The report I received was incomplete and wanted additional money for the full report. I tried to download a copy to print and the file was corrupt. When I contacted the company to cancel the service within the7 day trial period I got autobot responses saying use the unsubscribe link on the web page to cancel. That link did nothing, and gave an error message saying contact customer service. That resulted in emails that were auto replied to, referring me back to the unsubscribe link. This does not seem to be a legitimate company. After several emails and a chat, I finally got a response claiming to have cancelled the service. Now I'm waiting to see if they will attempt to charge the recurring subcription to Paypal ....Update....They did in fact try to charge my Paypal for 29.95 subscription. I have opened a dispute with Paypal

They are an incredible rip-off!!! They state they can find information about a VIN and come up with NOTHING!!! I was able to find out everything I needed from FREE sites rather than using VinhsitoryUSA. I am currently attempting to recover my money through PayPal, as I was automatically signed up for their service. It's been a nightmare, and they are a horrible company. Save yourself and the trouble I'm going through and stick to free sites.

SCAM, STAY FAR AWAY!

Scam. Refused to give me a refund after tricking me to sign up with a misleading "one time $1" fee. AVOID!!

I would give this company a zero if I could. I tried to search a vin number in April. I paid the $1.00 fee to view the report. The report showed everything except the owner of the car (it was my own car that had been taken without my consent and was trying to verify the title was not changed). I cancelled the service the very same date. I never signed up for a subscription. Non the less, they have invoiced me twice at $29.95 each time in May. Numerous attempts to get my refund. As of this date I am still waiting on their ‘approval’ of my refund. Total scam. Offering non-existent help. Avoid at all costs. I have contacted them in April, May and June,

On June 1st they had a trial that you could pay $1.00 for 7 days if you did not cancel your subscription by the 7 days you would be charged$29.95. I canceled my subscription on June 1st 2025 the same day. Then on June 8th there was a charge on my account for$29.95. I have email confirmation of the cancellation of the subscription. I called the phone number listed on VIN history USA and was told to go through the email. So I responded through the email that sent me the confirmation of my cancellation of the subscription and there has been no refund. Today is June 23rd I called again they told me I was not eligible for a refund I asked for supervisor was told I did not have a valid reason and formed them the valid reason was they lied and that I have the email confirmation and screenshot the information and resent it to them that is my valid information since they charged me again after the cancellation. This company is not legit it is a scam and their customer service is the most horrible I have ever dealt with, I once again ask for a supervisor they would not provide one and hung up on me. This is definitely not the way to do business and heed my warning do not use this you will be charged even after you cancel your subscription, honestly I would give zero Stars if it were possible... Please do not be scammed like I was, beware of false advertisement and lies this is a horrible company.

Vinhistory USA is an over seas scam ran by clever criminals. They have been allowed to operate under the guise of bad customer service, but every act they undertake is by design. You will not receive the purchased reports and they will charge you $29.99 membership fee, regardless if you cancel on time, and they will not refund the money. It is a criminal enterprise!

This company is a joke. I paid one dollar to get the report on a vehicle I purchased the same week. The report was terrible. Carfax is much better, and the dealership provided it so I didn’t even need the report. It was fine though, because it was only $1.00, right? NO! They charged me $30 two weeks later and refuse to cancel my membership or refund the money because I knew nothing about it being a subscription! Customer service is horrible! No one ever answered. It rang and hung up so I couldn’t leave a message. The “live chat” is non existent. It said wait for one minute. I waited for 30 minutes while emailing them and trying to get through on the phone. Finally someone answered and told me how to cancel the subscription. I did what the email said and a message popped up that said, “sorry we cannot cancel your subscription, please contact us” I don’t know what to do! They won’t cancel the subscription that I never signed up for. 😡

This is a predatory company. On their site it says no questions asked refunds and cancelations but don't believe this. They will not help you at all if you have any problems. Lowlife company.

If I could give a negative number I would. This is a scam. You think you are getting a trial vin report for $1 and then they charge you $29.95 for a subscription. Good luck cancelling it and getting in touch with customer service.

This site will charge you $1 per report and will not state anything about a $29.95 subscription fee (monthly). But in next day it charged me $29.95 saying subscription fee. When trying to cancel there is no cancellation option on their website. Also there is no response from customer service. Totally scam. Stay away. They get your card details by charging $1 and take out your money.

This site is a scam, they will steal your money and you will have to fight to get it back. My bank had to be involved

Paid $1 for a VIN report that contained incorrect information. Tried to cancel the subscription but could not on the website. Contacted support and have evidence that they said my account was cancelled and I would not be billed. I was billed. This isn't a legitimate company, they prey on people.

Absolutely awful. Same experience as others below. I paid the $1 for a VIN history, which wasn’t accurate. Was billed $29.95, tried to cancel and got the “please click cancelation link in your original email.” Except there was no original email. I emailed them this and no response. I did live help and they sent me a link to cancel but I got a message that they couldn’t cancel and to contact them, which I did again and got the same message to click the link from a non-existent email. I canceled my subscription through PayPal, but I’m worried they will continue to try to bill me. I did finally email the company stating they should consider that email my cancelation email and not to bill me further. What a scam!

This company is a fraud. Don’t use them. Save your $1. I looked up a 1984 vehicle and they showed no records on anything, including owners, which I know there are atleast 2. Don’t use this site.

They charge $1 for a Vin check then without authorization, I see $29.95 show up on my credit card. They don't want to give refund and I then after research find that they find different names to continue charging credit cards. Looks like a scam

Total fraud. Went in circles trying to cancel and every time it just gave me errors. Called, emailed, chatted, with no results. Then they charged my credit card. DO NOT USE THEM.

Not to mention the report they gave me was complete BS.

Total scam. The auto report was basically empty and then you have been signed up for a subscription that you get charged for and can't a refund.

If I could give zero stars I could. I canceled before trial period ended. Saw I was still getting charged as if I kept subscription never got a response from "live" agent via chat. When asked by prompt for cancelation option it would say error and disconnect right away. When selecting other option it would ring couple times then same thing say error and hang up. I finally got ahold of somebody and said my subscription was canceled. A month later today I see notification from my bank saying I am being charged for subscription. I called once again and first lady was rude saying my account was canceled as of to day not as of last month or when I initially "canceled" the trial. I asked for my refund and she said no refund because the billing cycle ended. I asked what the point of having a refund option or advertising on the website that refunds are "immediate and no questions asked". Same goes for cancelation "immediate and hassle free". None of that is true as it took 2 months to cancel. I will see next month if it is truly canceled
