In the past 30 days, my WordPress websites have been down for 38 times for a total of 22 hours, 59 minutes.
My case ([OEML-3348796] [IEML-1686404]) was escalated and handled by online experience specialist "Cathy T."
Given the repeated downtime, I asked Vodien's technical team to get to the bottom of the root cause, but instead, I received the following response from Cathy:
"I would also like to set the right expectation regarding shared hosting services. Since shared hosting operates on a single server that is used by multiple customers, resources such as CPU, memory, and bandwidth are distributed among all users. Because of this environment, performance and uptime can sometimes be affected by high usage or traffic spikes from other accounts on the same server, which may result in intermittent downtime or slower performance."
In other words, customers of Vodien can expect to endure with downtime or slower performance, as that is part of their service commitment to its customers.
During subsequent downtimes, Cathy tried to shift the blame to Cloudflare, the CDN which I have used for my websites for the past decade and which I have not changed any settings.
I asked in no equivocal terms for a compensation proposal, but instead of getting back to me with a substantive response, Cathy unilaterally closed my ticket because she has not heard back from me (when the ball was squarely in her court).

Multiple bad experiences, I have had them call my hosting clients directly and try to sell them services around me. Also watch the check out when you renew services they drop in other services and if you miss them, they get added on auto-renew. I have had accounts there for years and hard to transfer all the mail account so stay put but I would never recommend or start a new account with them. Avoid them completely.

Finally Jane was able to resolve my email issue. This is the third time I contacted Vodien to resolve the email issue. It appeared to be an email routing issue where it was incorrectly set. This should have also been checked previously. Glad Jane was on the ball and found it.

I’ve been a Vodien customer for over a decade, and the service has gone from bad to worse.
Frequent Downtime: In just the past six months, I’ve faced major outages on 7 Dec 2025 (E‑435560), 6 Mar 2026 (E‑484049), 18 May 2026, and now 12 Jun 2026 (E‑540868), for already more than 10 hours, and still unresolved.
Each time, I was the one discovering downtime before reporting it — Vodien does not proactively monitor outages. This repeated failure has directly harmed my business operations and SEO visibility. My website is my lifeline, and I depend entirely on it to draw clients.
Customer Service Problems: Vodien has contradicted itself on whether my plan included a dedicated IP, even when I produced email evidence and archived proof from their own website. Their invoices lacked detail, making it impossible to prove features without digging up old records. Support often dismissed issues like delayed emails, which cost me clients.
From Bad to Worse: I made the mistake of upgrading to their business plan after repeated appeals to abandon my legacy HostExpert plan, thinking stability would improve. Instead, frequent downtime began, proving the upgrade only made things worse.
Broken Promises: After the May 18, 2026 outage, Vodien promised to review compensation for SLA breaches. They never followed up.
Conclusion: Vodien charges premium rates but delivers instability, poor monitoring, and dismissive customer service. If your business depends on uptime and reliable support, avoid Vodien.

A slow tedious process for her as the issue was not common, a few payments with receipt indicating paid even with not enough credit stored so considered not fully paid but got stuck as it qualify as renewed. Think accounting software glitches. She relentlessly focus to solve it within one instant and archived with probably alot of energy. Appreciated.

We have been trying for more than 2 mths now to successfully migrate our emails from the system Vodien first set us up for to what they are now suggesting we be on (from Exchange to Titan).
This was their suggestion as we were having so much trouble with the system they had us on (constantly asking for passwords - slowing our teams' workflow significantly).
We were assured it wouldn't affect our work, that they would perform the migration over the Easter Weekend and everything would happen seamlessly.
Well its now 7 weeks since Easter and it still hasn't been completed to our satisfaction.
Terrible follow up - terrible service!!!
We finally got a support person to help (usually they say somone will get back to us), she helped us set up our Desktops then assured us she would send us information on how to do it on our mobile devices.
The information she sent didn't make any sense - we asked for help again - got the usual answer that our call is important and they will escalate (only to not be contacted again )
We managed to find help on line from a different supplier (they listened to us and sent us a video on how to do it - completely different information than what the Vodien Team gave us - the codes where correct however the terminology was much better and inline with our devices)
Our Calanders have still not sunk across (something very important for any business) - and we received an email today saying they won't be helping with this!!!!
Terrible service!!!
