFORMATION AT ALL. Just make and model, and it was wrong even at that.

It gets better.
I spent 15 minutes looking for how to cancel my trial so I don't end up paying an exorbitant amount of money for a broken vin search tool, but this was not possible. Contacting their email yields only an automated response from an email account not even linked to vinhistoryusa. responding to this email yields nothing. When asking this email to cancel my membership, I'm told "go to your account settings and use the cancel membership feature". You'll never believe it, but when you go to the "cancel membership feature", A PHONE NUMBER is all that resides on the page. It even gives you instructions on what buttons to press on the automated phone line to cancel the membership, cool okay we're getting somewhere... YOU'D THINK.
When you call the AUTOMATED phone line, you're kept on hold for 5 minutes, before an automated response tells me "this phone line is not available right now". BRUH.

I have never ever said the forbidden line, but here we go.
If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Absolutely avoid this scam service and just pay a normal price with someone like carvertical.

to this day I am still unsure of how to cancel the membership. luckily it was payed through paypal, and I can use their services to refund my money and cancel memberships once my "1 week free trial" ends.

They suck you in with a $1 VIN lookup. They proceded to charge my credit card $29.95 twice a month for 13 months till I figured it out. Total $778.70 scammed.

Requested to cancel subscription and after an email response from a ' Jack Kenny ' stating link was on an email (never received) then nothing. No action following cancellation email to vinhistoryus.com and the following month (30 days after first email) subscription taken. This mob are a joke and s... show re customer service. AVOID

Scam! Paid $1 to review a report of a vehicle I was looking to buy. Carfax showed more info than this report. I wanted to cancel right away. Cancelation link did not work. Emailed several times and was sent an email confirming my cancellation. One week later notified of $29.95 being charged from my account. On the website in your account. They don’t have any way for you to delete your card information. They hold your card information illegally without you permission.

Complete waste of my time! In the title they say that it's "totally free" then after I waited 10 minutes for everything to load and put my email in, it tried to charge me! Not only that, but I've heard if you pay for it they actually charge you for a monthly subscription and scam you out of money, I don't know if that's true or not, but considering they blatantly lied in the title I would not be surprised

VinHistoryUSA.com runs a very deceiving scam. They suck you in for vin discovery charging you $1.00, then undisclosed they sign you up for a $29.95 monthly fee.
Contacting them for a refund results in lip service with no refunds. On top of that the vin information is not even correct, they displayed incorrect information on my vehicle which other vin search site got correct. Just a big money making scam.

horrible. I tried to use one time vin and without my knowledge they subscribed me and charging me $29.95 every month. There is no way to cancel. when asked they are asking to get the intial mail to unsubscribe. It is a joke. I never enrolled now they are charging me. Not sure how to cancel. No way they refunding me. I am crying. I took out lot of money

Totally a scam. Their report doesn't have what I need. After I canceled subscriptionand got a SMS confirmation, but it is still charging me. Hopefully my bank will dispute it.

Just like all the other reviews said, you cannot cancel your subscription and you get the runaround and try all their methods and none of them work. Hopefully PayPal works and just canceling the recurring payment will be good enough. I'll find out in a month...

Thus is a scam, they offer a auto vin search for $1.00 but you are signing up for a monthly subscription of $29.95. They say you can cancel any time. I cancelled the same day, but was charged the following month. I contacted the bank and filed a dispute which is in process I also went through PayPal so contact them to make sure all recurring charges are stopped
When I contacted the company ( in Utah) they just Reiterate there cancelation policy. And that you have to go through the initial email you receive but when you do that, the link does not work and you go in circles. Filing a dispute with the bank is about the only way to stop this!

There is virtually no way to cancel this scam. Not only is the ‘one-time’ VIN history purchase a lie that leads to a non-consensual subscription, but the multiple methods listed on the “cancelation policy” page are also untrue.
Naively i first tried emailing. I was told to actually “just hit the “unsubscribe’ cancellation” link in my original email.” Well that link does not exist.
Next I went back to their website to read the cancellation policy to see what I might be missing. I followed their guidance and initiated a customer service chat. This led to me being told to use email to cancel. lol. I demanded immediate cancellation and they shared a link for that. The link result? A page that read “ sorry we can’t process your cancellation request right now, please email…. Or call….” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Do not be fooled. This place is a scam. They rely on most peoples’ willingness to let 99 cents slide. They also use bots; or perhaps trafficked people, to make posts on popular media sites recommending them.

The site did not provide appropriate information. When I tried to cancel on the link, it would not cancel. I called my credit card company, who then placed a block on any attempts by VINHISTORYUSA to continue charging me.

Stupid me should have googled this company first!! The reviews are scathing. I of course paid the $1 knowing that after 7 days it's $29. I wanted to cancel immediate so called the main line, it's out of service. So I emailed, a guy replied saying to use the unsubscribe link in my initial email, I never got an initial email or payment verification email for that matter!! So I emailed him back telling him this, and was ignored.
I tried the chat, she said they don't have access to info and was putting a ticket in. I asked how I can check the ticket when I'm not getting emails. She gave me the ticket number and sent me a cancelation email. 5 mins later I get another email saying my subscription has been canceled. So help me if I get a $29 charge next week I'm going to my bank to dispute! I have the email where they said they've canceled! RUN FROM THIS SITE!!!!

Fraud business....cancelled membership via email on the same day the free trial began. They still tried to charge me for the monthly fee a few days later...then recently tried again using a different name....they are a fraud...do not trust their service(s).
