Scam! Avoid!

Much like others i was trapped in this, trying to find the appropriate word for this organization (business, company, Vendor, provider of information all give them too much credit), Shyster comes to mind for them. Paid $1 and got nothing from them. I figured it was only a dollar and cut my loss and found another approach to get my VIN history. Well 3 months later I see a recurring charge on my CC. No communication whatsoever from them. One kind thing they did is refund my last charge of $29.95, that's the only reason i would give them a 1 star and 0 stars is not possible. Avoid this group and use Face Book Market Place. There are several guys that will give you VIN information for a onetime charge of $3 to $6 per complete report.

There’s no zero stars unfortunately. Terrible business, basically impossible to cancel and the customer service is appalling. I never leave reviews but I want to warn people, just don’t use them it’s not worth it.

Incorrect data of vehicle. There is no possibility to cancel your membership/subscription. They already try charge me twice for subscription what I cancaled same where I get the car report. Thanks to God I blocked them straight away. Not recommend. This is SCAM!!!

You can't cancel your membership, it is 100% a scam.
- The phone support number is looped and will hang you up if you want too long.
- The chat service on the website is somewhat convincing, but eventually showed that it was fake by saying "You will receive a cancellation email once this chat has ended".
- If you do find the cancellation button, it is also fake, as it signs you out automatically, which results in an error to cancel your subscription.

Once again i fell into a trap. Of course i read reviews after i fell into the trap and things seem sketchy. Gonna cancel my credit card before this 7 days is up. I wonder if they will charge me early lol!

5 STAR SCAM

Would give 0 stars if possible. Scam. Charge $1 for a report then the charge is $29.95 per month. Tried to cancel immediately. It wouldn't let me cancel. I read some of the agreement. I couldn't see anything about the renewal fee either. Read horribly probably on purpose to hide the info. This company should be shut down.

Vinhistoryus billed me $29.95 for a monthly subscription on June 2nd, June 6th, June 26th, and July 6th. Following their website instructions I emailed my cancellation request to them and received a response that I could not cancel via email but had to use the link in the lower right corner of the original email sent when I signed up last year. I no longer have that email. I then went to chat -- another option for cancellation according to their website and was told that I had to follow a link (given to me in the chat). I followed that link, clicked on the "cancel" button, and received a large red message saying I was unable to cancel my subscription. Back to chat with another person and was told that I had signed up for a "bi-weekly" subscription. Not only do they not offer such a subscription, but my Vinhistoryus account labels all payments as payments for a monthly subscription. I would have to give this site the label of SCAM.

This company charges you the monthly fee even when you don’t authorize it. They bill monthly without alerting you they are making a charge. Their phone number doesn’t work to cancel your membership. Their chat bot gives you a cancel link that doesn’t work. And the email they give you to cancel says go back to the initial email and cancel from there but they don’t send an email when you get your first report. Big time scam.

I would give zero stars if possible, this website is an absolute scam. Paid the $1 fee for a VIN report that was incorrect (stated the vehicle was a 5-speed manual, vehicle is a 6-speed automatic). I cancelled the trial period the same day once I realized the information was bogus. Fast forward to today when the website tried charging $29.95 to my card. Thankfully my bank flagged it as a suspicious charge and reversed it because there is NO resolution to be found on their end. The number listed on the website just says it’s restricted from receiving incoming calls, and I typed my issue out on the chat feature for about 25 minutes without ever getting acknowledgment or a reply. Absolute scam.

THEY keep taking money even though it has been cancelled

I want to give ZERO stars! This is a total SCAM and anyone who gave 5 stars works for the scammers. I paid $1 to get a vin number which they didn't even give me. I can NOT cancel. I call the number and it hangs up on me, even if I push the number to speak to a rep it hangs up. I try on line and it gives me a big red X and tells me I have to call. I was charged $29.95 and I just noticed so I imagine it's happened more than once.

This company is deceptive and the wording on the site when buying a single report is deceptive. When trying to cancel, the link to cancel doesn't work. Don't fall for the deceptive report. It doesn't even give maintenance information on the vehicle. It tries to charge even more money for it. Just another bogus company trying to swindle people.

Scam artists. There was no cancellation link and when I contacted support they refused and kept sending me auto responses to use a link in my sign up email. Then they charged me 29.95 and I disputed it with Pay"Pal" and they sided with vin history stating they had replied to me before the end of the trial. I got no resolution. So I called the number which is a call center in India. You know what India is famous for. Scamming people. I am going to end my business with paypal as well.

This is an absolute scam and I will be taking legal action as I see I am not the only one they have scammed.

They're charging unauthorized $29.95 to my card, which I never signed up for. Pure scammers. This website should be avoided at all costs.

When searching for alternatives to carfax you get an ad for vinhistoryusa saying it is free. you fill all the information and then it says it is just a $1 to see the report. They trick you as you accept terms, where a hidden clause signs you up for biweekly $29.95 charge for no additional services. their report has weay less information and most of it is useless. Worse yet it is impossible to get your subscription cancelled as they give you links that dont work and they say we will get back to you etc. You have to fight them at the funding source.... This is not a business just a scam
